Raised by the iconic Salon des Amateurs club in Düsseldorf and influenced by late 90's Ambient, Trance and Techno crates, Trancesetters of Westphalia are mostly known for their unique live-set journeys and vinyl only sets. With their Debut EP "Pulse Of The Trees EP" on Junction Forest run by south-korean based artist S.O.N.S they entered the zone and grew a bigger reputation around the Forest Trance and Psychedelic Techno Circle. Deep mystic grooves and tribalistic rhythms define their psychedelic signature style within their experimental and unconventional approach to electronic dance music. As Residents of Salon des Ameteurs they planted another seed with their on-going event series „Symbiotic“ taking place at various venues, aiming to explore a bigger spectrum of experimental and transcending electronic music.Last at Sameheads in May · often with 2D1G, Adelheid, Die Anstalt, none of them here on Friday

““I’m a little bit of a perfectionist – this has turned out both good and bad for me.”

“I’m a little bit of a perfectionist – this has turned out both good and bad for me. Sometimes, I can get lost in the details. When it feels like it’s in my power to make a production better, I get the urge to do whatever it takes. And take as long as is needed. I want to make it top quality.” With regular appearances in a many of legendary Berlin locales, from Club der Visionaere, which would eventually host his marathon Meltdown nights, regular appearances at Sisyphos and Kater Blau, to spots at Tresor, Panorama Bar, and the late, beloved Bar25, the Colombian DJ and producer DAVID DELGADO has confidently established himself in the upper level of the German capital’s underground firmament. Boasting a sound both dark and complicated, Delgado’s work flaunts an elasticity which separates from his contemporaries, emphasizing expertly manipulated “jazzy” drum samples behind minor-key washes and ambient chatter. Benefitting from his time as an assistant engineer in London’s top recording studios, he has worked alongside producers such as Chris Potter, Simon Duffy, Max Hayes and Adrian Hall. This interest in the details of sound dates back to his earliest musical fandom. “I was in my grandmother’s place — I must have been about seven — and my older cousin, who I really looked up to, came up to me with a copy of Michael Jackson’s Bad and said, ‘Hey, listen to this.’ I was immediately blown away, the way the music is so funky and tight, tech-y and percussive. It’s magical. His influence on my music is always present.” From Jackson, it was onto hip-hop — which wasn’t easy to track down, in Bogota back in the 90's. Then funk music and jazz, pervasive influences to this day. “I’m a big Miles Davis fan. And I’m a huge fan of Buddy Rich, whom I discovered digging in second hand stores after I followed a high-school girlfriend to New York. I would go to all the clubs with a fake I.D. I knew I could do what the DJ’s were doing, so I decided to spend all my savings on a couple of turntables and a few records. I started digging the house sound — Timo Maas’ remix of Azzido Da Bass’ Dooms Night would make me crazy, as well as Erick Morillo’s early Subliminal Records sound. I haven’t stopped since.” He made it to Manchester, then London (and further), developing his touch. Delgado also found he was being greeted with increasing enthusiasm in Berlin. A last-minute cancellation by DJ T at Club der Visionaere led to the offer of a two-hour slot at the club. He flew in. It was euphoric, never-ending, stretching from 4am until afternoon. By the end of the night, the club had adopted him, and he would soon adopt Berlin, offered a regular night -- Meltdown -- at Club der Visionaere. Soon he would be recording for Tom Clark’s lauded Highgrade label, as well as joining their booking agency. These days, Delgado is producing and remixing a lot, often with his friends and contemporaries Mihai Popoviciu and Argenis Brito, amongst others. As for his releases, he takes his time to perfect them until the music meets his standards. The newer work is dryer, more minimal, its jazziness increasingly improvisational, with artfully manipulated chords, and baselines often sampled from rare jazz records punctuated by the swell of mysterious orchestra stabs. The mood is suspended, an off-kilter swamp-like haze. His musical versatility and impeccable mixing skills, the flow of the classic and the new, allow him a canny adaptability, from a spacey early afternoon set at Club der Visionaere to the peak of Panorama Bar closing set. What’s next? His own label, Live shows and more musical expansion. “Why do I make music? The truth is, it’s not entirely obvious to me. But throughout my life music is the one thing that has never lost my attention.”Their RA profile lists Sender Records, Metroline Limited, Highgrade Records, Siteholder Uncut and 6 more.Recently at Club der Visionaere, Golden Gate, Kater · often with Annina, Maik Yells, none of them here on Friday

Arriving in Berlin in 2013 from Melbourne, Australia, as a young music lover always determined to stay until the end of the party, it's no surprise that Bec aka DJ ZBB ended up behind the decks herself. She quickly fell in love with vinyl and the house and techno sounds of the 90s and 00s. Her collection spans old-school tech house, deep house, progressive house and electro, with minimal and dub techno influences. A regular at staple Berlin locations like Sisyphos, Club der Visionaere, and Hoppetosse, she has also made international appearances in cities like New York, Barcelona, Melbourne, Buenos Aires, Vienna and Prague. In 2018, Bec co-founded Un:seen, an intersectional dance music collective with which she facilitates workshops, and hosts a monthly show on Cashmere Radio. Ever active, she's also behind the underground party series Equarium and also hosts her own nights at Klunkerkranich.Recently at Hoppetosse, Kater, Renate · often with EXTRAEXTRA, HOPPER, Steve Challier, none of them here on Friday

weird - deep - genre - bending - house - muisc - for - you- and - me...... resident at apogee presents... regular at fabric and tief owner of N.o.N MUSIC The Pushamann What's the connection between hairdressing and electronic music? “None!”, you might think... Well, think again. The Pushamann is the missing link between these two creative industries, injecting just as much flair and panache into his DJ sets as he does when whipping up his latest creation in the salon. The Pushamann is 31-year-old Charles Kerr, a man who has become a favourite at fabric, making regular appearances at the seminal club since 2008. During a career spanning 10 years Kerr has also set up his own label NoN Music, landed his own show on Rinse FM and has several releases under his belt. His penchant for all things 4/4 means he provides a diverse, though cohesive, performance wherever he plays, merging traditional house grooves, nu disco, deep techno and venturing into leftfield territory when the situation allows. There is no preference with genres, “If I like it, I'll play it,” he says. It's as simple as that. Over the years, the hairdresser has proven time and again that he is a cut above many of his peers when it comes to connecting with his audience and working up dancefloors into a frenzy. Inspirations range from US and UK garage to funk, soul and disco while UK titans such as Craig Richards and Terry Francis have also fueled The Pushamann's love for music – in fact, the latter of the two was responsible for his big break. Terry Francis booked The Pushamann to play at fabric six years ago and he's been a constant fixture ever since, playing at the club every three months. Despite this dream residency and its fringe benefits he's continued to work hard and has never been complacent, knowing full well that the music business is a fickle one and the only way to ensure longevity in one's career is to maintain a consistency high work ethic. The Pushamann's dedication to his night-time career has seen him play at venues such as Turnmills (RIP), Corsica Studios, Basing House, Cafe 1001 and Building Six to more intimate locations such as the infamous Star of Bethnal Green and Rolling Stock. While recent overseas gigs include an appearance at Berlin's Kater Holzig. In the process of building a long-lasting career, he has invested all his spare time and energy into maintining his club night, Nature or Nurture, where he's the mane attraction along with Terry Francis. This event has led to the birth of an offshoot label, which he cites as representing “real house sounds for real house heads”. Artists including Lewis Ryder, Marc Ashkan, Zeitgeist and Mitch Davis have all released on the label, as well as Kerr himself. His own productions reflecting the energy and dexterity he displays in his DJ sets; with sleazy, deep and sensual grooves built for the dancefloor. As 2014 gets into full swing, Kerr looks to the future with an assured focus on maintaining the high level he has already achieved. More appearances at fabric are already booked in for his ever popular NoN Music takeovers, plus gigs overseas including bookings in the ever fertile German capital, Berlin where he'll be playing at The Chalet club. This year will also see a renewed focus on production, with an EP in collaboration with his good friend Alexander Wall due for release via NoN very soon, along with many other studio projects penciled in for this year. With a ten-year-long career already behind him, The Pushamann has the experience and knowledge to continue marching on to the very top. You can rest assured that he's hair to stay!Their RA profile lists Electric Sheep, Bigger Deer Recordings and N.o.N Music.Recently at Golden Gate, migas, a listening bar, Kater · often with Maik Yells, Mu dB, Ian Blevins, none of them here on Friday
