Aroop's sets are full of personality, style and infectious groove, earning him a growing reputation as a uniquely gifted DJ. In the last few years, he has been enjoying huge momentum, causing wild scenes at places like Fabric, Koko and Hi Ibiza and lighting up festivals including Defected Croatia, Lost Village, Worldwide and We Out Here. He is a resident for Defected Broadcasting House and has recorded guest mixes for the likes of BBC, NTS, Rinse and Jazz FM. Showcasing his skills as digger and tastemaker, Aroop's label Vive La Musique reissues and reworks rare eclectic sounds from around the world, from Caribbean Zouk and Congolese Rumba to French jazz-fusion and South African soul. Barbara Boeing é DJ e pesquisadora musical há mais de uma década. Desde sempre apaixonada por música, com 23 anos juntou-se a quatro amigos para formar uma banda, que posteriormente se transformou no coletivo Alter Disco. As festas de graça entre amigos cresceram e se tornaram sinônimo de liberdade de expressão, mudança de paradigmas sociais e som de qualidade em Curitiba, indo contra os rótulos sérios muito comuns na cena local. Nesse ebuliente cenário, Barbara sempre se destacou formando pistas memoráveis nas suas festas, o que resultou em novos horizontes e apresentações para a DJ. Hoje, pode se orgulhar de ter feito muita gente dançar em grandes celebrações como o Festival Subtropikal, na pista de clubes como Vibe ou no seu projeto paralelo Discoteca ODARA, onde a artista interage ao lado de Dani Souto (Glocal). Whether behind her laptop, the dj booth or the kitchen stoves, Emilia mixes her passion to create memorable experiences with a clear goal: making a difference through taste. Born and raised in Sicily and now based in Berlin, she carries the sea and the sun in everything she makes and defines herself not with one particular genre, rather with a broad style that translates into flawless mixes of pure rhythmic energy. A music lover first and foremost, you can find Emilia having a blast while dropping house, disco and techno beats in a club, or meticulously crafting an experimental radio set or soundscape. Spending years honing her craft and playing renowned stages in her home of Sicily and her newfound home of Berlin, Emilia is convinced making music is political. With a personal motto of “we are what we listen to,” she deliberately blurs the lines between her experience as a queer artist and the art that she puts out. That is why she founded the Sicily-based collective, Fluidae. Having crafted his own signature of sophisticated underground music, Laurence Guy has amassed a collection of loyal listeners and tastemakers, all of whom are united in an appreciation for his outstanding production abilities and talents as a DJ. Emerging, like many young UK artists, from the grassroots of genres such as D’n’B and Dubstep, he has always been keen to explore his own personal artistic vision. Delving into different musical routes and testing new sonic directions has kept Laurence at the forefront of a scene where trends can change quickly and leave others behind. The first, complete culmination of his artistry came in the form of his critically acclaimed debut album on Church Records in 2017. “Saw You For The First Time” followed a string of admired EPs and projected his name to new heights. The release was lauded by many beloved selectors and figure heads, most notably by esteemed producer and DJ, Move D, whose enduring support of Laurence’s releases provides an assured stamp of approval. Never one to stand still, Laurence followed this success with an EP on renowned Japanese label Mule Musiq “All I See Is Her” and most recently a standout debut mini-album for Sweden’s finest Studio Barnhus, and string of EPs for Shall Not Fade which was every part the mature and seasoned follow up all had been hoping for. A restless digger, Laurence can be found rummaging through the dusty crates of his local charity shops looking for samples to expand his sound palate, some of which have made their way onto his edits label Accidental Pieces. With such an active pursuit of music both old and new, Laurence has established himself as a selector, playing globally at some of the best venues and festivals around, as well as holding down a residency on London’s storied Rinse FM station. Guy is also developing himself as a live artist, both solo and as part of the Circle Of Live family, and has already been selected alongside some of the most notorious live acts in the world. Laurence’s willingness to probe new styles and inspect unfamiliar spaces is part of what has led to him becoming one of the UK’s finest exports. Stump Valley’s natural race begins in the hills of Turin, the Italian MotorCity by the alps. The duo produced their first wave of music sampling a large collection of records inherited from Dj Peppe Afro an unsung hero of the Italian Cosmic Era to whom they dedicated their mini LP “Magica Movida” on Rush Hour (No Label). They are compulsive crate diggers of italo disco and Italian afro-cosmic records. In 2014 Stump Valley opens their Magica Movida Studio in Berlin. Featured in the Italo House Documentary by Diadora, their conception evolves from a dusty warm old school sound transitioning into modern aesthetics. Similar is the approach to the dj set, accurately digging into rare grooves to create a singular mix of genres. Active on the scene for the last 10 years with gigs at Panorama Bar, Concrete, Rex, Corsica Studios, Le Bain NY, Boiler Room, they are regulars at Dekmantel festivals (Lente Kabinet, Dekmantel Selectors) and released their first LP “Natural Race” on the dutch label in 2019. Year 2021 brings the duo to the big apple with Soul Clap Records on which they release Melodj Mecca, a tribute to one of the most significant clubs of the Italian Afro movement opened in Rimini in 1981 and Venaria their last single track extracted from Italo Funk Compilation Vol. 2. Stump Valley is featured also on Permanent Vacation 8 Compilation and 2024 sees them working with Toy Tonics on their Every time EP, a Remix for Coeo, their single “Non dire di no” for the Italomania Compilation Vol2 and their collaboration with Barbara Boeing on her last EP.Their RA profile lists Off Minor.Recently at ÆDEN, Festsaal Kreuzberg, Studio1111 · often with Kapote, A.tari, Cleeeo, none of them here that night
