Jenn Chan

One listing in New York, over the last three years

Jenn Chan is a Hong Kong–raised creative now based in Brooklyn. She grew up immersed in music — playing in orchestras, studying percussion, piano, and cello — and training in tap, modern dance, and ballet. She spent a significant part of her childhood at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (HKAPA), training in percussion and finding herself drawn to the theatre as a place of wonder. She was involved in musical theatre productions growing up, including The Wizard of Oz and Romeo and Juliet, participated at the annual UNESCO International Dance Day in Macao and the World Choir Games. The lifelong conversation between body, sound, and stage is the foundation of everything she creates.

During her time in Brooklyn, in 2026, Jenn began exploring the chemistry between sounds, lights, and movement while contributing to the production of independent festivals across the US. Along the way, she built experience in artist management and booking, working closely with musicians and performers to bring their work to audiences. Now, she's channeling all of it into her first solo immersive production: Hinoki, a two-night performance at Planet X Studios where dancers weave through the audience as sound, light, and movement unfold together — premiering October 17 and 18.
