And a growing number of people, wanting more from techno than formulaic entertainment and a soundtrack to dance to, are connecting with his particular vision and peculiar sound. This might be because Refracted´s music feels as fundamentally human as it sounds otherworldly. It is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily-labeled sound. It is dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a neural, sub epidermal level, while moving and evolving soundscapes acquire a tactile, understated physicality. Paramount examples of this can be found on releases on Refracted's own Mind Express label, and on celebrated labels like Canadian ambient/deep-techno imprint Silent Season and Pole Group, his path unravelling further, a mind set on favoring unflinching quality over quantity. The dynamics created by this yearning to displace us from space and self, while rooted in a elemental, naturalistic approach, which catalyzes inner self discovery, are also at the foundation of his DJing. Spiritual, almost meditative, his sets possess a kinetic energy as well, which is a clear indication of a DJ who knows the fundamental role of dancing as part of the ritual. He wants to take us somewhere, the “where” being of our own choosing, the trail never being the most travelled.
Their RA profile lists Semantica Records, Silent Season, PoleGroup Recordings, UTCH Records and 6 more.

“Few artists move as fluidly between club culture, sound research and practice as Sarah Wreath.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Few artists move as fluidly between club culture, sound research and practice as Sarah Wreath. With over two decades spent collecting electronic music and a DJ practice, her relationship with sound is the result of long, patient craftsmanship - rooted in vinyl, deep listening, and an intuitive understanding of atmosphere and flow. Sarah’s work resists fixed categories. Her sets and productions unfold as immersive journeys, navigating a wide spectrum of tempos and textures, from ambient and tribal rhythms to techno infused with a distinctly psychedelic charge. Regardless of form, her music is guided by a sensitivity to frequency, space, and the body’s response to sound. Through live sets, sound baths, and curated gatherings, she consistently explores sound as a connective force - capable of fostering introspection and collective experience. After dedicating her time to studying sound engineering, in 2024 Sarah released her debut LP Integration on the renowned label The Bunker New York, underscoring her commitment to immersive rhythm and sonic exploration. This path led to her collaboration on Sandwell District’s album End Beginnings, placing her within the current vanguard of experimental techno while continuing to explore sound as a tool for connection and transformation.

Growing up in late 90s and early 00s Dublin, Jay Galligan’s surefire instinct for catching a mood and manipulating grooves is no happy accident. A talented musician in his own right, he evolved from guitar and grunge fuelled Indie shoegaze bands to a purveyor of full throttle Techno as waves of new mutant music ushered in a new era. As a whole generation of ‘My Bloody Valentine’ fans started to listen to Detroit Techno. He found himself in the thick of Dublin’s movement: holding a residency at the legendary club ‘Electric City’ and his own night ‘Test’ for over 10 years. No stranger to the dynamics of the dancefloor – he has played many times alongside the likes of Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Ben Klock, Surgeon, Dopplereffekt & Regis. At a time when the Irish Techno scene was incredibly organic with a strong community vibe. These days, Bristol is his home where he has turned his musical attention to producing finely crafted radio shows.
  • Síoda Rua

Galway, Ireland · 5 bookings since Aug 2025

“Síoda Rua is an Irish DJ deeply connected to music since childhood.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Síoda Rua is an Irish DJ deeply connected to music since childhood. Coming from a music-loving family, she grew up playing the Irish flute before discovering piano and guitar during her teenage years. Her encounter with electronic music at the age of 14 marked a turning point, awakening in her a fascination for this rich and infinite sound universe. Specializing in the art of mixing vinyl, she delivers sets that navigate between house and techno, adapting to the atmosphere and energy of each event. Although she loves exploring a wide variety of genres, she is particularly drawn to deep sounds: liquid textures, mesmerizing atmospheres, minimalist percussion, and rhythmic patterns. Her performances transform into captivating sonic journeys where every detail matters. She draws her energy from the connection with the crowd to create a shared experience where music becomes a universal language. Passionate about connecting with people through sound, she loves immersing herself in the moment and letting the music speak for itself.
