In 2022 he released his second EP Angel Hours to high acclaim. Angel Hours rise felt like it was imminent from the first listen, with contributions from Noa (Voice Actor/Stroom) and 3NDLES5 (Low Life). Mike’s production across the release feels akin to 90’s artists like I:Cube, Thievery Corporation or certain Weatherall moments. The heavenly references are well deserved with multiple moments on the release feeling truly divine, whilst others take a low-lit and alluring feel. Mike Midnight feels singular in the Australian music landscape. Angel Hours continues the lineage of Australian music breaking through to international recognition with the release becoming a mainstay on NTS Radio, breakfast show host Flo Dill dubbing it “music that when listened to at night makes you feel unstoppable.” His recent DJ sets at Globus, Miscellania and on The Lot Radio showcase his unique skills as a DJ. Mike boasts a deep and broad knowledge of downtempo and club music centered around his signature style of smoked-out rhythms, deviant basslines and illbient elegance.Recently at Fitzroy, Kwia, Tresor / Globus · often with emkay (FI), Roza Terenzi, Paper-Cuts, none of them here that night

Splitting his time between his hometown Naarm (Melbourne) and touring, Reptant’s reputation now precedes him the world over as one of the underground’s most sought-after live acts. Pushing his machines to the limit to deliver consummate electro on labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult and Trust has entrenched him among icons of the sound and contemporary luminaries alike. He has collaborated with new-school stars Sansibar and Rudolf C, while touring alongside legends like Radioactive Man and Transparent Sound through his label and party series, Plastisonic. His style — singular, timeless, and squelchy — has earned him regular slots at the scene’s most definitive clubs and festivals worldwide, including Fold (London), Nowadays (NYC), Waking Life (Portugal), Love International (Croatia), and Houghton (England). On top of his live sets, Reptant has been honing his DJing with incredible clarity, never losing focus on the needs of the dance floor while laying down esoteric heat from across the electro/techno continuum.
