There are DJs, and then there are “DJ’s DJs”—the influential jocks who break tunes, unearth obscure must-haves, spark off new trends, and breathe new life into the artform at every opportunity. Marc Schneider has been the embodiment of the latter for over two decades. The Hamburg native began amassing his personal collection of DJ weapons amid the heyday of ‘90s German raves, with his early appearances feeding the folklore of legendary parties such as Love Parade and the original Tresor club. As the longtime gatekeeper for music distributor Word and Sound, he has overseen virtually every worthwhile piece of vinyl to enter the country. He continues to apply his tastemaker status and veteran knowledge in the DJ booth through regular invitations to Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (London), Eleven (Tokyo), Rex Club (Paris), The Bunker (NYC), Bassani (Tbisili), Smart Bar (Chicago), Culture Box (Copenhagen), Watergate (Berlin), Electric Pickle (Miami). That’s not to mention his long-running affiliation with Hamburg’s PAL and the Golden Pudel Club, as well as the infamous annual event Fusion Festival. With his sporadic yet highly-valued releases and remixes for labels like Circus Company, Silver Network, New Kanada and Word and Sound’s inhouse imprint Was Not Was, Marc has endeared himself to record-buying heads over a number of years. Similarly, it was little surprise for those in the know to learn that Marc had been secretly at the helm of the formerly anonymous cult label Story, the unassuming vinyl-only imprint of quality deep cuts that has boasted the likes of Anton Zap, Cottam and XDB on its roster since 2008. Berlin-based Nat Wendell, a seasoned DJ and producer with a profound connection to his core sound, is one of house music’s true exponents. Uniquely his, Nat has left an indelible mark on a world of electronic music so often bereft of the essence of groove—the same groove that now regularly sparks the dynamic atmosphere of venues like Berghain/Panorama Bar and Heideglühen in Berlin. His mission, since 1998, has been the same: to captivate audiences with his unmistakable sense of swing. His musical upbringing in the melting pot of cultures that is London has been the catalyst for his sonic identity, and his very first record purchase, "Snap - The Power," proved to be a powerful harbinger of things to come. Immersed in the diverse Caribbean culture, with its roots in gospel, dancehall and soul, he developed a keen appreciation for the rhythmic intricacies of records. The influence of London's soundsystem culture is evident in his signature garage groove, though so too is the pulse of New York's 90’s house culture—from its intricate tempo to its powerful soul. A move to Berlin in the 2010s saw releases on essential labels like Courtesy of Balance, thisisnegentropy, King Street Sounds, as well as his very own Depths of My Soul. Sara Miller is an Irish-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer and sound engineer. Drawing from the timeless pulse of 90s progressive and deep house, alongside the Balearic, Italo and acid sounds that helped shape it, her sets are high energy, groove-driven and euphoric. Astral melodies, rubbery basslines and soaring breaks form her palette, shaping fluid journeys that blur the line between reflection and abandon. Over more than a decade, she has become a trusted presence on Europe's most respected dance floors, from Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson and Tresor to Phonox, Badaboum, Macadam and Nitsa. Her natural ease behind the decks mirrors her skill in the studio, where she translates club energy into finely detailed, melodic productions. Her relationship with Munich label Permanent Vacation began with Orange Sea (2021) and has grown through her acclaimed Lunar Theory EP (2023), vinyl debut Cervo on Cracki Records (2024), and remixes for Permanent Vacation and Live at Robert Johnson. Oceanic Dream (2025), her second EP for Permanent Vacation, moves between dreamlike introspection and open-hearted euphoria. DJ Mag described her as "one of the rare alchemists who can push a tune to its emotional breaking point while also keeping it on the right side of cheesy."
