Somme Farris is a DJ, Sound System Designer, and Event Curator based in Berlin. His sound is the culmination of twelve years of collecting, playing, and exploring — a journey that has shaped a style known for its textural, percussive, and raw groove. He has played a multitude of London venues, including Fold, The Cause, Corsica Studios, Electrowerkz, and International at Aeden (BLN), Renate (BLN), Fitzroy (BLN), Teatro Mars (SP), and more. Driven by a deep love of sound, Somme founded Alephalef Sound, a small Business dedicated to designing, building, and renting bespoke sound systems. It is this obsession with how music feels in a room that underpins everything he does. While living in London, he launched Phact — a sound system-centred rave born out of a desire to break free from the city's heavy-handed nightlife regulations. Rooted in the energy of the daytime, Phact offered something rare: an escape that was both euphoric and unrestrained. His latest venture, Rama Forever, brings a new chapter — a club night devoted to reviving the spirit of NYC house music and returning it to the dancefloor where it belongs. Whether behind the decks, curating spaces, or building the systems that make them sing, every thread of Somme's practice feeds into the others. Ma Sha is a New York-based producer and DJ who has been active in the scene since 2017 when she co-founded event series - now a NYC staple - Kindergarten. Since then, she established a radio show which alongside the local Kindergarten crew, holds a monthly residency on The Lot Radio, as well as a record label that has won “Best Breakthrough Label” at the 2022 DJ Mag North America Awards. Focusing on cosmic club workouts with wigged-out rhythmic structures, the label “has become an essential outpost for hard-to-define, easy-to-dance-to club music in just two short years” [DJ Mag]; presenting “twisty, rowdy and unpredictable club music rooted in techno from both sides of the Atlantic” [Resident Advisor]. Apart from running Kindergarten Records, Ma Sha is currently focusing on her solo productions to present her take on experimental high-voltage dance music with a debut release coming out soon. However, Ma Sha is not a novice within the realm of production; as she has been active as half of the band Sha Ru who have been on the radar since their debut EP on Sorry Records in 2019, followed by releases on Infinite Machine, Pressure Dome, Progressive Future, Shubzin, Inveterate and of course, Kindergarten Records. Viiaan, producer, record collector, dj and co-founder of Voragine, label and platform under which she promotes the work of artists who work both in the field of experimental electronics, and within the club sound. Although she is unwilling to pin down a specific style to define her work, she is inclined to dark ambient and techno. Her music is a complex and evocative sonic experiment. In her mix-tapes she seamlessly integrates Classic House, Experimental Techno and Drum & Bass, and Breaks. She also draws influence from ambient, industrial and arabic music. Over the last two years her works appeared on compilations like Lowmute and Desembocadura, where she touches on subjects such as migration problems finding inspiration in film, art and literature. She launched her first EP Discromía in 2017 on Maladolescenza and her second EP Shimonoseki at the beginning of January 2020 via SNU. Character unlocked: karete bu. Rooted in House groovers, UK-leaning rhythms, and a weakness for records with a bit of dusty history. Her sets are guided by hipswings that occasionally take a left turn when the room is ready for it, sharp timing, and a tendency to let things simmer until they don’t. As a former resident at Leipzig’s Institut fuer Zukunft, she fostered young talent in the DJ rehearsal room and developed a sound that isn’t afraid of spectacle when the moment calls for it.
