Growing up amidst Sicilian sound systems and the Italian noise/free party scene, and starting to spin her records during hip-hop open mics in Rome, her sound traces a path between light and shadow, where each style intersects with irregular flows to create a harmonious yet asymmetrical narrative rooted in noise and playing on a different terrain Fukstep, her creature, is a project and label drawing its roots from mutoid and crossover sounds, which arise from the hybridisation of sound system culture. She released “Distortion Detectives”, the first EP made with Broken Audio, on Fukstep and “Quello che non saremo mai” REMIX for PIOVE. on Woodworm / Universal Music Italy. She has brought her sound in reality as Berghain, OHM (Berlin), Le Sucre (Lyon), Le Sample (Paris) Link (Bologna), CTM, Unsound afterparty (KRK), Robot Festival during Elena Colombi’s Osàre Showcase (Bologna) Romaeuropa, Spring Attitude (Rome), Mickey Zoggs (Bristol). She has played B2B with Piezo, DJ Paypal and involved in Small But Hard, SFX, Osàre Edition Showcases. She also performs “Innesta”, her Mediterranean radical sound research and experimentation, in “Palace of Popular Arts and Traditions” of the Roman Museum Of Civilization and in a 1582 Sant'Apollonia basilica, in Rome. His sound is the anchorage of middle eastern rhythms, african percussion, pre-columbian instruments and latin american shades. All these elements are articulated forming an experimental ecosystem where a nocturnal, robotic and mechanical faunas coexist. This March 2020 he is releasing a full album by Infinite Machine after a great international success with his last EP ‘Luz Mala’. He usually performs unique live-sets mixing several elements of his tracks with spicy and bittersweet dancefloor ingredients. While at the same time being very active as a club DJ, mixing tribal, african beats, latinamerican rhythms, experimental club, strong dramatic atmospheres and fast hard drum beats. Bungalovv is also a founder of Trrueno (AR), a collective and label which was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina by ten projects united by the common practice of using new technologies as a resource and means to expand the spectrum of aesthetic possibilities in the electronic and experimental music, performance and audiovisual scene. He also worked with Monkeytown Records releasing a track with Catnapp which is in her vinyl ‘FEAR’ (2018). You can watch the videoclip by clicking here. After a succesful liveset at Mutek he did his first European tour playing in more than 5 countries during 2018. xPOLLYx is an artist who has always sought to incorporate a sense of exclusion and differentiation from the imposed society into his music. The essence of his concept and style lies in the lack of representation in what the world offers today. His goal is to create a shared sense of belonging through extreme sounds that reflect his vision and identity in defiance of an imposed system: distortion, spontaneity, and rejection of institutions. A sense of disapproval and irreverence has been an integral part of his artistic formation from the very beginning, which he expresses through fast, distorted, and frenetic music As his artistic identity solidified, for better or worse, xPOLLYx made it clear that there are no half-measures in what he does.
