Inspired by biology, physics, and elemental forces, exuvia’s soundscapes reflect the structural parallels between organic life and technological systems. Built on tension and controlled progression, the sound balances atmospheric depth with physical intensity. While often immersive and introspective, it can shift into forceful and cathartic territory, maintaining a constant equilibrium between contemplation and collective euphoria. The literal meaning of exuvia (a shed skin) serves as the conceptual foundation for both the artist and the label. Bonner is the pioneering force behind the infamous LGBTQ+ party Shoot Your Shot - a party which has helped champion leftfield dance and electronic music in Glasgow. The parties are joyous, captivating affairs which always leave revellers with a story or two to tell. Smoky rooms, dimly lit, become the backdrop to a whirlwind extravaganza as Bonner commands dancers through the night with long free flowing mixing. Euphoric highs are paired alongside delicate poignant selections reminiscent of the collective escapism and abandonment they seek to find for themselves upon the dance floor. None of this has come without hard work. Bonner has been a prominent presence amidst the Scottish club scene for many years, working doors, promoting parties and hustling fearlessly for a better, more connected scene and the inclusion of those who seek to find comfort in the same music and escapism that they love. As the visionary behind Neukölln’s genre-fluid party series LOVESHACK, resident artist at Hamburg’s iconic Queerpool and a member of the EBM/Darkwave label Crave Tapes, Vaux is firmly rooted in the queer underground and has carved a reputation as one of its most versatile and exciting emerging talents. After a decade spent twirling across Berlin’s dancefloors, collecting music and refining his taste, he is now making waves internationally , with appearances on HÖR and at renowned clubs like KHIDI, Tbilisi and Le Sucre, Lyon. Never one to resist a touch of drama and nostalgia, he effortlessly blends dark and sultry genres like Synthwave, EBM and Electro with brighter shades of Italo, House and Disco, crafting a signature sound that is eclectic, sensual, and vocal-driven. In 2025 he collaborated with Italian-born producer Leonardo Di Fiore on their cinematic debut EP “Changing Colors” , blending Vaux’ powerful vocals with dreamy synths, raw emotion and 80s nostalgia.
