Makadsi continues to impress. This Brooklyn-based DJ/Producer, hailing from Zahle Lebanon, owns the underground scene with his signature sound merging Arabic influences over cross-genre sets. He is a resident and co-founder of FUNCTION, a space where he has cultivated a dance floor that honors the natural, vibrant diversity of New York City. NY’s BASEMENT dubbed Makadsi as the “rave activator”. 2025 saw Makadsi deepen his footprint across Europe. He returned to Glastonbury for a second year, this time on the IICON stage, and debuted at Horst Arts & Music Festival in Belgium. Summer took him from Honey Dijon's Chinois in Ibiza to Geggen x Pornceptual for Berlin Pride, Body Movements in London, the main stage at Madrid's MADO Pride, and Adonis for London Pride. French-German network ARTE profiled him for their Tracks series, spotlighting how he threads Arabic divas through techno beats. Back stateside, he played in the iconic Texas room for the 4th Annual Wire Festival in Brooklyn, NY further cementing his role in the heart of the city's underground. 2024 was no less impressive, with Makadsi’s debuts in Ibiza at Palmarama, Glastonbury Festival's iconic NY Downlow stage, Berlin's Pornceptual, Honey Dijon’s House Nation in Brooklyn, and NITSA's 30th birthday in Barcelona. 2023 was nothing short of monumental for Makadsi, taking FUNCTION on the road alongside Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. As the Creative Director and architect for the Renaissance album and Renaissance World Tour, he booked opening DJ acts featuring familiar darlings of the Queer Underground scene (Arca, Shygirl, and more). He ended the tour with his own opening set for Beyoncé's last show in Kansas City. Born in Diadema, greater São Paulo, it was in Londrina where Roniere Santos actually began his DJ career in 2010. From his experience in the neighborhood came the influence of Brazilian rhythms and syncopated elements. RHR, now based in São Paulo, takes a careful look at his ideas in electronic music. Hence the invitation for a monthly residency on French radio Rinse FM with the program “Som Sistema”. Defined by himself: percussive soundscapes form the combination that is gaining more and more space in the music scene in Brazil and around the world. Always seeking to understand the stimuli of São Paulo, the artist continues to expose research in multiple genres such as techno, bass, dancehall, electro, baile funk. He has participated in line ups such as Mamba Negra, Tantsa, Dekmantel Festival SP, ODD, Gop Tun Festival and DGTL SP. One of the highlights of RHR's career was his debut at Boiler Room São Paulo in August 2022. With five solo EPs released and one in partnership with North American Danny Daze, Roniere is preparing for a new release where he intends to share his artistic talents even more. In addition to partnerships with labels such as Omnidisc, Pac Recs and Nice and Deadly, RHR is an integral part of the NY-based label TIJOLO Records. Recognized for the precision of transitions and the creativity behind the choices made, RHR illustrates like few others the discomfort with the obvious. The ability to reinvent yourself in the midst of a wave of creative burnout makes RHR a potentially liberating force. All this without losing the artist’s characteristics, references and ideas. The Bay area native is an electronic music pariah who enjoys disintegrating and destroying dance music tropes through bizarre and wonderful sound potions. Frequent collaborator of Dark Entries records, he released his debut LP “Shaytoon” through their imprint in 2020. His DJ sets can range from off-kilter house and psychedelic techno, to haute electro, aphrodisiac acid and freaky jakbeat music. In late 2017 he began performing live PA sets, sonically ranging from potent drum cocktails to psychedelic and oxygenated soundscapes.
