Behind the musical side of Wave Arising, you will find pioneer 69db who has been improvising with the electronic live set since 1991 with Spiral Tribe, SP23, R-Zac & Dharma Techno. Pathfinder and self-taught, he is one of the founders of the Hard Techno / Tribe Techno style. As cross-over artist and lover of Afro music in all of its forms he has also worked with Jazz musicians, Anglo-Jamaican vocalist Tablloyd and Madagascan MCs while producing tracks for many record labels including, Big Life/ Butterfly records, Force Inc, Labworks, Trax records Chicago, Network 23 & Expressillon. Today within Wave Arising, a valuable opportunity presents itself to him to skillfully combine sounds ranging from the soundscape, tribal tones & ambient to experimental dub techno. During live performances , workshops & gatherings , Wave Arising create a safe place where personal process comes to mingle with the collective journey ! With sets known to evolve in both tempo and style whilst retaining a psychedelic foundation, 69db goes intuitively with the collective audience to then invite it to introspection that is both evolutionary and transcendent. Brooding and dark, eerie yet seductive and well rounded in its sonic delivery. Melbourne’s Ebony Willis is no stranger to rolling out an ethereal aura to electronic music, making her mark on the industry with her trademark bearing in the melodic techno realm. Signing music to the likes of Recovery Collective, Frisson Records and more from her city of Melbourne to across the world, Ebony has been trailblazing with a global footprint from her studio to the clubs and festivals in between, handing techno enthusiasts a true dark and stormy. 2020 opened up with a stellar spot on Ugenius Music with Nyctophilia, attaining a desirable 8th spot on Beatport’s Melodic House and Techno Releases Chart, while she took on remix duties for Mittens’ ‘Dreamscapes’ shortly after. Just prior her addition to the well renowned Recovery Collective ‘Alliance’ compilation featured her track ‘Deep Within My Mind’, alongside fellow Melbourne artists Bongani, Jydn and more. Embracing a cosmically-driven taste for techno, Ebony is truly celebrated down south and beyond as one of the scene’s burgeoning producers. Driving a scintillating journey for dance floors with her moody and stoically beautiful signature sounds, Ebony Willis holds her residency at Sooki Saturdays, while delivering dark and dusky hues on guest spots at Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon and more. On the festival circuit Ebony has billed on Babylon, while earning support with the Vini Vici ‘Great Spirit’ Tour and playing shows with Victor Ruiz, Thomas Schumacher, Patrice Baumel and Dosem. Pleasure and repetition, declension of the word percussion, Marylou carves raw oneirism. Raised between forests and ocean in the south west coast of France, her first languages are painting and cinema before she got involved in different ways (writing, drawing, promoting) in the parisian birthing scene in the 2010's. Her daring and psychedelic sets are always an experimentation of her true style : From Traditional music, improv jazz and Noise to dub, bass, footwork and jungle, there are always special instants in Marylou’s mixes which have already gotten the likes of edgy festivals & platforms like Terraforma, Freerotation, Intonal, CTM, Meakusma, or in clubs from Berghain to cafe Oto..
