Lecken is joining forces with the incredibly talented SLIC Unit crew to create a night of sonic and somatic expansion and community crossover. Across Germany, SLIC Unit is known for turning dance floors into altars of diasporic rhythms, bass weight, and incendiary energy. Their recent Keep Hush appearance catches them at the height of their prowess. They hold it down regularly at Hamburg's Golden Pudel these days, but their real residency is with the communities they keep building, on or off the decks, wherever underrepresented voices need amplification.
Mixing those SLIC juices with Lecken's energy promises a particularly potent concoction. For our last dance of the year, we're presenting a rich program of transatlantic sounds spanning House, UKG, Ballroom, Bounce, Baile Funk, Perreo, Footwork, and Techno. No respite. DANCERS TO THE FRONT!

Amowia is a Berlin-based DJ and co-founder of FADE., a party series for us, by us. Rooted in Ghanaian and German heritage and shaped by Ballroom culture, their sets move between Afro-rooted rhythms and forward-facing club sounds. Afro, Hip Hop and R&B form the foundation, unfolding into House, Ballroom Beats, Breaks, Jersey Club, Techno and Baile. Percussive, direct and intentional, their approach centers tension and release while keeping the dancefloor in constant motion. Thanks to growing up constantly surrounded by Soul, R'n'B, Disco and mostly Southern Rap as well as later years spent working in nightlife, her style is an excellent blend of nostalgic elements and contemporary club music, featuring both heavy hitting and transcendentally groovy sounds. Effortlessly gliding through US-American Club & Bass Music while touching UK Funky & Bass and incorporating drum-heavy tunes from Middle- & South America and the Caribbean, she creates a diverse sound collage just bound to make you move. She is a resident at Golden Pudel Club Hamburg as part of her DJ network SLIC Unit and hosts the monthly all-vinyl show „MUSIC CITY“ on Refuge Worldwide. Oldyungmayn’s identity moves through his work as a current - refracted through rhythm, bass pressure, and affective tone. As a Palestinian-Egyptian DJ and producer, now based in Berlin, he emerged from Dubai’s self-built underground - a place where creative spaces were scarce and dancefloors had to be invented from nothing. Out of this absence, he forged a sound both tactile and elusive: bass-heavy, rhythmically volatile, and charged with emotional dissonance. His DJ sets are kinetic and unpredictable, (un)folding techno’s gravity into percussive experiments, sudden ruptures, and euphoric flashes. He navigates tension and release with precision, channeling energy that feels both intimate and communal, inviting physicality and connection. “Heady, frenetic dynamism rooted in textural depth, combining harsh sonics with heavy club euphoria” is heard in Crack Mix 544 whilst BUTT Mixtape - Insane Gay Asylum Mix brings out his “handsome mixing (on) this bassy, freak-forward techno set.” In productions, Oldyungmayn draws from a wide vocabulary: the serrated textures of industrial metal, the compressed drama of video game sound design, the rhythmic codes of diasporic bass music. These influences collide into something that feels at once personal and speculative - a soundworld where dislocation becomes propulsion. With recent releases on UMAY and Magdalena’s Apathy he continues to explore new terrains of rhythm, texture, and movement. An alumni of the SHAPE+ platform for innovative music, Oldyungmayn continues to expand the edges of his sound. He’s appeared at spaces like CTM, Herrensauna, Säule, FIBER, Whole and Unsound’s Ephemera, transmitting his singular hybrid of density, joy, and controlled chaos. Shaped by years of going to the source—from NYC, Chicago and Detroit to Tokyo and other cities across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia—immersing himself in underground scenes, learning directly from key figures and local communities, and performing on storied dance floors along the way, he has developed an authentic voice as a multidisciplinary artist on and off the floor. As a DJ, he crafts sets that are heavily informed by his background as a dancer: playful and daring, shifting in rhythm and pace across genres while being deeply rooted in queer lineages of house and club culture. An active member of the ballroom, whacking and house dance scenes, he draws on years of shared practice to give their movements and stories space at the center of the night, where they are lived rather than referenced. Influenced by the amounts of CDs her parents would buy to prepare their dance-classes, she would invent her own performances to an overload of different folkloric sounds from around the world, but also Hip-Hop, R&B and Merengue Hip-Rap of the 90s and 00s. So, it comes with no surprise that you can still hear in her selections, how heavily she is influenced by the way the tune makes her move. In her vinyl collection she has a broad range of styles she likes to play, focusing on 70s and 80s Jazz, contemporary Jazz and Jazz-Fusion, Funk, Organic Grooves and vintage -Salsa and -Caribbean music. She has hosted a monthly event at the Mojo Jazz Café in Hamburg and has played at events such as, Fluctoplasma, Feel.Jazz Festival and Reeperbahn Festival. In addition she has supported live acts such as Kassa Overall (US), Alfa Mist (UK) and Mildlife (AUS). Via her club sets she plays us with Baile Funk, Latin Bass, Afrobeats, Perreo, Kuduro, Gqom, DrumCore, Dancehall, Jersey Club and Ballroom mercilessly but lovingly against the wall, challenging all our senses with the sweaty and divers sounds of the diaspora. He has a big heart for gqom and uthayela, with a strong affinity for rough textures, heavy basslines and percussive intensity.
