YAAND is the experimental alias of Anda Kryeziu—classically trained pianist and composer, performer and media artist—whose practice merges contemporary composition with glitch-heavy electronica, IDM, and hyperpop aesthetics. Under the moniker YAAND, she explores the fusion of her distinctive contemporary compositions with the aesthetics of hyper-pop , IDM and electronica. Marc Matter started DJing in the mid-1990s, when he was a co-founder of artist's collective Institut für Feinmotorik. Around 2000, studies in sound art and experimental composition with Anthony Moore and being in the orbit of A-Musik in Cologne. There, he also co-ran GrüeziKlub (with Shumi and Okinawa 69) at Gewölbe Club. When Salon des Amateurs (Düsseldorf) opened, Marc became part of it, as a resident DJ and inviting artists of a large bandwidth (from Water Lily and Plastique du Reve to Sound Stream, Die Vögel, Matmos, or Black Dice). Since around 2010, a new field of sound creation is at work: sonic poetry and word composition, where language turns into sound and music. Many works for broadcast and some releases emerged from that, a work that is ongoing, demonstrating a strong curiosity about the connection between language and music, sound and sense. This is the more experimental side of Marc's work, materiliazing in recordings and live-shows. As for DJing club music, he re-entered the scene since 2025, playing regularly at Salon des Amateurs and at the new-found series Acephalic Headspace as resident. Since the beginning, an important aim was to mix historic and contemporary music and sounds, as well as selecting across genre boundaries, additionally including odd noises, field recordings, or spoken word to the sets.
