AgainstMe is a greek Berlin-based DJ, Producer and core member of USM Reccordings. The project “AgainstMe” came to life two years later after his first Rave / Techno parties in Lesvos, Greece. For him at that point, techno music was something completely new, uniting and revolutionary which was going against everything that he had experienced before. The distorted textures and the heavy drum patterns along with the ritualistic vibe of these parties made him immediately fall in love with everything around this sound and what it stands for. Since then, his music got released on different record labels around the world like Key Vinyl, Tar Hallow, Token Records, HAYES to name a few. He already enjoyed support from artists like Ben Klock, Dax J, DVS1, Rodhad, K-Hand, Mikael Delta, Richie Hawtin, Kanding Ray and many more. For him, the absolute goal of a DJ is to connect with the crowd and build a unique moment together. So his sound could be characterized as multidimensional, energetic and storytelling. He holds a residency at SMUT Athens and Closer Milano and some of the venues he performed at are Fuse Brussels, Saule, Tresor Berlin, RSO, FOLD to name a few. Unhuman is the Berlin-based electronic and experimental project of Manos Simotas. Started in 2012 in Athens with his first release "Emperor Black"on tape, Unhuman evolved through different genres ultimately finding his own unique voice in experimental and dark electronics. Keeping his root in post-punk, Unhuman released on labels such as Instruments Of Discipline, Veleno Viola, BITE, Amok Tapes and Strange Therapy. A regular mainstay of major clubs in Berlin, Unhuman has performed all around Europe, Asia and South America and holds the artist in residency at Constant Value in Seoul, South Korea. Unhuman is also the founder of Liber Null Berlin, which has played a critical role of unifying the freedom of arts in a conceptual event in the scene and also operates as a record label. From deep pools of ambience to the brain-feeding mechanisms of electro and techno, Nadia Struiwigh’s gift is in expressing herself with conviction through her machines. As an accomplished live artist and producer, her affinity for synthesis and sequencing results in a spellbinding strain of electronica drawn from a richly personal sonic space she has marked out for herself. Struiwigh’s recorded output has appeared on labels like Central Processing Unit, Nous’klaer Audio and Dekmantel - albums and EPs which reach from crunchy sequenced beats to vast swathes of pure, melodic tones. Her roots in Rotterdam and current location in Berlin equally speak to her affinity for techno - propulsive, dynamic machinations which manifest in DJ sets as well as live hardware performances. As a teenager enthralled with the Warp school of electronica and leftfield downtempo, Struiwigh was set on a path of discovery where the intricacy of production met with her impassioned, intuitive approach to composition. Her exacting approach to the technical aspects of the craft has earned her the knowledge to extract her own voice from any medium, but more importantly her music emerges from a very human need to communicate and connect. That connection is best manifested outside the studio. Struiwigh’s live sets range from patient, beatless immersions to kinetic peak-time rushes, sometimes straddling the divide in line with her omnivorous passion for ambient and techno alike. At times she’ll present her released works in a more patient, listening setting, while for the sensory overload of the dancefloor she tends towards a more improvised, open-ended approach to techno and electro. The exact make up of her live rig changes from gig to gig, keeping her inspired and ensuring no two performances are the same. High-profile shows in concert halls sit alongside strobe lit club sessions - she’s since become a resident DJ for Tresor to indulge her love of driving, psychedelically-charged techno, while warm-up sets give her the chance to indulge the deeper dimensions of the music she loves. The range of her tastes can be heard across leading platforms such as RA, Phantasy, Bleep and Red Light Radio, who have all invited her to their esteemed mix series’. It resulted in a first release in 2014 on the dutch imprint MORD that got him a lot of attention and paved the way for many collaborations between the two. A couple more EPs and his first album "Life" showed his love for a diverse sound palette but a constant attention for the groove. That naturally led to the creation of "Body Theory" in 2016, his own space to experiment and push his vision further. « Industrial funk » as a motto, it explores a more textured music with UVB’s trademark groove and style. On the DJing front, touring worldwide helps him develop his own approach to mixing, often melting different musical universes together juggling between 3 or 4 tracks at once, drawing a parallel between his DJ and producer mind. Wanting to expand his skills as a musician and a performer, he also starts performing brand new material live with hardware all around the world.
