He started spinning in the late 80s, characterized and enthused by the idea of disco: an endless soul-train taking the dancefloor crowd to brighter places. In the very early 90s he started a professional DJ-career. At that time, he met Ali Schwarz (Tiefschwarz), who was about to start a new house music club, the red dog (Stuttgart). He invited him to become a member of the red dog-team. The red dog not just became a stage for great DJs and producers, like Tony Humphries, Masters at Work, Mike Dunn, to name but a few, but as well a steppingstone for an international DJ-career of Chris Rey with gigs in the Netherlands, England, Italy, Swiss and the USA. In the late 90s he stopped his DJ-dedication. The deep relationship with house music never stopped. For some time past friends and former business partners are asking for a return „in the house“. Here he is with new sets and gigs.often with Ænni, Closing Special, Full Multi, none of them here that night

Rooted in the belief of the dancefloor as a space of infinite unique individual experiences, Qualia Trax embodies a playful genre-fluid approach to both DJing and curation. A long-time contributor to queer party scenes in Birmingham, London, Amsterdam and Berlin, Qualia Trax is founder, resident and booker for NEST, a queer, sex-positive party series and community in Berlin. This project seeks to 'queer-up' traditionally normative spaces and rituals to make them more accessible and enjoyable for marginalised groups, currently taking place at Kater Blau. They previously founded the VisionsKollektiv (fka Visionskultur), the highlight of which was the organisation and curation of the art and music programme for Kiek Beyond, a 3-day festival just outside Berlin in August 2023, and continue to support as a resident DJ and booker.Recently at Crack Bellmer, Tresor / Globus, Paloma · often with materia hache, HOPPER, ACID BOGEN, none of them here that night
