For this edition, Iptamenos Discos takes over the Hopper floor, bringing a musical journey with all forms of Italo disco and beyond, influenced by artists and sounds from all over the world. Meanwhile, Kater curates the Acid Bogen with a house-focused selection, adding another dimension to the night. Expect sounds and selections you won’t easily experience anywhere else in Berlin.

Alejandro Paz is a DJ and producer from Santiago de Chile. His sets are recognizable for his energetic approach on stage, where he sings and dance, and the selection of music showing the most recent productions of the Latin panorama. Alejandro has done remixes for artists such as Marc Piñol, DJs Pareja and Eurocrats, and he has played in clubs like Fabric (London), Batofar (Paris) and Nitsa (Barcelona), among others. His work includes the single “Callejero” on the Scottish label Huntleys & Palmers, the EP “Free” released by Cómeme, and three tracks “El ritmo del trabajador” “Oye!” and the unique “El House” included in compilations of the same label. Recently he released a second EP on Cómeme called “Inside Job”. Soon there is a new track coming out on Cómeme featuring the Gasoline Various Artists compilation. The history of the DJ & producer duo and couple Local Suicide stretches back over a decade to the year 2008. Since meeting, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela have collaborated together on various projects, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide in Berlin. Local Suicide’s distinctive sound, is an energetic fusion of new wave, EBM, post disco and dark techno that they themselves have given the name technodisco, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene. Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and almost every club the German capital has to offer. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live performance. This hectic schedule has taken them across Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the United States. With solo & collaborative releases with Curses, Theus Mago, Lena Platonos, Hard Ton, The Hidden Cameras, Rodion, Alejandro Paz, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys, Franz Matthews & more on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Multi Culti, Duro, Ombra INTL, Lumière Noire, Eskimo, AEON, Ransom Note & TAU the duo had numerous releases reaching the top 10 iTunes, Beatport & Juno charts and had massive editorial playlist support by Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and Deezer. Born in Brazil, Ludmila began her DJ career in 2009, leaving her mark on the underground scene in Brazil and Latin America. Her vibrant and diverse sound is influenced by Dark Disco, Electro, EBM, Techno, Synth Wave, Indie Electro, and even classics from the 80s, mixing the past with the most recent musical innovations. Ludmila conducts her musical productions through her project Discodrama, reviving the sounds of FM synthesizers with contemporary beats and dark electronic tones. In 2020, Ludmila created the Trevosa channel, a space for artists and enthusiasts to share their sounds and promote their original productions. In 2022, Trevosa evolved into a party based in Berlin, promoting connections with artists from all over the world. A trained jazz keyboard player and professional audio engineer makes for a completely unique meeting of musicianship and sound design. It is the merging of these two elements which gives us the signature sound of Duncan Thomas. Tom has performed under many names, notably, Size 8, TR and with his jazz band the TR trio. Tom emerged with the alias Duncan Thomas this year to create a platform to release quality underground music which rooted itself to the dance floor rather than the jazz bar. It was also an opportunity for Tom to make music for the club, whilst incorporating rich chord progressions and harmonic layers, transferred over skills from his background as a jazz player. The result is an unmistakable sound of ethereal deep grooves with a soulful character which can be recognised throughout his back catalogue. This is perhaps most evident in his live show. Alongside his production Duncan Thomas is relentless as a DJ, and by no means shy behind wheels. He is constantly digging for fresh underground sounds new and old and is often recognised through he extended vinyl only sets.
