“Znzl is a Moroccan born artist, based in Berlin.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Znzl is a Moroccan born artist, based in Berlin. Their musical approach through productions, DJ sets and live sets is to transform catharsis into a tangible visceral experience, moving the soul through the body and mind with intention. This signature sound, both in their selection and productions, can be identified with high energy build-ups, dark, cathartic, trippy elements consolidated with mental, hypnotic textures. Introspective, yet uncompromising with the initial goal: a dancefloor oriented direction. Although in constant evolution, Znzl keeps these identifiable high energy, sharp percussion patterns - still giving space to each element to breathe. Sound foundations for the body, dense grooving floor, sparkled with vaporous sound design and understated euphoria. Znzl’s artistic identity is rooted in a solid, and multifaceted expertise in sound, mixing and mastering engineering. As one of the co-founders of Demian Records ((with Öspiel and CVNSUMED (NN)), they went through innovative explorations within electronic music. Before their recent artistic turn, they shared their art on respected labels such as Persephonic Sirens, Genesa, Promena, Void+1. Before entering this new phase of their artistic trajectory, their work appeared on respected labels such as Persephonic SIrens, Genesa, Promena and Void+1.
Their RA profile lists Genesa Records, Persephonic Sirens, KR Records, Gegen Records and 1 more.

    the whole biography
DJ, producer, and singer Linn Elisabet embodies contemporary techno. Defying conventional frameworks and functionality, their compositions and performances are characterized by ethereal vocals, intricate sound design, and raw broken beats. With a classically trained background in cello and church choirs, it's clear where their reverberant soundscapes and symphonic narratives originate. In addition to their works on their own label, Acts of Rebellion, Linn has released music on renowned labels such as 47, Noise Manifesto, and Gegen, among others. > Acts of Rebellion releases alternative dance music that challenges genre conventions and traditional functionality. By fiercely representing diverse and transgressive expressions, the label aims to leave an indelible mark on techno, offering alternatives to the status quo and the established norms of dance music. The imprint's mission is driven by artistic collaboration, transmedial expressions, and custom limited-edition releases. Acts of Rebellion affiliates include artists such as Rå, Metaraph, Raär, Angel Karel, Amotik, and more.

  • Miia Magia

“Miia Magia’s past two decades of exploring the dancefloor with her groovy and hypnotic sets has been a labour of love.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Miia Magia’s past two decades of exploring the dancefloor with her groovy and hypnotic sets has been a labour of love. The once passionate clubber, record collector and lover of the UK alternative rock sound today lights up her sets with raw techno. Hailing from the LGBTQ+ scene where she is a staple figure and organising various club concepts in Helsinki paved her way into entering the high school of techno in Stockholm. A beautiful journey through festival stages, warehouse raves and club nights in Europe, from Iceland to Germany together with HE.SHE.THEY. (resident), Berghain, RSO, Culture Box, HALL and Department. Miia is the owner of Motto Sono Records, actively running the label since 2020 with releases mainly focusing on Scandinavian deep techno. A rare gem of a label, keeping the underground culture alive and providing possibilities for artists to release uncompromised music for the demanding audience as well as DJs from up and coming producers to heavyweight pioneers. Miia started out by playing at various Helsinki clubs and parties, which naturally led her to set up her own regular club night in Semifinal, a legendary local underground venue. “Club FF” became in 2004 the first club night in Semifinal's history run solely by female DJs, making Miia the pioneer that she is to this day. Miia continued trailblazing by gaining a residency in club DTM, the undisputed cornerstone or in their own words "institution of all things queer in the Helsinki nighttime", and eventually leading the massive Helsinki Pride parade for several years. At mbar, one of Helsinki’s most beloved cultural hangouts, Miia’s “Sound of Magic” concept became an instant classic. While DJing in the Finnish capital she has shared the stage with her local heroes Roberto Rodriguez and Orion to name but a few. Currently Miia is a resident DJ for HE.SHE.THEY., the London based, high profile club concept, taking her to Copenhagen, Riga and Reykjavik to play alongside Biggi Veira (Gus Gus), Exos and Kristin Velvet. From 2015 to 2019 Miia was based in Sweden, making her way through the highly prestigious Stockholm underground techno scene. There Miia’s work was recognized with invitations coming in to warm up legends like Axel Boman, Cari Lekebusch and Dj Hell. Since 2022 Miia has been signed to Stockholm based booking agency Parabel. After returning to Helsinki in 2020 Miia created the independent label Motto Sono Records together with Cari Lekebusch, following the principle of releasing distinctive and unique electronic music with the definition; deep, but driving. Releases by the likes of Alexi Delano, Joel Mull, Tm Shuffle and Tapani Rinne and collaborations with Scandinavian visual artists for the label’s cover art have made scrolling through Motto Sono’s catalogue feel like visiting an art gallery. In addition to her main focus as a dj and label owner, during the past decade Miia has also been able to channel her creative talent and pursuit of beauty into make-up artistry and jewellery design. Often collaborating with performing artists, she has created looks for musicians like Jori Hulkkonen for his music video and the late great Prince's band members Cassandra O'Neil and John Blackwell prior to their concert in Helsinki. Miia Magia Design jewellery collaborations include several Finnish museums, Swedish record labels Drumcode and H-Productions and Helsinki Pride. Her jewellery has also made appearances on various red carpet events, out of which adorning Aki Kaurismäki's "Fallen Leaves" film crew members at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023 is one of Miia’s personal highlights.

“Pooja B's idea of techno is a skittish exploration of time and space in this Dystopian world.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Pooja B's idea of techno is a skittish exploration of time and space in this Dystopian world. While futuristic, loopy, industrial sounds for dark clubs are the signature style, she can skilfully adapt to play music for outdoor spaces. Pooja is an Indian artist who is now based in Berlin. Notable shows she played are Berghain (Saule),Tresor, RSO, Ohm, Khidi, Womb, Magnetic Fields festival, Gegen, Mina Suspension, Bronx Sauna, Le Guess Who Festival among others. With performances at renowned clubs, festivals and for many queer collectives, Pooja is not just growing a following but building a community who supports her where ever she goes. She hosts Majja, an inclusive event bringing her passion for food, art and music in one place. She also hosts a radio show on mental health in music spaces called The Coping* Club and is a resident on Refuge Worldwide Radio. She has also hosted New Faces at Tresor spotlighting artists from the global south as she believes BIPOC artists are still an under represented minority in electronic music. She co-founded The EQ Way collective in India and curated 'The EQ Way' radio show on Flux Music (Berlin), which provided a platform for female-identifying & queer artists to showcase their music to a wider audience. She hosted a bi-weekly radio show called "ikigai" on India’s primary community radio, Boxout.fm which is a journey diving into realms of dark industrial techno. She has been a resident at Analog Room a weekly underground party with a cult following in Dubai, where she was based because of her flight-attendant job. She also held residencies at Warped & Electric Days prior to that, also in Dubai. Previously, Pooja released her music under the alias “ikigai”. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "the reason for being". She has had releases on Sonata Music, Underdub Records, Fabrik Music, SMR Underground, Fehlr Musik, 22.2, BLVSH and has had 3 Bandcamp self-releases. She also takes a firm stand against racism, sexism & environmental issues, which she expresses via her music.
