Who they are

There are DJs, and then there are “DJ’s DJs”—the influential jocks who break tunes, unearth obscure must-haves, spark off new trends, and breathe new life into the artform at every opportunity. Marc Schneider has been the embodiment of the latter for over two decades. The Hamburg native began amassing his personal collection of DJ weapons amid the heyday of ‘90s German raves, with his early appearances feeding the folklore of legendary parties such as Love Parade and the original Tresor club. As the longtime gatekeeper for music distributor Word and Sound, he has overseen virtually every worthwhile piece of vinyl to enter the country. He continues to apply his tastemaker status and veteran knowledge in the DJ booth through regular invitations to Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (London), Eleven (Tokyo), Rex Club (Paris), The Bunker (NYC), Bassani (Tbisili), Smart Bar (Chicago), Culture Box (Copenhagen), Watergate (Berlin), Electric Pickle (Miami). That’s not to mention his long-running affiliation with Hamburg’s PAL and the Golden Pudel Club, as well as the infamous annual event Fusion Festival. With his sporadic yet highly-valued releases and remixes for labels like Circus Company, Silver Network, New Kanada and Word and Sound’s inhouse imprint Was Not Was, Marc has endeared himself to record-buying heads over a number of years. Similarly, it was little surprise for those in the know to learn that Marc had been secretly at the helm of the formerly anonymous cult label Story, the unassuming vinyl-only imprint of quality deep cuts that has boasted the likes of Anton Zap, Cottam and XDB on its roster since 2008. Technique can be refined, and skill can be learned, but impeccable taste is rare and elusive. That’s why Marc Schneider is your favouíte DJ’s favourite DJ.Their RA profile lists Circus Company, Was Not Was, Metamorphic, New Kanada and 3 more.Recently at Paloma, Golden Gate, Kater · often with Karina Schneider, ACID BOGEN, EXTRA, none of them here that night

“MARIE LUNG If Marie is not in the DJ booth spinning records, you most likely find her on the floor.”

MARIE LUNG If Marie is not in the DJ booth spinning records, you most likely find her on the floor. Though highly respected by her fellow jockeys for her mixing style and impeccable skill at that, she’s a fan first and a club kid at heart – which seems to be a major reason for her ability to immediately connect with different kinds of crowds in various settings. As a DJ, Marie is known for her dynamic and engaging sets, which seamlessly blend together different styles of house music. Her performances have taken her to some of the most prestigious festivals, including FUSION, GARBICZ or NACHTIVILLE and Clubs like Frankfurt’s ROBERT JOHNSON, Hamburg’s PUDEL or Berlin’s HEIDEGLÜHEN, to name just a few. Dabbling in beat making and production for quite a while now, Manchester based Record label FOREVER DREAMING signed Marie for her first 12“Vinyl EP entitled IVY BLUES, which will hit record stores in JUNE 2023. Despite her growing success, Marie remains grounded and focused on her art, constantly pushing herself to evolve and experiment with new sounds and techniques. With her unique style and infectious energy, Marie Lung is definitely an artist to watch. YOUTUBE SAYS… “Great set… Showed great skill and knowledge with track selection… some proper old skool acid house, not modern takes of vintage class but the real thing. Verty well done. You will go far Marie Lung!” ACID INTERNET SEO, 2021 “I wish I could like this 37 times. Also, I want all of these records” cornfilms, 2022 “100% - seen her at fusion festival for the first time and admiring her mixing skills ever since <3 Keep it up Marie!!!” MA L, 2022Their RA profile lists Dreaming Forever.Recently at Kater, OYE Kreuzkoelln, Paloma · often with Kdema, Carlo, Kat Davids, none of them here that night
