His mind is wrapped around the darker side of the music spectrum. His love for hypnotic patterns and fast grooves drove him into the depths of techno production. As a DJ with a drum and bass background you can still hear and feel the closeness to his roots. Driving techno with the little pinch of oldschool aesthetic fused together into a refreshing whole.

    the whole biography
Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz, known artistically as RUIZ OSC1, is a Colombian DJ and producer from Bogotá, celebrated for her refined vinyl technique and genre-defying sound. Her performances have graced some of the world’s most respected venues, including Bassiani, VENT Tokyo, Basement New York, Tresor, FOLD, and RSO, alongside appearances at Intercell, Vault Sessions, and showcases for Mutual Rytm and Technics, where she currently serves as an ambassador. Rooted in a lifelong passion for music, RUIZ OSC1 draws inspiration from her mother — a singer and music reseller — who introduced her to salsa, merengue, and Colombian folklore during her upbringing in the late ’80s and early ’90s. After relocating to Europe in 2010, she began blending these rhythmic traditions with contemporary electronic elements, creating her distinctive sound, which she defines as “folkloric techno.” RUIZ OSC1 made her debut on KAOS with contributions to Ritualistic Discoteca and the release of her solo EP Grooveroots. She has since collaborated with acclaimed labels such as Emerald and Molekül, further expanding her sonic identity and global presence. A rapidly rising name in the international electronic scene, RUIZ OSC1 is recognized for crafting immersive, high-intensity performances that captivate audiences and highlight her deep connection between rhythm, culture, and emotion.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
His career, spanning over 25+ years, has seen Steve grow from his early beginnings as a young promoter and resident DJ to one of the UK’s most established, accomplished and respected techno artists credited by many as a true pioneer. After earning his stripes with residencies at some of the UK’s most influential events such as Energy (Orbital raves), ID Magazine’s 1990 World Tour, The Wag Club, Solaris, The Brain, and The Zap Steve would go onto launch his own night LOST alongside Sheree Rashit. Since its induction to the present day LOST has stood as one of the UK’s most innovative and scene-defining events marking the debut performances from some of dance music’s most uncompromising and inventive creators. Aside from his huge success as a promoter Steve also produced under the name LOST between the years 1990-1992. He would then launch his own label Cosmic Records, also co-run with Rashit, and a new musical direction was found. From the first label three more imprints followed; LOST Recordings that focused solely on the sounds of LOST’s dancefloor, Clubtracks, specialising in more Chicago house-sounding productions, and ID(entity) created to release hidden aliases’ of well-established artists affiliated with the Cosmic label and LOST nights. When it comes to Steve Bicknell’s productions it’s no doubt he embodies the true essence of straight to the point, no-nonsense techno characteristics he fluidly translates into his DJ sets. Reflecting on Steve’s earliest work it is clear after stepping back from producing in the mid 2000’s he was still able to maintain the same relentless energy and curiosity yet honing and evolving it into something fresh and current upon his return in 2013. Equipped with neoteric ideas, in 2016 Steve launched his latest imprint 6dimensions. The label has played host to both his own and other influential artists productions. He describes the imprint as being “an exploration into balance and imbalance of the human mind’s natural make-up of love, fear, joy, hatred, boredom and sexuality”. Furthermore, in 2017 the techno supergroup LSD was formed alongside friends Luke Slater and David Sumner. Their debut release, “Process”, landed on Ostgut Ton which they described in their own words as ‘lysergic machine music’. Since then the trio has performed regularly with notable shows at the likes of ADE, Berghain and Dekmantel Festival to name a few. 2019 sees the trio returning with new releases and even more shows. With a compelling selection of new music coming out over the course of 2019 and his return to the road, Steve seems to be more relevant than ever before. With his second to none experience in promoting events, performing as a DJ to producing in the studio alone or with friends on top of his mission to continue to create, explore and experiment its looking like Steve Bicknell is unstoppable.
Their RA profile lists Soma Records, novamute, Ostgut Ton, Tresor and 6 more.

  • Erik Luebs

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Erik Luebs is a US-born musician and sound designer based in Japan. Eschewing typical genre tropes, Luebs approaches techno with a playfully disruptive technique, reinterpreting the fundamentals using built-from-scratch patches and labyrinthine sequencing. While the labor-intensive process is inspired by luminaries such as Mark Fell and Rrose, the resulting music is firmly tied to the dance floor. Luebs engages in minimal promotion, focusing his efforts instead on producing a series of monthly singles on Bandcamp. Through word of mouth, his unconventional approach to dance music has led to releases on labels such as The Bunker New York and performances at DJ Nobu's Future Terror party in Japan.

  • Janina

    Berlin · 7 bookings since Aug 2025

    “Janina is a Berlin mainstay.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Janina is a Berlin mainstay. She is one of those rare artists who became a household name by the power of her sheer will and talent. An intuitive house and techno DJ who’s clocked up two decades behind the decks, Berlin born and based Janina brims with as much enthusiasm today as she did when she got her start at Club Der Visionäre in 2004. That start became a residency, and it’d be the first of several notable club postings that Janina has intermixed with a stacked, city-vaulting gig schedule. In 2024 she continues her long-standing Tresor residency, and she’s set for an exhilarating new chapter with the launch of a record label, the release of her debut productions and hosting for the first time her own events in Ibiza. Berlin’s enigmatic scene of the early noughties was Janina’s entry point to clubbing. A teenager at the turn of the Millenium, formal education became background noise when she discovered Tresor, and more importantly, those infamous BeatStreet parties. At the core of these daytime sessions were Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Cassy and Magda, and they swiftly stepped in with the teachings that would feed Janina’s eventual vocation. “This time was one of the most beautiful things to happen in my life. I wouldn’t be where I am now without these parties. It was all about the music and nothing else. You completely lost your sense of time and I became addicted to this way of living - people coming together for the same purpose and creating this unique energy.” What’s immediately apparent with Janina is her deep connection to her records. Collecting vinyl since she was 15, with an illuminative, taste-broadening stretch at DNS Records accelerating her passion for it, she now sits on a stack of over 10,000. We’re long into the click-keen digital age, but Janina still favours and prioritises in store digging, spending hours flipping through records and weaving through the decades. Avid record digging has certainly benefited Janina when it comes to having ample ammo for her many residencies. From holding a spot at Club Der Visionäre for the best part of a decade, she moved to Moscow in 2013 and became part of the fabric of its thriving techno scene with a weekly slot at Monasterio, playing alongside Ben Klock, Robert Hood, Chris Liebing, DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, and Kenny Larkin, among others. “The Moscow move is easily one of the best decisions that I’ve made for personal growth and progressing as a DJ. It was the first time I’d lived away from home. It reminded me of Berlin in the early 2000s.” A move to Ibiza brought a residency at Sankeys for the Unusual Suspects crew which she’d hold down for three fulfilling seasons. Tresor was next to tap her, with Janina being billed alongside Joey Beltram, James Ruskin, The Advent and Robert Hood, as well as being offered to host her own nights on the Globus floor which had her embrace house, inviting DJs like Fumiya Tanaka, Cassy, Thomas Melchior, Troy Pierce and Sammy Dee. London then came calling, with a savvy move to the city quickly landing her a residency at E1 which she’d run alongside Tresor. E1 would be another outlet for her techno kicks, with line-ups also featuring Juan Atkins, Scuba, Ellen Allien and Function. It’s an addiction to the emotional effects of music and the togetherness within club culture that spur Janina. A gifted selector, her trajectory is and always has been ego-free, putting the music way above anything else. From within the walls of Berghain, Panorama Bar, Space Ibiza, Tresor, Club Der Visionäre, Ibiza Underground, DC10, REX, Culture Box, Hoppetosse and any other hallowed clubs that she’s played, she simply seeks to create what was seen at the parties that soundtracked her youth. In 2024, Janina enters a new phase. Willing to improve the electronic landscape, she’ll launch her Triplevisions showcase for the first season in Ibiza and hosting her own events. Busy mastering her sound, the process has involved an intensive production and live performance course at Mathew Johnson’s production school Freedom Engine Academy. The label will also be a home for new talent, with her being especially keen to throw her years of experience into nurturing emerging artists. While she plays across both genres, within any set she proficiently sticks to just one, depending on the booking. “I’ve always loved to play house and techno. When I play house, I like to stay in that flow, that feeling, the tempo…and the same applies for techno.”

  • Stella Zekri

Paris, France · 22 bookings since Aug 2025

“Soon after moving to Berlin in 2015, she came upon a passion for collecting records – starting with hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz and boogie.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Soon after moving to Berlin in 2015, she came upon a passion for collecting records – starting with hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz and boogie. At a certain point, she began to receive some invitations to play her collection out at bars, which was around the same time she began going out to dance in the city’s clubs – her wider investigation of electronic dance music soon followed. So one could say Stella’s DJ practice began with collecting, then gained dimension as a selector and dancer, and this is audible in her sound – she plays sets that stoke a warmth in the body and keep it lit, sequences of deep-dug cuts that are mixed with a tactile intuition and trust in the track that only a vinyl DJ could have. Over the years, Stella has become a signature member of Berlin’s club community, enacting an old-school ethic of the DJ as a community-driven role. Today she is well-known for her wide knowledge of classic, groove-driven house and disco, as well as deep dubs and acid, but her rise as a DJ came hand-in-hand with booking and curating. After a number of years organising parties at the DIY venue Kake Stella founded Body Language with Camilla Rae and Caitlin Russell in 2021. Gaining a committed crowd over the last years, Body Language has hosted a vibrant array of international and local DJs. Rather than needing to brand the party with markers of identity, Stella emphasises the core ethic of the party being its openness – the function encourages a range of sounds and styles (one can hear everything from clever, groovy house and techno to classic Chicago cuts to RnB-laced high-NRG in recorded sets on SoundCloud)  and so welcomes a heterogenous crowd. In this way, Body Language is part of a shift into a new line of queer parties in Berlin – “queer” precisely because diversity runs through its bookings, its sound systems, its dancefloors, and isn’t just a catchword printed on a statement.  Although Stella’s original plans to become a singer were quickly overtaken by the drive to play out her record collection, 2022 saw the release of Détends-Toi and the formation of Stella and the Longos, a band and collaborative project with DJ and musician Ed Longo. Released on Cosmic Records, the album is a sensual tribute to 80s Zouk and Boogie, with Stella’s silky, sultry vocals taking the fore. Much like her DJ-practice, the project pays loving homage to sounds of the past while spinning them into the present, never simply lapsing into nostalgia. The 6-piece band has toured extensively over the last years, which has provided a counterpoint to Stella’s increasingly international DJ gigs – some notable bookings include Nowadays, De School, Gay Haze and a stint of sets in China last year. Closer to home, she has been a resident at Cocktail D’Amore since its heyday years at Griessmühle and played at Panorama Bar for the first residency night programmed by Refuge Worldwide, where she also hosts the Breakfast Show once a month. On the airwaves, in Berlin or abroad, a DJ-set or studio recording or upcoming edition of Body Language – whatever it may be, make sure to catch the singular warmth and deeply cultivated love of music Stella brings to the table. There’s nothing quite like it.
