Ash Roy’s illustrious twenty year career has seen him perform around the world, including Germany, Spain, Hungary, India, Sweden, Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Denmark, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bahrain and more! Today he’s one of the most revered acts in India’s underground dance music scene and is constantly touring across the country and beyond playing at the best festivals and clubs around, pulling in hoards of fans everywhere he goes. Ash was a founder of the immensely popular electronica band Jalebee Cartel. He also owns the rapidly growing underground dance music record label - Soupherb Records. As an individual producer and a DJ, Ash’s style moves through genres that range from minimal-techno to techno. Other than homegrown label Soupherb, Ash Roy’s music has been released on various other prestigious labels such as Trapez Ltd., Monique Musique, Tulipa recordings, Creepy Fingers, Patent Skillz, Sensum Digital, Gain records, Tialoc records, Shinocs music, Ballroom, Evil Flow, 5D records and more. Ash Roy has a bunch of awards to his credit including MyFav India's 'Best Techno DJ' for the year 2014, VH1 Sound Nation's 'Best Electronic DJ' and ‘Producer of the Year’ at MyFav awards 2015 and 2016. He’s shared headliner space with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Modeselektor and Carl Cox, played with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sasha, Cari Lekebusch, Fergie, Nic Fanciulli, Ambivalent and Kasey and many more. Cosmik’s home base now is the techno capital of the world Berlin.Cosmik's exploration into techno began ever since Berlin became his second home and in a short span of time he's managed to enthrall audiences with meticulously carved mixes and a wonderful vibe. He has produced & released his brand of techno music under labels like Soupherb Records & Patent Skillz Records. He has opened for Claptone.Shared stages with Artists like Ash Roy, Breger,Calm Chor,Dj Lion,Markus Klee, Minitech Project,Kiki,Kaiser Souzai,Kotellet & Zadak,Kiki,Kollektiv Ost,Skelesys,Umami and many more. Cosmik has also won the remix contest on Beatport for Dj Lion’s track Robosapiens released on Patent Skillz. Early 2013, Folic State was signed to one of India’s top record label - SoupHerb Records, an imprint by underground music’s biggest champions, techno-lads Ash Roy & Ashvin Mani Sharma, which led to the release of his debut EP ‘The Vulgar Story’ in 2014. 2015 saw him craft two stellar EPs, ‘Spooky Town’ on Occultech Recordings, followed by ‘Deep Soul’ on Buena Onda Records, which are a testament to his quest to blur the lines between autumnal, emotive house music and modern club-style techno. His EP ‘Deep Soul’ sees six solid cuts that range from brooding and deep to elemental and tech-y, all rooted in subtle texture. The EP includes two cracking remixes by Hamburg-duo Piemont and label boss Gurwan. The track ‘Another Zone (Gurwan No Go Remix)’ was featured on the renowned ‘Balance Series’ compilation by the legendary Stacey Pullen. 2016 began with a cutting edge minimal techno EP ‘A Revolution’ released with Lethal Dose Recordings which made it’s way to the Top 20 minimal tracks on beatport getting great support from the industry. Along with this EP he released on home labels Occultech, Soupherb and his debut on India’s finest Deep house label, Wind Horse Records with his track Mashita. With consistent quality releases, 2017 saw releases on Oculus Records, Copycow as well as his Collaborative EP ‘The Hive’ with Synister, label head of Occultech Recordings which created some chart action on beatport’s TOP 100 Minimal Releases! But that’s not all, January 7th 2018 he gives birth to his 5th EP ‘Night Flight’ on Qilla Records, which displays Folic State’s versatility and wide spectrum of writing music.
