Raised in San Francisco and based in Berlin, the DJ, producer and composer is known for her deep and atmospheric sound that pulls from the niche recesses of techno. Originally trained as a classical cellist, Chloe left the conservatory at 18 when she discovered electronic music, moving to Berlin shortly thereafter to immerse herself in the city’s burgeoning techno scene. The confluence of these worlds has forged her textural approach to techno and inspired her to return to her instrument. Today, she uses the cello to write full-length ambient, electroacoustic live shows as well as deconstructed tones and timbres that help form the unique character of her releases for the dance floor. Chloe is a resident DJ at Tresor and has played widely across Asia, Europe, and North and South America, becoming known for driving and hypnotic sets that dig deep into the niche recesses of techno. She has releases on Tresor, Mord, Blueprint and Falling Ethics alongside Oscar Mulero. Her debut instrumental full-length came out on James Ginzburg’s Subtext label in November 2024, which she currently tours as an AV show, Oneiris. Beyond the studio, Chloe curates, hosts and produces interviews for Resident Advisor, and programs the publication’s talk programming and workshops at festivals like Atonal, Nuits Sonores, Dekmantel, Unsound, Rewire and many more.Their RA profile lists Tresor, Blueprint Records, Mord and Falling Ethics.Recently at Kantine am Berghain, Tresor / Globus, SAGE · often with Barbara Preisinger, James Ruskin, Helena Hauff, none of them here that night

She began her musical journey as a singer and instrumentalist in metal bands before transitioning into electronic music. In 2015, Ireen founded Under My Feet., a London-based collective and label that has become a hub for provocative exhibitions and showcases blending power electronics with experimental sounds. A decade later, she launched REVERSE at Säule Berghain, a party series dedicated to amplifying women, trans, and non-binary artists and creating uncompromised space for expression within the underground techno scene. The project has since expanded to London through a collaboration with SchneidersKeller, featuring curated workshops for FLINTA artists. Ireen bridges the worlds of experimental, electronic, and techno music as a versatile artist and resident DJ at the iconic Tresor Berlin. Her performances, known for their seamless fusion of avant-garde textures and pulsating dance rhythms, have taken her to prestigious venues like Berghain, Kraftwerk, Funkhaus, Basement NY, and FOLD London, as well as major festivals such as Atonal and CTM Vorspiel. Renowned for her genre-defying productions, Ireen collaborates with acclaimed artists including Drew McDowall of Coil, Sorcery, Chloe Lula, Infinity Division (fka Minimal Violence), and Kamikaze Space Programme. Notably, Ireen and Sorcery won the prestigious Raster open call for Soundtrack Europe 2025, with their work featured in a project associated with the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025. She also contributed to Imogen Heap's track What Have You Done to Me, further solidifying her reputation as a versatile artist who pushes creative boundaries across genres. Her discography, celebrated for its emotional depth and innovation, includes releases on labels such as Tresor Records, KR3, and Sonic Groove Experiments. Her 2020 debut LP, In The Land Of Silence, earned widespread acclaim for its evocative soundscapes of moving melodies and rumbling drones. Alongside her musical career, Ireen is actively involved in education. With support from organizations such as Polyphase and Subverted, and funding from the Berlin Music Board, she has conducted Ableton workshops specifically designed for women and non-binary individuals, empowering underrepresented communities in electronic music. Her educational initiatives have also extended to institutions like Berklee College of Music and Ramp Music Academy. Ireen's influence reaches beyond music; she is an advocate for inclusivity and innovation in the arts, continuously pushing the boundaries of leftfield electronic music.Their RA profile lists Tresor, Sonic Groove, Instruments Of Discipline, BITE and 4 more.Recently at Tresor / Globus, Berghain · often with UFO95, Telephones, Ranma Entero, none of them here that night
“DJ Plant Texture, born Donato Basile in Bari, Southern Italy, is an electronic music producer, DJ, and former record store owner whose work blends raw rhythmic intensity with deep emotional resonance.”
their own biography
the whole biography
DJ Plant Texture, born Donato Basile in Bari, Southern Italy, is an electronic music producer, DJ, and former record store owner whose work blends raw rhythmic intensity with deep emotional resonance. Active since the early 2000s under various aliases including Dona, A662, and DJ PT, he is best known for his genre-defying productions that fuse techno, breakbeat, jungle, acid, footwork, and ambient into a singular, highly percussive sonic identity. Growing up in Bari, Dona developed a passion for rhythm and electronic hardware early on. As a drummer in his youth, his deep connection with rhythm became a defining characteristic of his work. He began experimenting with music production using an MPC in the early 2000s—a tool that remains central to his workflow today. His approach to music-making is instinctive and highly physical, often rooted in live jamming sessions and real-time manipulation of hardware, rather than meticulous programming. Basile’s entry into the underground techno and experimental scenes was marked by a series of releases on respected labels such as Crème Organization, Ilian Tape, and Tresor Records. His breakout came with a string of EPs that caught the attention of techno connoisseurs for their fearless blending of styles and lo-fi grit. Over the years, he has cultivated a raw but melodic sound that balances chaos and control, drawing equally from the legacy of 90s rave culture and the textural experimentation of IDM. In April 2025, DJ Plant Texture released his debut EP on the legendary Berlin - based label Tresor, titled Life. This release marked a significant moment in his career, not only for its prestigious platform but for its deeply personal thematic content. The EP explores themes of self-awareness, anxiety, and the emotional weight of transitioning into adulthood. Beyond the studio, Basile also played a central role in his local scene by founding and running EXP Records (R.I.P.), a record store in Bari that became a meeting point for local producers and DJs. This space not only connected people through vinyl but also helped foster a community and exchange of ideas in Southern Italy's underground music culture. The store has had a lasting impact on his artistic perspective, informing both the nostalgic and forward- looking elements of his work. Whether behind the decks or behind his machines, DJ Plant Texture continues to challenge expectations and defy easy categorization. His work is marked by a deep respect for the history of electronic music, filtered through a very personal lens—one shaped by inner struggles, local roots, community, and a constant desire to push forward. As of 2026, he remains a vital force in the European electronic underground, with a growing international following and a reputation for delivering sets and releases that are both cerebral and dancefloor-ready.Their RA profile lists Tresor, Crème Organization, Ilian Tape, Mistress Recordings and 4 more.Recently at Tresor / Globus · often with Developer, Orlando Voorn, none of them here that night

London based Cisco Ferreira, or ‘The Advent’, can be described in many ways: a musician, a pioneer, a sound designer, a steady force, one persistent m*therf*cker, a rebel, an icon, an outsider, a great live artist... Mostly though, The Advent is known for his interpretation of what we call Techno. Ever since young Portuguese Cisco discovered Acid House in the London clubs he frequented, his journey has been about making his mark on the electronic music scene. Or, as he recently put it himself: “I’ve been doing this for quite a few years and I’m not going anywhere.” This sums it up pretty well; you won’t see Ferreira naked, shooting promo videos carrying a dog, or hear him publically worrying about the sincerity of the average EDM jockey. He’s everything about techno you’ve learned to love, without the circus you’ve learned to accept. Fresh out of college, Cisco’s hunger for sound landed him a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios. There he learned about the art of translating feelings to frequencies, while at the same time recording various high profile artists from the world of Rock, Pop, Dance, and Reggae. When acid label ‘Jack Trax’ moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jefferson, and Derrick May. These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his first EPs on R&S and Fragile. In 1994 Ferreira signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno. They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and ‘G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G’, the alias Colin is still using. Nowadays The Advent is a solo project, bombarding crowds around the world with its trademark raw, energetic sound. A sound that grants him yearly slots at festivals as Nature One, Awakenings and Bonusz, as well as regular shows in clubs as Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, Lehmann in Stuttgart, and Madrid’s Fabrik. He hasn’t given up cooperating with likeminded artists though! In 2007 he met Ricardo Rodrigues aka Industrialyzer, in whom he recognised an attitude similar to his own. They are both from Portugal, both self-made, and the both have a clear vision of what techno should sound like. As a duo they’re at least as popular as they are as individual artists, playing sold out shows wherever they go, and steadily creating an impressive combined oeuvre.Their RA profile lists Tortured Records, MB Elektronics, Drumcode, Tresor and 6 more.Last at Tresor / Globus in Jun · often with fka.m4a, Jay Jackson, Lauren Flax, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Fireground is the live electronic project of Angela and Daniele, a Neapolitan duo developing a rhythm-driven approach to techno rooted in musicality and the physical energy of performance. Originally from Naples in Southern Italy, their music channels the rhythmic sensibilities of Mediterranean culture into contemporary club music, combining groove-driven techno, house-rooted harmony and percussive dancefloor energy, a style that reconnects techno with warmth, movement and musical depth. After relocating to Berlin, Fireground became closely connected to the ecosystem surrounding Tresor Records, debuting on the label during its 30th anniversary celebrations and establishing an ongoing relationship with the historic institution. Their trajectory later expanded through releases on the Munich-based imprint Ilian Tape, placing the duo within a generation of artists exploring rhythm-focused approaches to techno. At the core of the project lies a hardware-based live performance where percussion, expressive synthesis and harmonic movement unfold through evolving rhythmic patterns. Occasionally expanding into extended live formats, the performance incorporates piano, opening the music toward deeper and more soulful harmonic exploration. Across clubs and festivals throughout Europe, Fireground have developed a reputation for groove-heavy performances that move fluidly between techno and house contexts while remaining unmistakably alive on the dancefloor.Their RA profile lists Tresor and Ilian Tape.Recently at Tresor / Globus, RSO.BERLIN, Tempelhof Airport · often with Handmade, Alan Oldham, Regal86, none of them here that night
