From the vibrant streets of Cali, Colombia, to the most iconic stages around the world, Harvy Valencia has established himself as one of the most electrifying talents in electronic music. Born on February 13, 1992, John Harvy Valencia Mondragón grew up in a household where music was the universal language. Inspired by the sounds of legendary artists like Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, his passion for beats began early, experimenting with cassettes and instinctively creating mixes as if it were a natural calling. At 21 years old, in 2013, Harvy discovered his fascination with music production. Without easy access to specialized resources, he spent entire days at internet cafés researching and writing step-by-step manuals on how to produce music. His nights were dedicated to experimenting and perfecting his craft, reflecting his relentless discipline. Three years later, he trained as a DJ at the renowned Mix Máster Academy in Cali, officially launching his professional career in 2017. Recognition came quickly when figures like Marco Carola, Stefano Noferini, and Richie Hawtin began including his tracks in their sets. Harvy then realized he had found his purpose. His distinctive style, a fusion of minimal and tech house, not only brought him to global charts but also made his more than 300 productions a benchmark on the Top 100 tracks lists of the genre. Currently, his single "Moto Taxi" holds the 40th position, a milestone that reinforces his relevance in the scene. The path to success was not easy. For years, Harvy followed an exhausting routine, producing music from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., training at the gym, and then resuming his work until 5 a.m. This unwavering dedication earned him multiple accolades, including: Minimal Breakthrough Artist according to Billboard in 2015. Best DJ in Colombia 2024. DJ of the Year 2023. Additionally, Harvy has collaborated with industry titans like Jamie Jones and Chus & Ceballos and has released tracks on iconic labels such as Cuttin’ Headz by The Martinez Brothers and Hot Creations by Jamie Jones. The year 2024 marked a pinnacle in his career when he fulfilled one of his dreams: performing at the legendary Amnesia Ibiza, followed by sets at Hï Ibiza and Space Miami—temples of electronic music. This year, Harvy is set to return to Amnesia with his own global party, HarvieBal, a unique concept that promises to revolutionize the live music experience. Furthermore, his participation in the prestigious BPM Festival will solidify his position as one of the most relevant artists in electronic music. A breakthrough 2018 saw them play at some of the UK’s best venues and festivals including Creamfields, Parklife, WHP, Canal Mills and Studio 338. The Collective also made their European debut in Ibiza, Sonar and Hideout festival. MVSON events, each with a unique theme and dress code have rapidly grown to become one of the most renowned underground parties in Manchester. With a loyal following the brand is now expanding across the UK and hosting various takeovers and festival stages. Fashion is a focal concept among The Mason Collective and their creative vision and distinct style has led to national campaigns and collaborations with Adidas, Footasylum and Gramm. With their first solo EP ‘Whippin’ [Wow! Recordings] hitting #1 on Beatport, Mason Collective’s prominence in the charts was upheld throughout the year with releases on labels including HotTrax, Blackflag, Roush and Solid Grooves. The Collective also released highly acclaimed remixes of Bipolar Sunshine’s ‘Major Love’ and MK’s ‘Back and Forth’.
