Denise Rabe´s experience in the Berlin techno scene as a booker, radio host, promoter and dj since she relocated to German capital drawn by the possibility of a life in music, is reflected in the pragmatic, grounded artist she became and the unique, original voice she's developed as a producer. Her approach and work ethic can be seen expressed on every release she's done under her label, Rabe, where her music is matched with an equal amount of care, thought and work, in the vessels that contain it, within a coherent aesthetic and vision that informs music, artwork and presentation equally. This has allowed her to recruit the artist who´s work resonates with her sensibility and can be heard in the remixes Rrose, Shxcxchcxsh, Headless Horseman, among others, have done for her releases on her and other labels. Imprints such as Mutewax, who released her first 12" in 2015, ARTS where she quickly became one of the label´s staples and Stroboscopic Artifacts where she published "Manifesto" in 2019, are clear reference points that describe her career and its development. Rabe’s particular inclination to sparse industrial soundscapes, gothic aesthetics, driven grooves under hooks that hypnotize as much as they distinguish, have propelled her 10 year career across stages all over the US, Asia and Europe, as well as the clubs that represent the apex of techno world wide such as Berghain and Tresor.Their RA profile lists Soma Records, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Illegal Alien Records, Diffuse Reality and 6 more.Recently at Tresor / Globus, Renate, Berghain · often with GLOBUS, TRESOR, Franziska Berns, none of them here on Saturday

His roots are in between dust of sand and waves of salt water. Ignez grew up near the coast of The Netherlands where hypnotizing waves and infinitive dunes shaped his sound. He fled the conservative world by sketching his own reality with these elements of nature. This became inextricably linked within his consciousness and reflects back into his music today, bringing a tight yet indefinable techno sound. He has shaped his own path through his imprint, Somov Records, where he unveiled his distinctive sound and artistic vision for the first time. In addition to his own imprint, he has made an indelible impact on influential labels such as Token and SK_eleven, enchanting audiences worldwide with mesmerizing releases. Notably, Ignez has collaborated with Rødhåd. Together, they have created two EPs that showcase their unique musical synergy. In his DJ sets, Ignez transports the audience into a mesmerizing sonic journey, captivating their senses and lifting the dancefloor to a higher state of being and a collective oceanic feeling. His driving, hypnotic, and minimalistic approach pulls listeners into a magnetic trance, where the pulsating rhythms and ethereal melodies create an immersive sonic experience. His residency at the esteemed underground Eerste Communie has been the cornerstone of his development as a DJ, fostering experience that has grown with him from a young age. From intimate club settings to renowned festivals, his sets evoke a transformative experience, inviting listeners to embark on a sonic odyssey and dive into the depths of his sonic universe.Their RA profile lists Token, SK_eleven, SEELEN., WSNWG and 2 more.Recently at Prince Charles, Berghain, Else · often with ROBUS, SUMME, Kim She, none of them here on Saturday

Kwartz is the stage name of Mario Campos, born in Madrid in 1989 and now based in Berlin. In late 2011 and after publishing several EP’s in different international labels, Kwartz's productions began to draw the attention of the leading names in the international scene, so in 2013 Exium released a split EP with him called Fenomen, which was his first release on vinyl. In late 2013 Kwartz joined PoleGroup and became part of the booking roster of the label commanded by Oscar Mulero, where he began to release his works regularly. In addition to PoleGroup, his tracks have appeared in several of the most important international labels, such as 47 (Tommy Four Seven’s label), Mord Records, Semantica, Horo or Warm Up Recordings. 2016 brings the launch of his own label: Order&Devotion, where he will release those of his works which move between dark atmospheres and deep and visceral sounds, all surrounded by rhythms designed for the dance floor. Stemming from Lecce Massimilano Pagliara has been based in Berlin for several years where he's been one of the main forces behind recombining the city's hardboiled techno scene with an often overlooked sensibility for the soft and the tender. Call it underground disco passion. Massi describes his style as an eclectic mix of house, disco, electro and techno – one may call it current-yet-classic. DJing has since led to production. These days Massi lets his obsession with analog synths run wild – usually he's holed up in his apartment studio, working on his latest productions. Massimilano's last and sophomore album, ‘With One Another’ (LARJ, 2014), was about celebrating the joy of human encounters and in parts seemed like a big get-together with like-minded artists and friends. The record quickly hit the number one spot in Groove magazine's album chart – and its creator hit the road. Besides his busy DJ schedule and far from the usual club circuit routines, the Panorama Bar resident dedicated himself to intense travelling and exploring the world anew. ‘Feel Live’, Massimiliano's third full-length endeavour was recorded in several intimate, sometimes improvised studio settings between Los Angeles, Portland, and Massimiliano's homebase in Berlin as well as at airports and on intercontinental flights high up in the sky – Massi's most playful and imaginative work to date. It's as emotional as sensual, as vibrant as the first ray of light after a thunderstorm has cleared the air.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton, Balihu, Meakusma, Live At Robert Johnson and 6 more.Recently at Berghain, KREUZWERK · often with Boris, cotton, Quelza, none of them here on Saturday
“Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly. Others take years, even decades, to make their way—but those are the ones who make the most impact, thanks to a lifetime of accumulated musical wisdom. Mike Servito is a prime example of the latter. His career is one that’s defined by a slow and steady rise to upper ranks of the deejaying realm—and along the way, he’s perfected a jacking style that equal parts house, acid and techno, a sound that pays homage to the past while being very much of-the-moment. A Detroit-area native, Servito got his early education by tuning into the Electrifying Mojo and the Wizard (Jeff Mill’s radio moniker). By the early ’90s, Servito was primed to try his hand at the deejaying arts, “I was just kind of cocky about it,” he says. “I knew I could do it.” And he was right—in the DJ hotbed of Detroit, internalizing knowledge gleamed from the likes of Mike Huckaby and Claude Young, he kept working at it until he established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Motor City circuit, eventually becoming a member in good standing with the inner circle of Ghostly International. But Servito felt the need for a change from the sometimes insular environment of Detroit. By the late ’00s, he was living in NYC with no real game plan in place. As it turned out, he didn’t really need one—he soon fell in with the city’s premier techno party, The Bunker, becoming one of its mainstay residents. Around the same time, he was beginning to make his presence known on a global scale, packing dance floors with gigs around the States and around the world. But it was a hometown festival snub in 2014 that really got things going. Servito had played Movement once before, in 2011. “And between then and 2014,” he recalls, “I had been playing so many Bunker parties, playing so many great gigs and my profile was rising—so I was sure they would book me again.” The invite never came. Instead, he booked himself at every Movement after-party he could, one of which was the annual No Way Back, a legendary throw down hosted by The Bunker New York and Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions label. The set, a riotously sweaty bleeps-and-beats affair, was recorded for posterity; unexpectedly but deservedly, it garnered a nod as the year’s No 1 online Mix of the Year on Resident Advisor. That was the spark that set Servito’s career aflame, the push that took him to the top. Since then, he’s cemented his status as one of the most respected spinners around, regularly manning the decks at such hallowed halls as Berlin’s Panorama Bar, London’s XOYO and Tokyo’s Contact, not to mention the world’s best festivals—including, of course Movement. And to this day, his approach to deejaying is refreshingly simple: “I really don’t think about it,” he says, “When I’m playing, I just dive in, and I’m OK.” He’s far more than okay—he’s one of the best around.Techno on 7, Acid on 5, House on 5 and Acid House on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on The Bunker New York (2) and Interdimensional Transmissions (1); their RA profile also lists Firehouse and Honey Soundsystem. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at KREUZWERK, Tresor / Globus, Berghain · often with Shaun J.
