Joe connects the fundamentals of disco, house and electro to dance music’s vivid present, creating moments of pure pop catharsis along the way. His deeply personal approach — both serious and playful, thoughtful and spontaneous — has brought him to internationally respected clubs (Closer, Globus, Outra Cena, Panoramabar, Savage, .TAG) and festivals (Dimensions, Equation, Horst, Waking Life), as well as queer parties from Adonis to Honcho, Love Muscle, Multisex and Pumping Velvet. Joe also runs a vinyl/digital label, Welt Discos, and writes a much-loved newsletter about his experiences as a DJ and listener.Recently at Tresor / Globus, arkaoda Berlin · often with TRESOR, GLOBUS, Gwenan, none of them here that night
“Daniel Rincon has lived in a hundred different worlds, and he has built a utopia in each of them.”

the whole biography
Daniel Rincon has lived in a hundred different worlds, and he has built a utopia in each of them. The Colombia-born artist—better known as NAP—would hear the sounds of cumbia and merengue floating through his house, but he was interested in rougher stuff: punk, hardcore, no wave. In his childhood, Rincon’s music teacher told his mother that he had an ear better fitted for field artillery than music; when he was a teenager, Rincon’s family moved to Vancouver, and there, he found a way to weaponize that ear. He started going to no wave shows, and he’d DJ parties with busted equipment. It was punk in sound, but more importantly, in practice.Techno on 7, Ambient on 6, House on 6 and Downtempo on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Craigie Knowes (1), Delicate Records (2) (1) and Quern (1). labels on their catalogued releasesRecently at OXI, OHM, arkaoda Berlin · often with Norm Talley, deep creep, Francis Harris, none of them here that night
