As a producer, DJ and label owner Charlie Fieber continues to be an important figure in the development and innovation of UK electronic music genres with a career spanning over two decades. As Fracture, Fieber’s output is prolific and never stands still. From the hyper sped up Techno sound of Turbo to the genre blending Footwork Jungle collaborations with Teklife regulars DJ Earl, DJ Spinn and DJ Taso. He is constantly experimenting and flipping the script and 2022 saw the release of the world building Ambient Electro album Omura with Sam Binga. Releases and affiliations have come from some of the UK’s legendary hardcore continuum labels such as Goldie’s Metalheadz, dBridge’s Exit records, where in 2016 Fieber was part of the mysterious Richie Brains supergroup with fellow experimenters Alix Perez, Chimpo, Fixate, Om Unit, Sam Binga and Stray, and more recently with Alix Perez’s 1985 which saw the curveball collaboration with Kenyan artist Nah Eeto. Fieber’s latest work is his most ambitious to date; '0860’ is an album, radio station and interview series that explores the history and legacy of Pirate Radio and its importance in the development of UK underground music. As a DJ his sound has travelled with appearances on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Boiler Room, Fact Mag, Rinse FM, Keep Hush and multiple US, EU, UK and Asia tours. In 2009 the label, Astrophonica, was set up as an output for his own music with Neptune and has since become a home for other like minded and experimental artists such as Sully, Client_03 and Moresounds. Fieber’s impeccable A&R has led to a flawless and in demand back catalogue championed from Annie Mac to Sherelle and with multiple nominations in DJ Mag’s Best Of British awards.Their RA profile lists Metalheadz, Exit Records, Astrophonica and Future Retro London.- Their RA profile lists Tempa, Roska Kicks & Snares, 2nd Drop Records, Argon and 5 more.

Babe Gorgeous is an Irish bass DJ who wants to put a smile on your face and a shake in your gorgeous booty. After discovering Bassline in the sweaty warehouses of Sheffield, they relocated to Berlin where they cut their teeth as part of the infamous Femme Bass Mafia crew. Babe Gorgeous arrived with a simple mission - to bring the most ludicrous sounds of the UK bass music scene to the sweetest queer dancefloors in town. Whether it's sentimental garage cuts, cool-as-ice electro or raucous breaks, you can expect a steady stream of speedy bleeps from across the bass spectrum, always tied together with a glittering thread of silliness.Recently at Schwarze Heidi, Drugstore im Rockhaus, Der Kegel · often with Kenzura, DJ STRAIGHT GIRL, JCow, none of them here that night

In her music, she draws inspiration from genres spanning post-punk and dark wave, dubstep and dub techno, leftfield pop and experimental electronic music and combines synthesizers and machines with harp, bass, vocals and abstract lyricism. As a DJ, she fuses left-field dark bass music, intricate polyrhythms and heavy-weight sonic minimalism with both slow-paced and 160 BPM breaks, with respect to the roots of the DJ and sound system culture. ““Cutting Edge” – these words best describe Turrican's sound.”
their own biography
the whole biography
“Cutting Edge” – these words best describe Turrican's sound. Having been part of the German drum & bass and bass music scene for over 20 years, he has never been the type to seek the spotlight; rather, his focus has always been on evolving his musical vision. The aphorism “Deeper than Limbo” has established itself over the years both for his sound and in relation to his label URBAN POETRY RECORDS, which he has been running for over 15 years. On this label, he brings together artists from all over the world – from Sydney to Berlin, Bristol to Los Angeles and back again – while remaining a hidden gem, just like himself. Turrican strives to explore musical boundaries and blur transitions between genres. This approach also gave rise to the term “170,” which is meant to represent this open yet highly focused style without directing listeners' expectations towards a specific genre (such as drum & bass or dubstep). As an active member of the collective IMPULSE BASSKULTUR, Turrican has been regularly organizing bass music events in Berlin for over 15 years. With various stops in Berlin's club scene, from ://aboutblank to Berghain Kantine, the collective found its home a few years ago at Club GRETCHEN, where it has since regularly played Box II and celebrated the beauty of bass music in all its facets with national and international guests.Their RA profile lists Urban Poetry.Last at Gretchen in Jun · often with Sammy B (Deviate), Impulse Basskultur, N'Dee (Recycle/D), none of them here that night

Bass heavy, hard-pushing sounds that focus on keeping dancers sweating and smiling are Ubax’s goals when she plays. Born and raised in London, Ubax grew up surrounded by the sounds of Jungle, Drum and Bass, UK garage, Grime and Somali music. But it wasn’t until she moved to Berlin that a mixture of nostalgia and longing to hear more bass music motivated her to get behind the decks. A graduate from the fourth round of the Femme Bass Mafia mentorship programme. Ubax is inspired by the sounds of of the African diaspora, SWANA, Latin America and of course the UK. These diverse sonic influences manifest in her sets, building a bridge between old skool tunes and new sounds. More recently Ubax has been exploring her rich musical heritage and combining her two loves, bass and Somali music to create her unique musical experience for listeners.Recently at Lauschangriff, Panke, Paloma · often with BLTNM, Ingrid Hideki, Fawzi, none of them here that night

Representing Wobbla Records and BBS, Hovercat has spent the recent years rattling the subwoofers of nearly every bass-centric spot in Berlin. His sets are a trip through dubstep, jungle, footwork, breaks and trap, basically a caffeinated squirrel DJ that refuses to stay at one BPM for long.
