With a deep passion for music and over a decade honing their sound, performing under the Banoffee Pies moniker and their own alias, they present an open and versatile approach to DJing. Focused on mood over genre, moving freely across sounds and tempos. Pulling the thread between dub, broken beat, outsider dance, and conventional club music, pushing style bending party sets and selective potions. Exploring and sharing the crossovers of drum focused UK rooted sounds, Post Dubstep, bass hybrids, and left of centre house & techno. The ethos of the BPR label project reflects this same approach that does not tether itself to one sound, clear from the output of 12” compilations which span barriers across a number of series and sub labels. Fluid, unpredictable, and wired with precision, Rhyw’s music evolves as it defies expectation. Releasing primarily on Fever AM, the imprint he runs with Mor Elian, as well as on Voam and Modeselektor’s SSPB, Rhyw fuses strains of ultra-modern techno and broken beat: eyes-down minimal charged with modular sass, choppy kicks tangled with rolling grooves, sharp design cutting through earthy subs. His amphibious sound slips into otherworldly spaces while never leaving the dance floor. Rhyw turned heads with ‘Biggest Bully,’ leading to sets at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, Boiler Room Tokyo, and tours across Asia and the US. A Rinse FM resident with Mor Elian for the Fever AM show, he’s also contributed mixes to Dekmantel, FACT, Mixmag, and BBC6. His sets balance intricacy and impact - alien, hypnotic, and shapeshifting. Formella is a London-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer moving across the full spectrum of bass-driven club music. Her sets are weighty yet spacious, connecting dubstep, halftime, psychedelic drum & bass, jungle and textural techno through a shared focus on low-end physicality, rhythmic detail and space. Rather than conforming to fixed genres, she builds fluid, narrative-driven sets guided by intuition and contrast. This sensibility was shaped during three years at OYE Records, where deep, cross-genre digging became second nature and continues to inform her selection practice. As a member of Femme Bass Mafia, Formella combines performance with technical education and community-led formats. She has facilitated DJ workshops internationally and led an Ableton production workshop at Amsterdam's ADE. Her sets have resonated at Ankali, Thekla, La Machine, playing for events such as Deep Medi, Keep Hush, Outlook Festival and more across Europe and India. Deeply connected to soundsystem culture and the materiality of sound, she co-built and co-owns a custom sound system with Femme Bass Mafia, an extension of her focus on bass as something felt as much as heard. Her residency Soundbathing on Shella Radio explores slower and more spacious frequencies, feeding back into club sets that move between pressure, pace and atmosphere. Alongside her club work, she develops an environmental sound practice through field recording, landscape acoustics and spatial listening, bringing these approaches into both performance and workshop contexts. This research expands her work beyond the dancefloor into curated, sound-led environments.
