Phase Fatale’s BITE Records label nights embody a symbiosis of post-punk aesthetics, industrial influences and uncompromising club functionality. The project Rrose, named after Marcel Duchamp’s feminine alter ego, has always defied classic techno formulas. Seth Horvitz works with psychoacoustic phenomena, microtonal beats and subtle frequency shifts with a live approach based on the careful morphing of dense synthesizer textures and a physically palpable sub-bass architecture. The night will also feature Tbilisi-based KHIDI Club co-founder 00rt, known for her visceral and raw DJ sets that explore 80's New-Wave Punk to industrial techno. Chilean DJ Dominga captivates with an eclectic, fast-paced selection that blends hypnotic loops with percussive Latin American rhythms and influences from the U.S. rave scene. And as a special highlight, Oscar Mulero will present an EBM set at the Panorama Bar.

Immersed in club culture from a young age, he developed a deep connection to the raw energy of techno, particularly drawing inspiration from scenes emerging in the UK and Spain. In 2012, he relocated to Berlin, and one year later founded his own label, Falling Ethics Records. What began as a platform for his own productions has since evolved into a respected outlet showcasing a diverse range of artists, contributing meaningfully to the global techno landscape. The label is also recognised for its distinctive visual identity and commitment to authenticity, establishing itself as a reference point within the independent scene. As a performer, P.E.A.R.L. brings a considered and intentional approach to the DJ booth. Less focused on spectacle, his sets are deeply personal, shaped by a careful balance of tension and release and an eclectic sense of flow. This unpretentious yet deliberate artistry has earned him quiet respect within the international techno community — not as someone chasing trends, but as an artist with a deep understanding of our culture.Their RA profile lists PoleGroup Recordings, Warm Up, Mord, Falling Ethics and 6 more.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Else · often with ROBUS, SUMME, Laure Croft, none of them here that night

Emerging as Phase Fatale in 2014, Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner, Hayden Payne is rewriting the discourse of Techno with his cross-pollination of gnarly basslines, sensual narratives and mind-control mechanics. Demonstrating his vision through an authentic, highly curated sonic-lens of techno, the New York native’s rhythmic excursions draw on his roots in the underground scenes of his respective cities as well as his reputable experience performing to dancefloors globally. Exemplified by long-standing tenures as a resident for esteemed institutions such as Berlin’s Berghain, KHIDI in Georgia's capital Tbilisi, and queer New York collective Merge, Payne demonstrates a resolute understanding of harnessing club synergy across his productions and DJ sets. With three full length albums under his belt, including the 2020 sophomore release ‘Scanning Backwards’ on Berghain’s imprint Ostgut Ton, Payne’s sonic signature pushes the boundaries of techno sensibilities and reflects the zeitgeist whilst staying true to his own vision. Wasting no time since his solo project’s inception to showcase his expert sonic ability, Payne has toured throughout Europe performing at renowned clubs and festivals worldwide, releasing numerous records on labels including Jealous God, Ostgut Ton, and his own label BITE. Hailing from post-punk roots, Payne draws on his depth of musical knowledge and multitude of influences. His merging of nuanced references and high concept narratives remain geared towards the dancefloor at its core, subtleties of his multifarious sonic palette act as the foundations for his layered wall of sound. Payne launched the BITE imprint in 2018 as a means to platform cutting-edge sound production across a diverse roster of international artists. Along with fellow Soft Crash protagonist Pablo Bozzi pioneering ‘Italo Body Music’, BITE’s seminal synthesis of curated techno solidifies the label as a tour de force taste-maker within electronic music with showcases worldwide including Berghain and their 5 year anniversary compilation ‘Shedding Skin’ in 2023.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Hospital Productions, Jealous God, Falling Ethics and 4 more.Recently at Berghain, KREUZWERK · often with Ne/Re/A, Roi Perez, Auspex, none of them here that night

“Volvox is a global leader in the movement for representation of female, queer, trans and nonbinary identities in the techno industry.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Volvox is a global leader in the movement for representation of female, queer, trans and nonbinary identities in the techno industry. A dominant figure of New York’s techno renaissance, across the globe the name DJ Volvox has become synonymous with surgical mixing technique and a certain square-shooting, take-no-prisoner approach towards dance floor business. Her parties are the stuff of legend, and her authenticity as a global cultural figure is undeniable. As a member of Discwoman, the all-female DJ crew that transformed electronic music culture over the last decade, she broke ground for more women to rise in the global DJ ranks and inspired countless more to begin in the craft. Having circled the globe more times than she can count, Volvox has turned her sights back on nurturing electronic music culture in her home, the United States. Ariana is now spearheading the construction of a space of inclusivity under the umbrella of a FLINTA-driven event series, simply named FLINTA NYC. Her music-driven program seeks to reinvigorate the techno scene by reviving context and nuance and blending scenes to push Brooklyn nightlife into the next chapter. Ariana is known for tough, stripped-back techno and groovy hypnotic sets that seduce the listener into a maelstrom of emotion. She has been a busy DJ and event producer since 2006 and in that time has shared the decks with many international stars including DVS1, Marcel Dettmann, Ellen Allien, The Hacker, Legowelt and Mike Servito. Raised in Buffalo, New York, her early experiences in the industrial and rave scenes of rust-belt America shaped her outlook on dance culture. An ardent supporter of the underground, she was a key figure in developing the electronic music scene in Boston, Massachusetts from 2007-2010. Breaking out internationally in 2015 she has enjoyed a busy tour schedule including noted appearances at Dekmantel and the ascendant Sustain-Release festival in upstate New York. Since then she tours extensively across Europe and makes regular appearances at Berghain/Panorama Bar in Berlin. She also tours South America and Asia yearly. Ariana is a unique character on the US scene guaranteed to bring a high energy show that lights up dance floors with an undeniable spirit.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Jack Dept and Murder Records.Last at RSO.BERLIN in May · often with Boris, Sissies of Mercy, Johanna Constantine, none of them here that night

The short-story version of Kim Ann Foxman’s trajectory is pretty simple: An island-born kid dreams of a life in clubland, hits the big city and, with a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work, emerges as one of dance music’s leading figures. But it’s the details that transforms her singular tale into something far more fascinating than the standard-issue success story. After all, what other DJ can lay claim to the title of Miss Teen Filipina Hawaii? How many can say that their first job in nightlife was when in high school, serving as the in-house dancer and serving rave smoothies at an all-ages club? How many, after moving to New York by way of San Francisco in the early ’00s, can say that they helped to rejuvenate the city’s then-stale nightlife via her residency at one of the best parties ever held in a hole-in-the-wall gay bar, the Mad Clams affair? How many have tasted stardom as one of the original members of the scene-making dance-music collective Hercules and Love Affair? Exactly one, and it’s Kim Ann. But it’s a safe bet that she would have made it to where she is today without those biographical eccentricities, because her near-classical take on jacking club rhythms is hard to resist, sounding as fantastic at a full-scale mega-rave as it does at a grimy basement bash. It’s a universally appealing sound that’s taken her around the world—the past few years have seen her playing such hallowed halls as Fabric, Berghain, DC-10, Concrete and Contact, all while holding down a residency at her hometown’s Good Room. A lifetime in clubbing has informed Kim Ann’s studio work as well, with her music—much of it coming out on her own Firehouse label—synthesizing the best elements of raw house, propulsive 303 material, emotive techno and even the occasional hint of trance into a hugely satisfying whole that lives somewhere between the weird and the wonderful. And then there’s her latest project, Pleasure Planet, which sees her teaming with Andrew Potter and Brian Hersey to add sparkling touches of extraterrestrial new wave to the mix on her new sublabel, self:timer. It’s yet another twist in the continuing saga of Kim Ann Foxman—and, we’d wager, there are plenty more to come. “Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music. As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late 90’s, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene. He runs Warm Up, his very own imprint, since 2000 as well as the label PoleGroup Records since 2004, both of which have reached the 50 releases mark. On 2013 he started a series of live A/V performances under several project names like Light and Dark, Biolive and Monochrome AV. In 2019 he will celebrate his thirty-year career with a very special secret lineup party in Madrid that will be much talked about because of its concept and the quality of the guests. 2019 also meant the Selection Natural project peak time with releases in Pole Group and performances all over the club universe. The uncertain days of 2020 and 2021 meant a sudden stop of all touring action but Oscar kept busy with his studio work. A bunch of releases saw the light during that period and his audiovisual project Monochrome had some performances under the security environment required those days. Now near the end of 2021 most of the club activity has returned and Oscar has again a full schedule gigwise. We also celebrate his 20 years in production with releases on Token records, Semantica, and his very own Warm Up Recordings with a new limited vinyl series called WUBC mostly available on Bandcamp.Their RA profile lists Tsunami, Tresor, Token, MindTrip and 6 more.Recently at Berghain, RSO.BERLIN · often with Massimiliano Pagliara, none of them here that night
