Josephine
Josephine' Soundscapes is the moniker of Jose Salas, an audiovisual creator, art director, and active promoter of alternative culture in Madrid. When it comes to music, he has been an active participant in shaping Madrid's underground electronic music scene for over 20 years. In recent years, he has founded and worked as artistic director, promoter, and DJ in club nights and platforms such as Paraíso Madrid, CALMA, and the independent creative cell a_mal_gam_a (Dance Cave, Avalovara Listening Club, L'art Dance Club @ ARCO, and Festival En Pausa @ La Casa Encendida, among others). He also works as a DJ, programmer, and creative consultant for clubs, festivals, and cultural institutions.
He currently directs Campos de Marte, a small independent promoter dedicated to experimental music, and curates Temple, the listening sessions at Espacio Perpendicular. In addition, he has extensive experience in the audiovisual field related to music, working as a director, videographer, and VJ.
