    the whole biography
Eric Cloutier’s career has always been defined by a certain kind of relentless, monastic discipline. With a career spanning over 25 years, the Detroit-born, Berlin-based artist has earned a reputation as a "record-digging psychopath," obsessively hunting for the deep, hypnotic, and dubby textures that define his signature sound. Cloutier's trajectory is a masterclass in craft over ranking. After honing his skills as a mainstay at New York's The Bunker, he relocated to Berlin, where he now serves as a resident DJ at the legendary Tresor. Whether he's steering the floor at world-class institutions or playing intimate, niche alcoves, his sets are celebrated for their technical dexterity and seamless bridge between dance music's heritage and its future. His commitment to perfection is best encapsulated by his label, Palinoia - a Greek term for the obsessive repetition of an act until it is mastered. Through the imprint, Cloutier releases his own sleek productions and provides a platform for emerging talent, proving that for him, quality remains the ultimate watchword.
Their RA profile lists Sistrum Recordings, Wolfskuil Records, Semantica Records, Freund der Familie and 6 more.

Having garnered a rich musical education through working at and holding a DJ residency for one of the UK's most respected record shops, Eastern Bloc, Kerrie's in-depth knowledge and unwavering dedication to music shines through her notable back catalogue and bolshy, unforgiving DJ and Live sets. Honing her craft for over a decade, Kerrie achieved a milestone at the start of 2024 when Tresor announced her as a resident DJ. Playing several shows (both live and DJ sets) at the Berlin-based space, Kerrie also represents the seminal club at showcases worldwide. Celebrated venues like Berghain, fabric, FOLD, Elsewhere NYC, and festival bookings at Freedom Medellin, Freerotation, Drift, Basilar and many more have shaped her schedule along the way. First learning to mix via her brother's turntables in the early 2000s, it wasn't until 2009 that Kerrie invested in her own set-up and built an extensive record collection, covering everything from ambient, electronic, house, EBM, acid, electro, and her go-to genre, techno. Kerrie delivers tough moods from the turntables, as conveyed in her mixes for Reclaim Your City, Bassiani, SLAM and Crack, where she carefully blended high-energy styles of UK, Detroit, and European techno, many of which stem from the 90s and the 00s. It's frequent to hear Kerrie weave broken elements into her mixes too, chopping up the 4/4 groove at just the right moment to keep things propulsive. Kerrie's Live sets are renowned for their trippy motifs and high impact on the dancefloor; her set from Freerotation in 2019 was one of the festival's most talked-about debuts. Following well-received releases on labels such as Don't Be Afraid, Cultivated Electronics, I Love Acid and Symbolism, Kerrie launched her imprint Dark Machine Funk [DMF] in 2020. The label homes her distinctly raw aesthetic and honours her love for dark, gritty, metallic and industrial sounds melded with elements of funk, heavily influenced by second-wave Detroit artists, UK techno and music by some of her favourite artists: James Ruskin, Blawan and Surgeon. Kerrie's first release on DMF, "Inner Space PT1", was praised by Resident Advisor, who credited her ability to make "lean, fierce techno that knows how to groove." 2022 was a watershed year for Kerrie's productions. She debuted on the monumental UK techno label Blueprint with her EP "Raw Regimen", which landed acclaimed reviews. Truly welcomed to the Blueprint family, Kerrie delivered her second EP in 2023 and joined the crew at label showcases around the globe. In the same year, she marked her tenth release on vinyl called "Transient Belief" which Blueprint added to their discography. In 2024, Kerrie's output continues to captivate, with Tresor releasing her EP "Machine Alliance", further solidifying her connection with the club and label and fulfilling one of her many goals (and dreams) as an artist. Coming to international prominence in more recent years, regardless of her decade-long tenure in Manchester's vibrant scene, Kerrie is deeply invested in the culture of electronic music, starting from her teenage era as a raver in Ireland up to her innovative projects today. In 2017, she founded Eastern Bloc's in-house event space to nurture local talent, which remains at the heart of Manchester's music community. Having ended her 11-year stint at the shop in 2023 to fully commit to the studio and accommodate her increasingly busy tour schedule, Kerrie is forging a long-lasting path fuelled by drive, passion, authenticity and a community-first way of thinking.

The gleam of cosmic light reflects on polished surfaces, sometimes tracing long smooth curves, other times ending in edges, outlining a powerful machine that pierces a path between the gravitational pull of a black hole and the attraction of a newly-born star’s brightness. If Lewis Fautzi´s sound could be captured in material form, it would look something like this. You can draw a similar parallel to his career so far. Lewis Fautzi has had a meteoric ascension in the global techno scene like a projectile fired into space at the speed of light. Establishing the norm of releasing on well-respected labels, in 2013 his first noteworthy edition came on Soniculture, a label from his home country Portugal. Fautzi then started a lineage of releases on classic techno label Slam´s imprint Soma Quality. His first release on the label was the powerful ‘Turn’ EP, followed by the trippy ‘Binary’ which received an Oscar Mulero remix. The third release for Fautzi on Soma was the relentlessly undulating ‘Range’ before cumulating in his 2014 debut album ‘The Gare Album’, named after the Porto club which has served as his creative impulse and the launch platform for his career. His reputation growing with every release, early support came from the legendary Jeff Mills. Playing multiple productions of his in a single set, it was the definitive seal of approval for a promising creator beginning to define his sound and style. By 2015 and still at just Fautzi’s catalogue had exploded: two EPs on Figure; two releases on Pole Group which including an EP of originals remixed by Exium and Kwartz; a single on the ‘Unknown Landscapes Vol.2’ compilation; a track on Warm-Up (Oscar Mulero providing the remix); and on his own beloved Faut Section imprint, a collaboration with Pär Grindvik that led to an Oscar Mulero EP with two Lewis Fautzi remixes. Fautzi also dropped a second album on Soma, ‘Space Exploration’, full of highly conceptual material, as personal as it feels alien, where Fautzi displayed his insatiable thirst for musical knowledge and exploration by broadening his horizons towards more ambient and experimental sound forms. Fast-forward to 2019 where Fautzi has now produced four albums: ‘The Gare Album’, ‘Space Exploration’, ‘The Ascension Of Mind’ and most recently ‘Insanity Department’ on Faut Section, a visionary showpiece outside of the world of Techno. Fautzi also holds more than ten new EP’s on spearhead labels including Pole Group, Bpitch Berlin, Warm Up Recordings, Soma and Figure, and has provided the selection and mix for Polegroup’s ‘Unknown Landscapes Vol.6’. Outside of the studio and Fautzi has provided interstellar experiences as both a DJ and as a live-act, on dancefloors such as Tresor, Gare, Lux Frágil and of course Berghain, to name a few. Luís Gonçalves (Fautzi’s real name) hails from the small town of Barcelos, Portugal. He lives and breathes Techno. not only in his passion for production but also in his perpetual study and absorption of the art form in all its perspectives. Fautzi takes hold of an arsenal of ideas and notions and synthesizes these into his own sounds whilst adhering to the fundamentals, his productions and sets creating a truly magnetic force that appeals to Techno heads of all persuasions. There are the Mills-ian cosmic tones, the subterranean echoes of Berlin, the impact of British industrialists and the peculiar groove of the Spanish scene, but everything has that definitive Lewis Fautzi stamp. The growing amplitude of his vision, the maturity and depth of his output from the beginning and the recognition of his peers from so early on has continuously demonstrated Lewis Fautzi´s vision. We simply wonder, where his explorations will take him - and us - next?

“Mareena's deep connection with electronic music began in her early teenage years in East Germany, where she experienced the quaking rise of techno.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Mareena's deep connection with electronic music began in her early teenage years in East Germany, where she experienced the quaking rise of techno. Growing up amidst youth club culture and underground parties in abandoned buildings, she was shaped by the no-nonsense, freedom-oriented spirit of the post-communist era. But it was when she moved to Berlin in 2004, that she started DJing, and the city and its vigorous nightlife contributed immensely to her understanding as an artist. Musically spoken, her roots branch deep into the spirit and sound of dub techno and pre and early 2000s techno productions. Adding to this foundation, Mareena has developed a statement sound characterized by rhythmic, lively, and non-linear beats that create an unrelenting flow of energy on the dancefloor. This foundation has earned a long-standing residency (since 2012) in the techno institution Tresor, which stands for a similar ethos. Authentic, but always evolving. Her ability to include hard and elegant elements into her vinyl-oriented sets has led her to play at renowned clubs across the globe - Berghain, De School, Faust Seoul or for the Bunker New York events. Mareena brings that club spirit also to life at the festivals she played, ranging from the cutting edge Up To Date Festival to ravier happenings like the Third Room and not to forget her ambient appearances like at Mostra Barcelona. As opposites are necessary to create balance and harmony, another facet of Mareena’s DJing is the subtle and evocative touches of her ambient sets. Mindfulness, slowing down and the art of contemplation are equally important to Mareen than the dancefloor euphoria. This has led her to found the event series, podcast and label UNRUSH in 2016. Unrush focuses on different hues of ambient music and therefore likes to be a counterpoint to today's fast-paced society. Mareena's career extends beyond DJing into production, too. Productions, that celebrate her love of synthesizers and don't stick to any of the classic genre boxes. So far, Mareena has released on labels like Muzan Editions, Tresor, and her imprint, Unrush. Her collaborative album with JakoJako, "Atlas Der Gedanken," is dedicated to different shades of ambient that make the listener reflect inwards and gaze outwards simultaneously through its organic and electronic touches. Mareena's credibility and authenticity, paired with a daring style, make her a key presence in today’s electronic music culture and carry its spirit forward.

“Steve Huerta is at the vanguard of the house music underground.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Steve Huerta is at the vanguard of the house music underground. Ever since relocating from L.A. to Berlin a decade ago, Huerta's been refining a deep, groove-based sound, equal parts nostalgic and futuristic. His productions wiggle with old school tech house funkiness, but are polished with lush technicolor sound design. Landing on some of the underground's most esteemed labels, like Slow Life, SlapFunk, and Small Hours, his records have become buy-on-site necessities for DJs and listeners who like their house sunkissed and swung. Recently he’s released many of his biggest tracks to date on his own label, Leizure, where he's knocked out a series of all killer, no filler 12-inches since launching in 2020. Alongside this steady diet of club gems, he also isn't afraid to venture into the chill out room. Across two LPs, 2020's Junipero and 2023's TV Slang, he's experimented with dubby, breakbeat, downtempo, and ambient textures, showcasing a more introspective, but no less accomplished set of production skills. Regardless of whether he's turning out a slinky tech house groover or a moody dub burner, his records sound just as good in the big room as the living room. As well as his impressive and prolific production credits, Huerta continues to rack up gigs at some of the world's finest clubs and festivals. With his bag of dusty, under-the-radar digs, custom tailored edits, and ever present new original productions, Huerta has carved out signature DJ experience. In a clubland landscape saturated with sameness, Huerta remains a singular figure. Both in the booth and studio, he displays an intimate and deep knowledge of house music past, present, and future.
