Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz, known artistically as RUIZ OSC1, is a Colombian DJ and producer from Bogotá, celebrated for her refined vinyl technique and genre-defying sound. Her performances have graced some of the world’s most respected venues, including Bassiani, VENT Tokyo, Basement New York, Tresor, FOLD, and RSO, alongside appearances at Intercell, Vault Sessions, and showcases for Mutual Rytm and Technics, where she currently serves as an ambassador. Rooted in a lifelong passion for music, RUIZ OSC1 draws inspiration from her mother — a singer and music reseller — who introduced her to salsa, merengue, and Colombian folklore during her upbringing in the late ’80s and early ’90s. After relocating to Europe in 2010, she began blending these rhythmic traditions with contemporary electronic elements, creating her distinctive sound, which she defines as “folkloric techno.” RUIZ OSC1 made her debut on KAOS with contributions to Ritualistic Discoteca and the release of her solo EP Grooveroots. She has since collaborated with acclaimed labels such as Emerald and Molekül, further expanding her sonic identity and global presence. Hailing from Haarlem, HUJUS delivers energetic and groove-driven techno with a modern interpretation. His artist name derives from the Latin phrase Hujus Pace — “prevailing calm” or “inner peace” — reflecting the immersive mental state he aims to achieve through his music and performances. With a musical foundation rooted in piano from an early age, HUJUS developed a broad understanding of rhythm, melody, and composition before transitioning into electronic music production and DJing during his teenage years. After years of experience performing in clubs and refining his sound, the HUJUS project officially emerged in 2022. Since then, HUJUS has steadily built a name within the Dutch techno scene through performances at renowned venues and events including Dockyard Festival, RADION, Levenslang and Melkweg, while continuing to expand his presence internationally. His productions have received support from artists such as Alarico, Adam Beyer and future.666, gaining traction across clubs and festivals worldwide.
