their own biography
the whole biography
Clovis found his calling behind the decks from the age of 19. Almost two decades later, his deep passion for music has never waned, having played regularly and soaked up the influences of some of dance music's most iconic scenes—New York, Bucharest, and now Berlin, where he’s a resident at the legendary Club Der Visionaere. His journey through the underground has given him a deep-rooted connection to the core of dance music and an acute ear for quality across all genres. Whether he’s tearing up a dark warehouse at 4 a.m. in LA, setting a vibe with chilled hip hop in places like Kasheme in Zurich, or compiling one of his signature jazz podcasts, Clovis captivates audiences with his versatility. Range, eclecticism and willingness to embrace the unconventional have become hallmarks of his approach, reflecting a DJ who prioritizes mood, context, and atmosphere over a predictable formula. In doing so, Clovis continues to evolve as an artist, bringing something distinctive and timeless to every set he plays.Their RA profile lists Adjunct, LesIzmo:r, Blaq Records, Culprit and 4 more.Recently at Sonnenraum, Club der Visionaere, Beate Uwe · often with Topper, Cesar Merveille, Chaker, none of them here that night

Prior chapters in Seattle and Bretagne, and a thread that still runs through San Francisco. His influences include the bittersweet tail of the pre-Giuliani NYC club scene, the Detroit/Berlin axis, and the relationship between contemporary classical and electronic music. As gifted on the decks as he is in the studio, CHKLTE approaches music with a delicateness that defies his towering stature. With vibrant, seductive blooms and deep, syrupy booms, his subtleties climb into the ear like tendrils. Jonathan began sneaking into South Texas clubs at the age of 15 to DJ after countless hours digging through online archives. In 2012, he became a resident of Austin TX and quickly became a regular guest DJ across the state. CHKLTE is now a resident DJ behind the infamous Blacktone agency & party series that sparked out of Austin Texas, which regularly hosts the likes of Dyed Soundroom, Nicolas Lutz, Francesco Del Garda, tINI, Raresh, Praslea , Lamache and Robin Ordell. The move from Jonathan to CHKLTE spurned a series of releases on labels such as OGE, We R The Aliens, Personality Disorder, Vatos Locos, Solid Grooves Raw, Moonfruit, Floorpiece Digital, Melotherapy and Honne Music. He has also launched 2 labels both for vinyl format; CHOKO & Crowded Floor, and has launched his digital label exclusively through bandcamp; ChokoDIGI, where you can personal edits & originals. CHKLTE is now based between Ibiza & the US and can often be found controlling the dance floors of Fabric London, Hi Ibiza, DC 10 Ibiza, Epizode & UNUM festivals in Albania, ADE in Amsterdam, Club der Visionaere, as well as Mexico, Canada, London, Romania, Czech Republic & Bulgaria. He can be often found on lineups alongside Dyed Soundorom, Gescu, The Martinez Brothers, Voigtmann, Nu Zau, tINI, Herodot, Priku, Afriqua and in May 2021 closed Space Miami b2b2b with the legendary pairing of Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh.Their RA profile lists Visionquest, Unscene Records, Melotherapy, Mind&Vision and 6 more.often with David Berrie, Amba, Auphoria, none of them here that night
