    the whole biography
The history of the DJ & producer duo and couple Local Suicide stretches back over a decade to the year 2008. Since meeting, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela have collaborated together on various projects, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide in Berlin. Local Suicide’s distinctive sound, is an energetic fusion of new wave, EBM, post disco and dark techno that they themselves have given the name technodisco, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene. Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and almost every club the German capital has to offer. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live performance. This hectic schedule has taken them across Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the United States. With solo & collaborative releases with Curses, Theus Mago, Lena Platonos, Hard Ton, The Hidden Cameras, Rodion, Alejandro Paz, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys, Franz Matthews & more on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Multi Culti, Duro, Ombra INTL, Lumière Noire, Eskimo, AEON, Ransom Note & TAU the duo had numerous releases reaching the top 10 iTunes, Beatport & Juno charts and had massive editorial playlist support by Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and Deezer. Local Suicide has had a stunning amount of press coverage from leading mags like DJ Mag UK/IT/US/LA/ES, Mixmag, FAZE, Groove, TRAX, Time Out, Tsugi, XLR8R & Rolling Stone and has played themselves in Fett & Fett, a series broadcasted on the biggest german national TV station ZDF in which their musical productions were featured extensively as well. In 2021 the powerhouse launched their own label Iptamenos Discos where they recently released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Eros Anikate’ among others. In 2022 the duo also revealed their new live band project Dina Summer with Kalipo with which they released their debut album ‘Rimini’ on Audiolith Records. The LP got praised by German magazines such as Der Spiegel, Musikexpress, Musikwoche, Kulturnews, Sonic Seducer and was featured as album of the week on Sunshine Live & Laut.
Their RA profile lists Eskimo Recordings, PIAS, Darkroom Dubs, My Favorite Robot Records and 6 more.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
These two huge influences along with her international upbringing in Norway, Egypt and Poland and her creative multilingual mindset all shine brightly through her music. 10 years living and working on the famous mediterranean island of Ibiza has seen her involved with some of the biggest promoters in the music industry such as Cocoon Ibiza and Monza. An avid collector and player of all things vinyl, she is also one of the residents and creators of Ibizas most successful weekly open-air party The Zoo Project. Berlin, her second home, exposed her to its raw creativity helping her develop her production skills whilst playing at venues such as Kater Holzig, Sisyphos or Kitkat. Appreciating the fundamentals of raw Chicago and Detroit house music, her trademark style fuses elements of the two smoothly together with the minimalistic, forward thinking deep house that has become synonymous with her sound. Never afraid to stray from her norm and always keen to experiment with something outside of the traditional house/ techno paradigm, her vinyl selection is seductive, laid-back and hypnotic while all the time retaining a driving, motivating rhythm. Karina although best known for her hypnotic performances at intimate venues, has no problem turning it up a notch with electrifying sets at events such as Kazantip Republic Festival (Ukraine) on the main stage in front of thousands of people. Her ability to mix any vinyl from disco to techno has had her smashing dance floors in many exotic destinations from Cape Town (That's What She Said) to Tijuana (Deck 22). Her prestigious residency at Analog Room in Dubai, her K1 release on Chicago based label ‘God Particle’ and release on “Cymawax’ as well as forthcoming music on the NYC imprint 'Absence Seizure', display both her technical production skills and ability to engage with a live audience. Karina's first visit to New York resulted in a collaboration between Ibiza's infamous openair The Zoo Project and Brooklyns finest warehouse parties Blk Market. Several years in a row she flew over to play at different warehouses of New York to share the decks with the likes of Robag Wruhme, Seth Troxler or Daniel Bell just to name a few. Being the first DJ to ever play at legendary Panther Room in New York, Karina has ever since frequently toured North America performing in top notch spots such as Housepitality in San Francisco, Creme de la Creme in Dallas, Smart Bar Chicago, Eaton Hotel in Washington DC. In The Big Apple she's known for her house and techno selection at several venues such as Brooklyn Mirage or Elsewhere to playing disco at smaller Manhattan hangouts like Nublu Classic. The C&K project launched together with NYC native Connie Yin at the end of 2018, had the two artists joining forces to play the final month of its existence at the legendary Panther Room in Williamsburg. Confident in their choices, C&K blend a variety of sounds, experimenting with 4/4 beats and unquantified live minimal arrangements. With the success of their debut C&K 'Behave' EP on Decay Records (vinyl and digital) further releases are in the pipeline as well as planning their own vinyl imprint. Their RA profile lists god particle, Decay Records, Absence Seizure and Cymawax.

Ricardo Rodriguez established several clubs in Berlin from 1994 to 2005, among them the legendary Toaster Club and Casino Berlin, the Mecca of Berlin’s Techno scene. In Clubcommission Berlin e.V. (association for club culture in Berlin) he was a board member for ten years and first Chairman for two years. Frankie Flowerz started Djing in 1984 in Penang, Malaysia where he was born. In 1990 he received an offer to work for a DJ Agency in Switzerland. He stayed on there and played many different Venues from winter resorts such as Lenzerheide, Arosa, Davos, Wengen, Leysin, Laax etc and also many more cities. Frankie got into singing and writing music when he first built his home studio in 1994, in Switzerland . His first stage appearance as a singer was when he joined a jazzfunk band in Chur , later he did some backing keys with them. After an 8 year stay he decided to move to Berlin to pursue his studies in Audio Engineering , which he did in 1998 and soon he released his first ever 12” on Blaou Records. Frankie has since released 1 LP in 2014, ”Boyz & Girlz” under his label Funkhausmusic which he began to run since 2007 .Nov 2019 will see him back again with another LP “Tales form the Living Room” with his 4 piece Band. Stay tuned for Frankie Flowerz & the Band. Being on the Dj circuit for a good 35 years since the middle 80ties, his musical influences vary from 50ties R&B, blues, soul, funk , jazz ,rock and of course electronica, thus his record collection is of such. As a club Dj he spins mostly deephouse laced with some techno while keeping it soulful and funky, dropping original Prince (his huge musical idol) tracks, funk jams and disco which fit in on the fly, giving his listeners a taste of nostalgia & different rhythms , exploring boundaries, keeping it open , somewhat of an oldschool/newschool vibe. ..that’s pretty much his signature. . You can hear him Djing every Monday night during his weekly Electric Monday parties in Berlin @the KitKat Club. In 2007 Frankie began teaching the art of vinyl Djing @the Noisy Academy in Berlin and was the first to incorporate this with Electronic Music Production courses there. After 10 years , he left to concentrate more on his own Production & Dj School in his studio. Since 2011 , Frankie and Ricardo Rodriguez have been running their weekly Monday night party , Electric Monday, at various venues in Berlin. Originally based in the Roter Salon, Frankie & Ricardo started to play every Monday since 2009 , rotating with each other, sticking to their respective styles and soon enough, they generated a crowd which began to party on a Monday. As things progressed , they moved to Tresor in 2011 establishing the Mondays there, transforming a dead closed evening into an extension of the weekend. Come November 2014 and Electric Monday moved to KitKat, the club of their choice, where the nights there are nothing less but memorable and unique, not to mention diversely unlimited. Electric Monday has since expanded by incorporating local and international Guest Djs and also International Venues, a label for their Artists and merchandising such as T-Shirts. The journey continues.
Their RA profile lists Om Records, Crosstown Rebels, Moodmusic, Lebensfreude Records and 2 more.
