“Gigolo means Playboy, but the word originally derives from the ancient French "Gigole" which used to mean Dancing Woman.”

Gigolo means Playboy, but the word originally derives from the ancient French "Gigole" which used to mean Dancing Woman. This makes DJ Gigola both, a dancing woman and a playboy. Where others see tension and contradiction, DJ Gigola sees a chance for creation. In her playful way of breaking down boundaries, she hits the Zeitgeist of a generation that continuously transforms and recontextualises seemingly fixed concepts and stereotypes. As a result, both her sets and productions are quint-essentially genre-fluid. Her critically acclaimed cutting edge releases take a hybrid approach, successfully blending boundaries between Dance and Pop music. On a night out, you might hear DJ Gigola mix Madonna out of an old Bonzai record and back into Surgeon all within 5 minutes. Her sets are enigmatic and reflect a natural sense of curiosity - eager to explore, she does not shy away from experimenting. As playful as DJ Gigola’s selection may seem, however, she rigorously weaves together seemingly disperse tracks with one common thread: rhythm. She experiences music primarily through the rhythmic structure emergent from patterns of percussion rather than layers of melodic harmonies. This deep understanding for rhythm and groove, combined with her multi-facetted knowledge of music and curious audacity to try new things makes DJ Gigola one of the most exciting DJs to experience on a dance floor.Their RA profile lists Public Possession, Live From Earth and Method 808.Recently at Else, Berghain, MUENZE · often with OZA, MCR-T, SALOME, none of them here that night

LB aka LABAT shines as the poster child of a generation of DJ-producers doing away with the concept of genre in music. A vibrant representative of a new wave that celebrates club culture in all its diversity, he fuses filtered house, techno, UKG and hard house into euphoric yet wistful dance music Just like his production work, his sets —arm-swinging, sweat-inducing, body-shaking experiences— build a bold bridge between feverish reminiscences of 90s rave culture and the mutant hybridizations of contemporary dance music. Born in Strasbourg, he grew up between France and India, where he spent four years in an English school. He started mixing at the age of 7 after inheriting turntables from his older brother, a hip-hop and scratching aficionado. He was 15 when he played his first nightclubs where he earned €50 per set and showed a marked preference for Detroit and minimal techno, while his mother waited for him outside. At 20, he landed his first international gigs and moved to Lyon, beginning a residency at Café Galerie and dedicating himself fully to DJing. Soon after, he was invited to play at Nuits Sonores, which then led to his first Boiler Room session. He's been on tour ever since!Their RA profile lists Because Music, D.KO Records, Steel City Dance Discs, Groovedge and 2 more.Recently at OST, RSO.BERLIN · often with Tlim Shug, Kasey Cortez, DJ Audit, none of them here that night

'Brazilian producer and vocalist LYZZA has risen to become one of electronic music’s most promising avant pop producers' - Beatport Chasing connection, LYZZA has been paving her way towards a sense of belonging through music in the age of information. It started at uploading music to the internet and secretly deejaying at 16 in clubs and Ball's in Amsterdam, to which LYZZA quickly made her way to international clubs like Fabric, K41, Berghain, ALL and DC10. Since then LYZZA has built a name for herself in the Indie music- and club scene as ‘one of the artists shaping the future of music’- Crack Magazine. In 2017, LYZZA broke through the electronic scene with her first EP ‘PowerPlay’, a fierce experimental club record that made its way onto the runway soundtracks of fashion brands, and is considered to be one of the main records having influenced the now popularized 'Club Music' sound. 2018 saw LYZZA move on from the shadowy club anthems of her debut record to a string of Alternative-Pop releases which put her on the map as as a lyricist and proved her chops as a collaborator, as she tapped Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Jungle’s Tom McFarland for the 2019 ‘DEFIANCE’ EP leadsingle, ‘Neverland’. LYZZA has cemented her presence in the avant-garde music world as a DJ and producer with standout performances which have taken her across Europe, where she has performed at high-profile festivals such as Sonar, Melt!, Pukkelpop, Montreux Jazz Festival, Dour and Primavera Sound, the latter earning her a mention as 'Best of Primavera Sound' by Pitchfork. Her ’MOSQUITO’ mixtape, released through Big Dada in 2022, broke her into US and LatAm radio waves for the first time and earned her standout mentions by Rolling Stone and NPR. More recently, she's been traversing the sonic world, further showcasing her skills with multiple collaborations ranging from Showstudio and Mugler to producing billboard-nominated songstress Emel Mathlouthi her latest album, as well as being the youngest artist ever exhibiting at London’s Serpentine Gallery. Widely hailed as one of electronic music’s most promising producers, resulting in her being tapped by other forward thinking musicians such as Mykki Blanco, Nicolas Jaar, John Frusciante and the late SOPHIE; LYZZA has been able to breathe fresh air into Indie and Electronic music alongside those peers and mocking the boundaries of genre through experimentation, always forward pushing sounds and their structures- with her feet solidated in the underground.Their RA profile lists Big Dada and Houndstooth.Recently at OHM, 8MM, Phantom Bar Berlin · often with DJ Paypal, ALECCHINA, Kloxii Li, none of them here that night
