I’ve been rata tat tatting since I was a kid. From bucket drumming in the streets, to competitive drum corps, to performing as a musician in Disneyland, I’ve always pushed the limits of my percussive abilities. As a young adult these drum skills slammed head first into a passion for electronic music. From dancing at underground raves to audio engineering in high-end studios, to producing entire albums and sample packs, I’ve always curated the most modern and tantalizing compositions possible. Now, my drumming and sound design work as one. I don’t just mix tracks—I sculpt them live, forging soundscapes that breathe, mutate, and explode with raw energy. Every razor-sharp rhythm is carved into existence in real time with a tooth-rattling boom. With every flick of my fingers, new laws of sound are written. The dance floor will be packed and sweaty, the lights will be spinning quickly, but the powerful human experience of dancing to a real drummer will keep you grounded in time and space as my modern sonic textures hurl you into the future. Sammy B originally from New Zealand has had a long involvement in the Berlin bass music scene. In the early days she started out attending events as a ‘die-hard’ raver and a music photographer. Her love for bass heavy music meant it wasn’t long before she bought a pair of Technics and an old Serato box to learn DJ-ing herself. She moved to Berlin in 2013 and in the following years discovered and grew connections within the local scene, specifically in Dubstep and DnB circles. In terms of style, Sammy B is drawn to most things ‘dark’ be that building and rolling basslines, eerie ambience or metal-like aggression. She enjoys creating a vibe of ‘atmospheric anticipation’, by cultivating deep and long blends with little intention for the use of effects. From starting out exclusively in 140 dubstep sound, it was around 2018 when she moved into mixing up more and more DnB, specialising in 170 half-time - a genre she feels most at home in. It's ever-evolving, pushing genre-defined boundaries and has such diverse elements that always inspire new vibes and direction in her mixes. Sammy B is striving to always challenge the idea of what is ‘expected’ within bass genres, she aims to keep mixes rolling based on its vibe not only genre or tempo alone. Sammy B’s involvement in the scene has led to multiple bookings within the EU - notably Membrain Festival, Fusion, 3000GRAD and Subardo Festival. Along with German based crews such as WobWob, Impulse, Bassism, Break It Down, Eat The Bass and Gretchen Club’s Recycle - Berlin’s finest DnB. In 2018 she realised a calling to the ‘promoter life’ and launched her own event series called deviate to provide an alternative perspective for bass music parties, mixing up line-ups and genres with the goal to "depart from usual or accepted standards". The motivation for the event came from wanting to support the less-known, the up and coming DJs/Producers and also give space to FLINTA artists to encourage their participation in the non-mainstream DnB and bass music scene. Engulfing himself in the underground music scene since the early 90's, Tommy Lexxus is no slouch when it comes to production and performance. From the heyday of Math Rock, Post Metal and Reggae, to the prologues of Drum & Bass, Dubstep & Grime. Before becoming a Junglist, Tommy played drums and bass guitar in several well known bands. He opened for Green Day when he was only 15, and was a founding member of Math Rock legends Upsilon Acrux. The Sub FM host has always kept his record crates very diverse and full of bass weight. Tommy's mixing skills are innovatively amusing while sophisticatedly cerebral. His sets are consistently entertaining, no matter the style or setting. Tommy Lexxus founded Bassism in 2005 as a warehouse rave in San Francisco. Jamie is a Mc legend coming from the capitol city of germany , Berlin. He was the first generation of Junglists in this country, doing it since the early 90's, when he started to write lyrics he was only 15. On the mic for almost any big name in the Jungle/D&B scene (name one ..) he was booked all over europe, asia and the usa. In 2000 he was booked as the first Jungle/D&B artist to the UK. He performed in London, Bristol and Oxford and this wasn't the last time he stood on stage in the motherland of the genre. Up to now he's still one of the most mentioned Mc's and it seems like he's not willing to quit yet!
