“She approaches art through the belief that balance can only emerge from opposition — harmony is born through dynamics.”
their own biography
the whole biography
She approaches art through the belief that balance can only emerge from opposition — harmony is born through dynamics. A dialogue between softness and force, control and surrender — a dance of tension and release. Guided by psychoacoustic intuition, she sculpts textures that blur the edge of consciousness. The low end anchors, the highs cut, the mids breathe. Rolling drums create a constant motion — a rhythmic ground that nourishes the magnetic midrange elements shaping the narrative. What connects it all is the pursuit of perpetual balance: a continuous loop between pressure and relief, clarity and blur, chaos and control — a living tension that never fully resolves, yet keeps the body in motion and the mind awake.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, KREUZWERK, Tresor / Globus · often with Lobster, Maris Shilton, Disguised, none of them here that night
“Pooja B's idea of techno is a skittish exploration of time and space in this Dystopian world.”

Pooja B's idea of techno is a skittish exploration of time and space in this Dystopian world. While futuristic, loopy, industrial sounds for dark clubs are the signature style, she can skilfully adapt to play music for outdoor spaces. Pooja is an Indian artist who is now based in Berlin. Notable shows she played are Berghain (Saule),Tresor, RSO, Ohm, Khidi, Womb, Magnetic Fields festival, Gegen, Mina Suspension, Bronx Sauna, Le Guess Who Festival among others. With performances at renowned clubs, festivals and for many queer collectives, Pooja is not just growing a following but building a community who supports her where ever she goes. She hosts Majja, an inclusive event bringing her passion for food, art and music in one place. She also hosts a radio show on mental health in music spaces called The Coping* Club and is a resident on Refuge Worldwide Radio. She has also hosted New Faces at Tresor spotlighting artists from the global south as she believes BIPOC artists are still an under represented minority in electronic music. She co-founded The EQ Way collective in India and curated 'The EQ Way' radio show on Flux Music (Berlin), which provided a platform for female-identifying & queer artists to showcase their music to a wider audience. She hosted a bi-weekly radio show called "ikigai" on India’s primary community radio, Boxout.fm which is a journey diving into realms of dark industrial techno. She has been a resident at Analog Room a weekly underground party with a cult following in Dubai, where she was based because of her flight-attendant job. She also held residencies at Warped & Electric Days prior to that, also in Dubai. Previously, Pooja released her music under the alias “ikigai”. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "the reason for being". She has had releases on Sonata Music, Underdub Records, Fabrik Music, SMR Underground, Fehlr Musik, 22.2, BLVSH and has had 3 Bandcamp self-releases. She also takes a firm stand against racism, sexism & environmental issues, which she expresses via her music.Their RA profile lists Sonata Music, Underdub Records, Fehler-Musik, female pressure and 1 more.Recently at Tresor / Globus, Orangerie Neukölln, OHM · often with Gioski, GLOBUS, TRESOR, none of them here that night
