the whole biography
"Dr.Waumiau" is a DJ, photographer and author based in Berlin. His musical journey began long before his current sound, starting with self-released mashup projects and genre-blending DJ sets at a time when musical openness wasn’t a buzzword yet. After several years away from the DJ booth — spent working in photography, writing and editorial projects — he returned to the decks in 2025 by conscious choice. Not as a restart, but as a continuation with sharpened awareness for spaces, dynamics and what truly carries a crowd through the night. Musically, Dr.Waumiau moves between Trance, Hard Trance, Hard Groove and bouncy techno. His sets are energetic, melodic and playful, prioritizing flow over formulas and shared moments over self-promotion. Serious euphoria matters more to him than technical display. Sometimes, he also slows things down with tech house and more familiar groove-based sounds. As a former member of the Berlin-based collective Stromausfall, he was also involved in shaping community-driven events where safe space, awareness and joy on the dancefloor are foundational rather than optional. Since May 2026, he has been a resident DJ and proud member of NOXYS Berlin. Dr.Waumiau’s signature remains clear: driving, emotional and dancefloor-oriented — with a subtle wink and no fear of feeling too much. Appointments available on selected dancefloors.Recently at ://about blank, Nina Bar, Space Meduza Bar · often with Armaville, F O R E S I G H T, OnlyWithYou, none of them here that night

As one half of the duo “Frequenzstörung” (frequency disruption), he started his DJ journey in spring 2025 and has since played at events such as Mystic Creatures Festival in Poland and the Day of Club Culture at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. In his performances he leans into contrasts: tightly mixed bounce rhythms that erupt into soaring, melodic trance passages, sudden left turns that trigger a “what just happened?” reaction, and playful details that reward dancers who stay locked in from start to finish. Whether he is building long, floating transitions in the early hours or pushing the system into full-throttle mode at peak time, FAballert aims to turn the floor into a space of raw energy and dreamlike, weightless vibes, always searching for new combinations of genres rather than repeating the obvious.Recently at Nina Bar, Space Meduza Bar, Humboldthain Club · often with F O R E S I G H T, Armaville, @5kyy, none of them here that night
