Who they are
“When Carly Zeng DJs, it’s highly unlikely she’ll do the same thing twice.”
their own biography
the whole biography
When Carly Zeng DJs, it’s highly unlikely she’ll do the same thing twice. Chinese-born and now Berlin-based, she has formed quite the community in her chosen city through her party, Dissident, which fosters a nurturing approach to music discovery. Her long love affair with vinyl-focused digging is no secret. And the ripple effects of such veracious collecting can be heard in the way she weaves together the many genres that she likes–be it a trippy tribal or prog track with a weird structure or an off-kilter sound effect in a punchy house tune – she’s forever on the lookout for tracks with that little extra spice. Carly’s entry point into dance music in NYC, led her into smaller parties, DIY spaces and warehouse raves and the community spirit she found there is something she still carries with her today. A known name within Berlin’s queer music scene, she is regularly billed at parties such as Cocktail D’Amore and Body Language. Whether as a DJ, community organizer or dancer on the floor, Carly is staunchly attentive to her role within the dance music ecosystem and how to best curate a warming experience for everyone involved. No drops, no flash — just vibe. Mille plays sets that take their time: dubby, warm, and rolling, blending house with trippy elements and disco details. Her vinyl selection and mixing blur genre boundaries, focusing on mood and continuity rather than peak-time spectacle. She is a member of Power Suff Girls, Hamburg’s ILL Crew, and the Planet Pluto Afterhour collective, with a deep-rooted connection to music and rave culture. - Whether she's behind the decks or curating events, her love for music and commitment to fostering connections shine through in every endeavor.Recently at Renate · often with DJ Kareless, Cunt Cobain, Bleeding Thumbs *LIVE, none of them here on Friday

Vanaenae's great love is house music in all its variations, groovy with vocals, especially from the 90s. With various Leipzig projects in the past (Music Of Color) as well as the present (G-Edit, Sunday Love Affair), she strives to shape club culture sustainably for BIPoC and FLINTA*. Vanaenae isn't interested in rigid genres; her music instead serves as bridge between various house subgenres, paying homage to classics and second-hand gems while incorporating contemporary releases.Recently at Pastiche, Paloma, Kater · often with HOPPER, ACID BOGEN, EXTRA, none of them here on Friday
