Meggy, the accomplished German DJ, vocalist and song writer, is born and raised in the Mecca of Techno and House music, Berlin. She started getting into the groove of Techno and House beats from her first encounter with one of the most well-respected clubs in Berlin, the old Tresor. This is when her interests for House and Techno grew immediately; shortly after, Meggy started her music career. This young talent has a creative way of rebelling through the world of House music to showcase her own unique style. So, it is always impressive to see her ability to blend the current style of music that she loves mixed with her individual style which create a universe of sounds no one wants to escape. In 2012, a well-known artist such as Rampa started to take notice of Meggy’s many talents. Focusing specifically on her singing skills, he instantly took the opportunity to put her well-trained sound varieties into good use; which inevitably was responsible for the success of their track “Everything” which was recognized internationally. Shortly after, Meggy’s schedule filled up quicker than she expected. People soon realized to collaborate with her and feature her voice on various projects, which resulted in her music career taking off to a whole new level of success. One year later, Meggy worked on her very first EP, “Hide 4 Love”, with SUOL Records’ prominent duo, Chopstick & Johnjon; she has since been part of the SUOL family. Her next release was called “We, Meggy” where she collaborated with four of her favourite artists and producers at the time. Lastly, her latest release, “Two Thirteen”, was named with respect to her age, 26, at the time of the release. With Meggy stepping into the adulthood stage of her life, she decided to take a risk to challenge her song writing abilities which led to the track called “Liebe” with its provocative lyrics creating some discussions amongst the listeners. In the meantime, Meggy’s recent work consists of her successful collaboration with her talented friend Till Von Sein for the ‘Haza EP’; as well as, her collaborated track and video with Tigerskin called ‘Bygone Eras’ which was visualized with a one shot video. Although she has been involved in the music world for quite some years, this young and creative artist has a lot more to give, so get yourselves prepared as this is just the beginning of the road for Meggy. Deutsch: Für seine Musik lässt sich der Berliner DJ und Produzent Chris Hanke von den alltäglichen Dingen des Lebens inspirieren. So verhilft ihm ein schickes Essen mit gutem Wein genauso zu neuen Ideen, wie eingefangene Momente aus den Clubs und Partys dieser Welt. Meistens schleicht sich dann dabei ein Sound in seinen Kopf, den er vor seinem inneren Ohr zerpflückt, hin und her schiebt und so die feinsten Klänge für Ihn entstehen. Heraus kommt dabei ein ganz eigener Style, der sich irgendwo zwischen groovigem House und Techno ansiedelt, jedoch auch Ambient, Jazz und Klassik Einhalt gebietet. Beim Basteln seiner eigenen Sounds lässt er auch sich bereitwillig am meisten von der Zeit beeinflussen. Indem er fürs Produzieren Wochen und für seine Sets Stunden aufbringt, erweist er der Musik die nötige Ehre. So sehr Chris Hanke das besagte schicke Essen liebt, so sehr hast er die Langeweile. Sie gar nicht erst aufkommen zu lassen, ist damit sein wesentlicher Lebenssinn. Seinen ganz eigenen Styles, hat er bereits einem nationalen und internationalen Publikum als DJ dargeboten. Seine produzierten Stücke sind auf dem mittlerweile renommiertem Ritter Butzke Studio Label und auch auf Aromamusic veröffentlicht. He absorbs the tones, pushes them back and forth and creates finest sounds. This process results in his unique style that can be classified somewhere between groovy house music and techno but nevertheless contains traces of Ambient, Jazz and Classic. Time is an important factor when Chris is creating his unique sounds. Spending weeks on producing his sounds and hours for his sets, he bestows honor to his music. Although born in former Czechoslovakia in the mid 80s, Slurm grew up in the south of Germany. Through an early classical music education he discovered a deep passion for all kinds of music such as Hip Hop, Rock, Pop and Psytrance. As an active member of the psytrance scene he faced many problems organizing parties in the region and therefore fled to berlin at the age of 18 in search of like-minded spirits. But the psytrance scene had nothing exciting to offer anymore and so he found his way into techno and house music. By supporting his friends who dj and organize events, he fell into the spiral of djing and finally bought his own decks. Since 2009 Slurm has been expressing his love for dance music in almost all clubs in berlin and became an important member of the berlin-based "Tanzmichmal" crew and also a resident at the "Golden Gate".
