Emotional dance music has always lived in Berlin.
You can hear the city's grit in the music, made by a whole underground of international artists who never defaulted to techno or trance.
But that community has stayed confined to the internet, boxed out by an industry that keeps investing in the genres that already built this city's reputation.
Inspired by the ethos of emo and punk shows, TOSKA aims to bring back a sense of community and emotional depth that has been lost in the rapid commercialisation of dance music.
Expect a unique lineup of artists with a wide sonic palette spanning House, UK Garage, Breakbeat and Trance tunes you wouldn't hear in this city otherwise.

dj poolboi is the moniker of Austin Texas’ resident Adam Ansley. In 2017 Ansley started quietly releasing lo-fi house music under the moniker as a side project. An upload of his track “we can be happy on the popular EELF Youtube channel began to pick up viral tracktion and attention. Channelling his own struggles Ansley crafted a unique form of electronic music creating emotional melodic house and instrumental songs mixing elation and nostalgia with melancholy. Residing in the same vein of underground house as Ross From Friends and Baltra while building on the experimental dance music of trailblazers such as Radiohead, Four Tet, Caribou and Jamie XX his music found its own niche taking flight online. With a strong visual presence from his many music videos, poolboi has quickly amassed almost 100k subscribers on Youtube. With over 50 million streams to date the artist began landing coveted opening gigs across North America. The artists debut LP “it’s good to hear your voice” came out in March of 2020. Connecting with audiences for its calming aesthetic during the intense global panic at the start of pandemic the album came out on Berlin based label Majestic Casual. An official remix for Moby followed and an EP for the trendsetting underground house focused UK label Shall Not Fade. The artist has now released three lead up singles from his upcoming sophomore album. Showcasing a growth in sound working with featured artists from around the globe exploring indie electronic crossover territory with Canadian bedroom pop artist FLOOR CRY on “motions”, South Korea’s Su Lee on “i don’t really mind”. The artist has now released a second EP on Shall Not Fade and announces his sophomore LP with an exciting international array of collaborators and features titled “stay a little while longer” out March 4th 2022 with his debut European tour following. Ranging from underground Afrobeats of Beijing, the rooftops of Ulaanbaatar, and the raw energy of Lisbon Funk, she weaves a continentally-inspired groove.
