Rooted in house classics, Chicago and NYC house, he balances pumping Old Skool records with carefully selected tech & deep cuts. Punchy basslines and captivating vocals meet sublte cross-genre references of the hip-hop, disco and techno spectrum, coming together in an energetic groove with a distinct underground feel. Darwin Stapel's musicality is based in movement: physical and highly instinctive. He crafts intentional narratives that unfold over long arcs, building energy while leaving space for unexpected turns. Drawing from a deep understanding of house music’s roots and the present moment, he guides the room with clarity. 2025 show highlights include Dalston Superstore (London), Renate (Berlin), NOH Radio (Istanbul) & events at CPH Fashion Week.Recently at Ritter Butzke, Renate, OXI · often with Eva Crystaltips, Quadrakey, Luca Olivotto, none of them here that night
“Johannes Albert is a well-known House music producer and DJ from Berlin.”

the whole biography
Johannes Albert is a well-known House music producer and DJ from Berlin. For over 10 years, he has been running his own music label, Frank Music, and has become a key figure in Berlin’s club scene and beyond. His DJ career has taken him around the world—from London and Tokyo to Sao Paolo and Offenbach—thanks to his exciting sets and reputation for mixing different music styles. He has also released music on respected labels like Live At Robert Johnson, Rawax, and Permanent Vacation. Johannes blends different styles in music, mixing modern disco affairs with acid house, current rave revivals, and classics in the right moment. His sets are energetic and full of surprises, often showing off his open taste in music. He grew up in Franconia near Würzburg and got into music through his love for House and Disco. Over time, his interests expanded to include Techno, Italo Disco, and more. His talent and personality helped him rise from small hometown clubs to become a regular at top venues like Robert Johnson and international venues like Sunday Sunday in Mexico City. Frank Music started as a home for his own work, leading to four solo albums, including the ambient gem "Spessart". Tracks like "Endorphin Refill" and "Fountain of Youth" have become favorites, and he has also worked with artists like I:Cube, Fred P, Eden Burns, Robert Owens and Gerd Janson. The quadruple Moon album series with longtime collaborator Iron Curtis show off his more moody material while his EPs with Lauer & Biesmans are made straight for club-use. Johannes is also a sought-after remixer, known for his versatility and instinct for the dancefloor. Artists like Riva Starr & Mark Broom, Keinemusik, and Catz 'N Dogz have trusted him to reinterpret their work. In summer 2025, the acclaimed producer returns with his forthcoming album "Private Dancer" on Permanent Vacation and it's a statement. The album - his first in 6 years - stars a sound that was always in him - called House - something that moves the body and warms the soul. Collaboration is key. London's own Helen Salvin graces "Wide-Eyed" with her magnificent voice where midtempo meets a subtle boogie. Things heat up when Biesmans jumps in for the infectious, uptempo "Get My Gee". And when friend Iron Curtis lends a hand, the title track "Private Dancer" melts into subliminal grooves. With 15 years of releases and 25 years behind the DJ booth Johannes Albert masters the balance: Dance Music that's always classy yet still offers a modern twist. Maybe all we need now is a basement, a red light, and - you know it - more of that feeling.Their RA profile lists Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, Jack Off, Frank Music and 2 more.Recently at Kater, ://about blank, Renate · often with HOPPER, ACID BOGEN, Mila Stern, none of them here that night
