A true lover of breakbeats, Anna's electronic sound takes inspiration from her roots in gritty East Coast hip hop, as well as in vibrant and rhythmic Puerto Rican genres. Her longstanding connection to hip hop naturally evolved into a love for breakbeats and electro, while exposure to UK genres further broadened her musical perspective. She soon became involved in Berlin’s bass and jungle communities. While her sound carries a distinct UK influence, Anna's sets are global, often featuring productions from Iran, Japan, Egypt, Australia and beyond. Each performance is a dynamic fusion of styles, rhythms, and tempos, layered with acid and lethal bass. Anna is now part of a FLINTA soundsystem crew that has built a deep bass-focused system aimed at expanding and diversifying the Berlin rave landscape through bass-driven and break-oriented sounds. Comf exists as a reflexive omen- seeking out anything that defies complacency, stretching and warping messy sounds in unconventional manners to generate something far beyond its origin. Fixation and obsession with texture consumes their way of being and reshapes their entire relationship with sound. As a sound artist, DJ, and producer they sculpt immersive sonic landscapes. By allowing their spirit to inhabit a corporeal form by creating artefacts of time, space, and emotion. In evoking the practice of bloodletting, they ensure every drop spilled in the process rebuilds the form from the sum of its parts. The Forward Sisters joined forces in 2022 to become a Berlin based duo of Dub Music lovers. They met at an FLINTA* open decks night in a record store. The Forward Sisters consist of Anni, known as "AnyDub" and Keshia aka "Sista Kesh I-a" . Anni is a Berlin native Selectress, specialized in various Dub Music, which she started collecting in 2017. Bavarian born Keshia started collecting and playing Reggae and Dub Music in 2021. The two passionate vinyl selectresses strive for a high concentration of Dub-Music. Both playing songs broaching the issues of social disparities and creating Irie vibes they love to share with all those listening. The focus of the Forward Sisters music selection is Dub Music with feminine vocals, melodical versions or in a heavy Stepper-Style, as well as playing songs of Modern Roots. Vinyl only. Since 2023 they have been organizing events themselves, with a focus on inviting various Sound Systems or supporting female DJs. So far, they played on sessions at various Clubs in Berlin - like Void, Badehaus, Yaam etc & at many alternative youth- and culture centers. Forward Sisters loves to travel and played at sessions further away, such as in Hamburg, Munich and much more, also beyond Germany in Switzerland or Poland. Their common goals for the future are to get more familiar with the technology behind Sound Systems and to spread Dub Music in the Berlin Club Culture. Founder of Berlin based crew Femme Bass Mafia - Dangermami is a pivotal part of Berlin’s new generation of artists and crews, helping shape the rising selectors of the city's bass scene and catering to her community of femme DJs. As both a DJ and producer, she is known for her love of extensive 140-170 mixing explorations, elevating energies with her trippy sounds & rhythmic twists in every set, playfully fusing classic UK sounds to modern bass music, blending dubstep, drum and bass, or footwork. The past years have seen the bass angel go global, blessing booths across the world from Europe to Asia, freshly coming off the back of an India tour.
