Meriem S is a Berlin-based DJ, resident at Refuge Worldwide and saHHara, and co-founder of CALABADDIES. Born in Tunisia and raised in Italy, she learned early that a room can hold more than one language at once, and that music is often what translates between them. That understanding is what she brings to the decks. A digger first, she is drawn to records that reveal unexpected connections between sounds, places, and eras. Every set she plays becomes a story built from those connections. She builds slowly and turns sharply. She holds a groove until the room leans in, then takes it somewhere less expected. Whether in a small listening room or at peak time, she is chasing the same thing: a dancefloor that feels good in the body and keeps people engaged. ⟫ saHHar ⵣ سَهّار is a DJ and co-founder of the Berlin-based collective saHHara, and a resident of the event series Haram Night. ⟫ Born and raised in Tunis and now based in Berlin, he explores the musical electronic landscapes by blending North African rhythms such as mezoued, raï, chaabi, stambeli, and Arabic music with electronic sounds such as bouncy & groovy techno and house. His sets often include live elements like drums and vocals. With strong ties to the underground scenes, saHHar started out playing in illegal raves and organizing events to fill gaps he felt in the Berlin scene to give space to underrepresentated artists and sounds. Today his focus is on community events, club performances and fundraisers for various causes. ⟫ Inspired by artists like Ammar 808, Acid Arab, Saliah, and Sina XX, saHHar continues to explore how traditional sounds can find new life within modern club music.
