ABS8LUTE is a French DJ and music activist known for her hypnotic and percussive techno style. She draws from her Caribbean heritage the ability to create a unique multi-layered primitive atmosphere with an irresistible groove that won’t give the dancers any rest. Her influence extends beyond the clubs as she is a strong advocate for the representation of women and minorities in electronic music. She founded the Vénus Club, a feminist collective promoting FLINTA DJs and gives DJ workshops to empower marginalized communities. She is also one of the Artistic Director of forward-thinking Parisian collective Kluster. Her distinctive rhythmic approach has secured her a place on impressive line-ups as well as regular appearances at notorious Berghain.Recently at Berghain, Else, arkaoda Berlin · often with Rill, Binh, Reka Zalan, none of them here that night

Both as a DJ and a producer, Patrick Gräser aka Answer Code Request has honed a hybrid musical approach that stands out in a world of uniform 4/4 techno. Melding pad-driven harmonies, intricate breaks and an industrial sonic palette, Gräser has occupied a unique space within the Ostgut Ton cosmos since debuting on the label in 2012 and becoming a Berghain resident shortly thereafter. His various releases and remixes for Ostgut Ton, MDR, Dolly Deluxe and Monkeytown Records continue to be highly sought after. As a DJ, he has taken his bass- and breaks-heavy techno to clubs and festivals around the globe, while remaining an integral part of the Berlin scene.Their RA profile lists Music Man Records, Ostgut Ton, Delsin, Marcel Dettmann Records and 6 more.Recently at Schwuz, Berghain, RSO.BERLIN · often with ROBUS, SUMME, Tasha, none of them here that night

Looking beyond the realm of 4/4 techno to explore left-field sound design and rhythmic complexity, the Berghain resident’s string of signature solo releases for the club’s Ostgut Ton imprint and Smalltown Supersound have explored the rhythmic functionality of pumping, twisting and constantly evolving modular electronics. These popular releases and live performances have earned Barker widespread acclaim from the underground to the mainstream and everything in-between, both off and on the dancefloor. After an intense, fruitful period of experimentation and conceptual development, Barker released his solo debut EP Debiasing on Ostgut Ton in 2018, containing four hypnotic and kick-less dancefloor experiments based on research into behaviorism and cognitive bias. This was followed by his solo debut album Utility, a playful but intentional musical approach to translating a spectrum of transhumanist ideas, packed into a deeper exploration of the emotive potential of rhythmic ambient electronics and – once again – almost entirely without kick drums. Both releases were received by many as instant classics, helping to define a discrete category of ambient dance music. Utility made numerous Best of 2019 year’s end lists, including Pitchfork, The Quietus, DJ Mag, Resident Advisor and others. It also earned the title of Mixmag’s Album of The Year 2019. As Philip Sherburne wrote in his Pitchfork review: “For anyone who has ever fantasized about dissolving into the dancefloor, Utility is about as close as it gets.” These releases were followed by two limited-edition white label EPs for Ostgut, BARKER001 and BARKER002. In 2023, he released the Unfixed EP on Smalltown Supersound, followed by another limited-edition white label 12" on the label in 2025, Cosmic Microwave / Stochastic Dynamics In Non-Linear Systems. In April 2025, Barker released his second full-length Stochastic Drift. Inspired in part by Euclidean and probabilistic patterns as well as the chaos and uncertainty of the preceding years, it emerged from a place of vulnerability that announced itself in the music's emotional impact. Boomkat celebrated the album as unfolding "like a galaxy-brained afters playlist…Barker's relentless research and development makes his music as fluid and mutable as his palette." In their Best New Music review, Pitchfork's Harry Tafoya described it as "his most dazzling and definitive statement to date." Stochastic Drift was also named Mojo Magazine's #1 Electronic Album of 2025. Whether performing live solo or as part of a group, DJing on his own or B2B, Barker combines bass music, techno, electro, breakbeat, dub and ambient elements that coalesce into a distinctive, future-facing vision. He is one-half of Barker & Baumecker with longtime Panorama Bar resident nd_baumecker, with whom he has released multiple EPs, two albums and dozens of remixes. And his expansive approach to unorthodox musical exploration has led to ongoing live collaborations with the likes of Norwegian saxophonist Bendik Giske, alongside Speedy J, Rødhåd and Sebastian Mullaert in the shapeshifting live improv outfits Stoor, WSNWG and Circle of Live, installations developed with creative computer programmer Kay Sievers / Versio Duo, and remixes for the likes of Martin Gore, Tangerine Dream, JakoJako, and Planetary Assault Systems. It's a perspective also reflected in his curation of the Leisure System label and Berghain club night of the same name, which held the longest residency in Berghain's history. Launched in 2008, with the label following in 2009, Leisure System has since released seminal works by the likes of Dopplereffekt, Objekt, JakoJako, and Visionist, among many others. In addition to his recorded music, live sets, and DJing, Barker is an active instrument designer who combines coding skills with analogue, electric and acoustic instrument construction for his experimental archive and platform Voltek Labs. In the summer of 2020, he contributed a large-scale sound installation, Piano-1, to Berghain’s Studio Berlin art exhibition, featuring a self-playing piano performing generative serial compositions named Attune, which emphasize democratic harmonic relationships between tones. He has also delved deep into constructing his own MIDI-triggered acoustic instruments, including a prepared plate reverb and various percussion instruments, notably used to explore the resonant architecture of Detroit’s empty, abandoned factories with Underground Resistance’s Ray7. In August 2024, Barker collaborated with Kay Sievers / Versio Duo on the Discrete Ensemble installation, at the Neuenationalgalerie in Berlin, built around a set of eight MIDI-controlled mechanical string instruments called Viola-1. In September 2025, he performed alongside Norwegian saxophonist Bendik Giske for Atonal Festival in Berlin, with further live and studio collaborations for the pair on the horizon. Barker’s musical focus continues to be on the peak-time dancefloor potential of ambient music as he works on another album and label. Operating on the periphery of club music, he continues to shift its centre.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Smalltown Supersound, Leisure System, Air Texture and 2 more.Recently at ZENNER, Berghain · often with Steffi, DJ Nobu, Nastia Reigel, none of them here that night

Ryan Elliott has spent the past two decades of his esteemed career effortlessly bridging the gap between different artistic expectations. Growing up as a DJ in Detroit, but coming into his own in Berlin, his sets expand on each city’s styles. A resident at Berghain and Panorama Bar, he refuses to be aligned with just techno or house, instead highlighting their optimal overlaps. And as a producer, remixer, and founder of his own label, Faith Beat, Elliott releases music that is playable but unpredictable, perfectly calibrated for dancefloor impact and enduring enjoyment. No matter what form his musical expression takes, with Elliott listeners always seem to get the best of both worlds. Launched in 2019, Faith Beat is an organic extension of Elliott’s passions as a DJ, producer and voracious record collector. A home for music that is thoughtful and loose, precise yet approachable, Faith Beat is not a one-way street, but an ongoing conversation between Elliott and the crowds he plays for, the producers he loves and the records he buys. As a DJ, Elliott delivers sets that slice energetically across the house and techno divide, a revelatory approach that's infused with a deep respect for his selections. This ethos also manifests in the monthly charts Elliott has published since 2003, insisting on giving a proper platform to whatever he plays. As with all of his efforts, Elliott doesn’t pit one place or style against each other, continuing to pursue a sleek and transportive fusion.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton and Faith Beat.Recently at RSO.BERLIN, Berghain · often with Ogazón, Rene Wise, Annabelle Gaspar, none of them here that night

“I’m Biesmans, Belgian-born, Berlin-based.”
their own biography

I’m Biesmans, Belgian-born, Berlin-based. I make “Heart Groove”: house music that’s supposed to do three things: make you move, make you feel something, and connect you with the people around you. The sound? Warm grooves, analog synths, melodies you’ll remember on the way home. Nothing overly complicated. Just music that works on a dancefloor — the kind that needs a few hours to really take you somewhere. I’ve played some incredible club spaces: Panoramabar, Fabric, Fuse, Dedge. Festival stages: Tomorrowland, Pukkelpop, EXIT, Fusion. And plenty more rooms in between My music’s been released on Running Back, Turbo Recordings, Correspondant, and my own label MUEM Records. Made an album called Trains, Planes and Automobiles, and put together the Watergate 28 compilation with people like Mathew Jonson, Zombies in Miami, Kasper Bjørke, and Shubostar. I’m passionate about synths. Spend way too much time in the studio messing with machines and posting (POVs) about it. That’s how the music gets made: trial, error, and finding sounds that hit right. Currently working on a new album for 2026. Same mission as always: create moments on dancefloors where people lose themselves, feel good, and remember why they love this music in the first place. That’s it. Physical, emotional, social. Everything else is noise.Their RA profile lists Turbo Recordings, Running Back, Watergate Records and Correspondant.Recently at Kater, Berghain, OXI · often with eveava, Fadi Mohem, Fritz Windish, none of them here that night

Carlos Valdes has been a key figure of Amsterdam’s nightlife for well over two decades. His vital contribution to the city’s electronic music scene and LGBTQ+ community as a DJ, promoter, label owner, and all-round inspirator is indisputable. Always on the lookout for new gems to add to his vast house and techno collection, new venues to explore with his illustrious IsBurning nights, and new talent to support, Carlos is consistently pushing the envelope of club culture. His mesmerising sets and endless likeability have made him an in-demand DJ in all corners of the globe. Carlos’ success did not come overnight, but has been underway since 1999, when he bought his first techno record. It’s the culmination of many years of hard work and utter devotion to creating the best possible vibe. As one of the founding fathers of the famous IsBurning nights, he helped lay the groundwork for the Dam’s now thriving LGBTQIA+ club scene. What started as a night with quality dance music for all gender identities at the legendary club Trouw, is now a worldwide phenomenon. Never communicating lineups, but always staging the best in house and techno, IsBurning has set venues ablaze from Munich to London, and from Barcelona to São Paulo. Carlos also co-owns Pamela, one of Amsterdam’s most popular queer bars. As a DJ, Carlos has built a loyal following through his sheer love and extensive knowledge of music. Some worry that his apartment will one day collapse under the weight of his enormous vinyl collection. But luckily for his ever-growing fan base, that hasn’t happened yet. Decades of dance music’s finest cuts come together in spellbinding narratives, keeping dancers on their tippy toes throughout the night, and into the early morning. Whether he’s slaying the floor at Panorama Bar, Blitz, or Bassiani, bringing the heat at Glastonbury, Dekmantel Selectors or Lighthouse Croatia, or creating magical journeys like his 6-hour set at Wildeburg, Carlos Valdes remains a musical force to be reckoned with.Their RA profile lists Studio Soulrock.Last at Berghain in May

“Paramida moved to Berlin in 2010 and has since made an impact to the local club scene with a distinctive and sensualizing approach to music.”

the whole biography
Paramida moved to Berlin in 2010 and has since made an impact to the local club scene with a distinctive and sensualizing approach to music. Her varied sets represent something hopeful, something unusual, something unlikely. A beacon of pleasure and surprise. Blending proto-house to trance, percussive gems with high-energy techno, Italian dream house and irresistible new beat – Paramida is truly committed to digging. The Panorama Bar resident is a confident, talented and occasionally provocative artist in a city whose musical rules are often made to be played by and begging to be broken. While working at OYE Records, she began her life as a DJ between a tireless party scene by night and days immersed in music. In the years since, those same instincts have taken Paramida to far-out places. Her singular thirst for often obscure, always incredible music has lead her to residencies at two of the world's most renowned nightclubs. Already a regular fixture in the booth at Offenbach’s rightfully coveted Robert Johnson, she started her residency at Berghain’s Panorama Bar in 2020. Having impressed on many occasions, whether conducting winningly trippy afternoon excursions through to a number of unpredictable closing sets, extending well beyond sunrise, dancers always share the energy of Paramida’s singular obsession. Outside of dancefloor expectations, Paramida’s recent discoveries and closely-held gems make up the soundtrack of her monthly show on Rinse FM. Paramida’s taste is also the guiding spirit at the heart of Love On The Rocks, the label she founded in 2014. Its catalogue is defined by irresistible, offbeat club anthems and unexpected 12"s adapted from the dustiest corners of outsider dance culture, bringing together elements from nu-disco, trance, acid, deep and progressive house, breaks and ambient music across continents. Many of the unlikely and treasured connections that form the backbone of Love On The Rocks have been established as Paramida has travelled the world, performing at clubs and festivals across Europe as well as Asia, Australia, Central and South America. Devoted to the euphoric potential of nightlife, Paramida is one of dance music’s true characters; a passionate proponent of music, a devoted resident and quite simply, a DJ always worth hearing.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Love On The Rocks and Dimension Of Being Human.Last at Berghain in Aug · often with Giammarco Orsini, Bobby., Simone de Kunovich, none of them here that night
