Drawing his sound from both sides of the Atlantic, he combines Drexcyian electro, old school jungle, and UK grime with vertical singularity. The Canadian-born, Berlin-based artist broke out with a trio of records for UNO NYC in 2012, and has since released records through his own culinary-rave imprint, Hanger Management, while also releasing as one half of AQXDM on Bedouin Records and Houndstooth. 2020 saw his LP debut, The Snake That Eats Itself, released via Bedouin Records, expanding on his stylistic hallmarks to include industrial-flecked IDM, drone, and pop through a cinematic lens, while collaborating with pioneering artist and researcher Sougwen Chung on a spectacular live A/V show. Showcased at festivals around the world, such as Nuits Sonores, Mutek, and CTM to name a few – it also hints at some of his other work in scoring and soundtracks. 2022 has been marked by two critically-acclaimed EPs for Dekmantel Records’ UFO imprint. Originally written as inflection points for his typically boisterous and genre-collapsing dj sets, they gleefully contort DnB tearouts, wrong-footed IDM and progressive trance euphoria into thrilling new shapes. Whatever the touchstone, the results are clear: distinctly modern, highly-propulsive body music with an unapologetically emotive core. Verraco is also one of the heads behind the groundbreaking TraTraTrax, label that has become a key platform for Latinx sound explorers in recent years. With the future classic Escándaloo EP on VOAM out in Summer 2023, RA and Crack Magazine lauded the record as one of the best of the year. In 2024, the Colombian artist's debut on Bristol's stalwart Timedance with 'Breathe... Godspeed' was unanimously acclaimed by the press, with the EP being awarded Pitchfork Best New Music, described by renowned journalist Philip Sherburne as "an essential record for the vanguard of dance music". In 2025, he signed with the legendary UK label XL Recordings for a three-tracker EP. His two EPs, 2015’s Aequs Nyama (Salviatek) and 2018’s Testigo (NAAFI), garnered support from Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, FACT Magazine , Björk, Kode 9 and more. Since then, Zafiro has collaborated with Matmos and Linn da Quebrada, and has remixed for artists on SVBKVLT and TraTraTrax. He has extensively explored in the area of field recording and sound design, working for Splice, Mubert and artist Catarina Miranda to create sample packs and soundtracks based on his own recordings of objects, animals and natural soundscapes. Zafiro is a skillful DJ with a playful disregard for genre consistency. He’s made mixes for platforms like NTS, Mutek, i-D and Noisey, has toured as a DJ throughout Asia, Europe, South and North America and has played in festivals like Sonar, Unsound, Primavera Sound. Lechuga is currently hosting a radio show in NTS 1 focused on Latin American dance music and field recording experiments. Kaifeng-born, now London-based Yu Su is a musician, DJ, sound artist and occasional chef. As one of the most prominent Chinese artists with a highly unique voice working across the globe in the last 5 years, her output covers all the ground you’d expect and more. Her multiple critically acclaimed records on UK’s Technicolor (Ninja Tune), Netherlands’s Music from Memory and China’s own Bie Records has seen her nominated for Canada’s Polaris Prize.
