Marcel Fengler: A Visionary of Modern Techno Marcel Fengler has been quoted as “one of the finest techno DJs” (Resident Advisor), earning international recognition for his “well-crafted body of production work” (FACT) and the unique, “multi-faceted personality” (Electronic Beats) he brings to his craft. For almost three decades, Fengler has developed a versatile and dynamic DJing style, making him one of the first resident DJs at Berlin’s legendary Berghain / Panorama Bar in 2005. Known for his ability to shift pace, atmosphere, and energy in response to the dance floor, he seamlessly moves between industrial-drenched hardness, broken beats, gloomy dubs, and melodic grooves. His early releases on Ostgut Ton and Mote Evolver paved the way for his debut album, Fokus (2013), a statement of intent filled with emotional depth and unexpected contrasts.These influences manifest themselves in further own projects, which he combined in 2018 under his other artist profile AZUR. In 2011, Fengler launched his imprint, Index Marcel Fengler (IMF), a label dedicated to his timeless techno vision while serving as a platform for emerging talent. This philosophy took on new dimensions in 2024 with the launch of ‚KISHIKAN’, an event series combining elements of his ‘IMF label showcases’, ‘Marcel Fengler Invites’ events and the newly established HARDPROOF VA project. With KISHIKAN, Fengler contiznues to push boundaries, creating a fresh space for artistic innovation and musical exploration. As a DJ and producer, Marcel Fengler stands for imposing surprises and the appeal of variety. For him, techno is both unconditional passion as well as an essential part of his identity. Viscerale is a Berlin-based artist known for her genre-fluid, high-energy sets that blend the dark atmospheres of techno, trance and at times hardcore with emotional depth and raw intensity. Her performances are driven by a strong sense of storytelling, moving between hypnotic builds, cathartic peaks, and unexpected turns. Her relationship with music began in childhood, where sound became her main form of connection and expression. From curating mixtapes to stepping behind the decks in 2015, her journey has been shaped by diverse influences, including Hamburg’s experimental scene and her classical piano background. Over the years, Viscerale has become a steady presence in the global electronic scene, playing internationally and at Berlin institutions such as Berghain, Tresor, OHM, and RSO. Her sound has reached cities like London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen, as well as audiences in the US and Canada. Alongside her main project, she has been playing fully hardcore-focused sets for several years.
