Terence Fixmer's music has the remarkable ability to not only set feet in motion on the dance floor but also resonate deeply with the searching soul, all while maintaining a profound musical depth and integrity. In the world of techno, Terence Fixmer is a highly respected figure, celebrated for his innovative and genre-defying approach to music production. With a career spanning over two decades, he has released numerous albums and EPs on some of the most prestigious techno labels. His remixing talents have extended to tracks from industry giants like Depeche Mode, Yann Tiersen, Sven Väth, Dave Clarke, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Indochine, and more. Terence Fixmer is renowned for the quality of his live performances, gracing renowned clubs and festivals worldwide. Chapter 1: 1998-2007. In 1998, Terence established his own label, Planete Rouge. From 1999 to 2007, he gained worldwide recognition with the release of his debut album, "Muscle Machine," under DJ Hell's legendary International Deejay Gigolos imprint. This album masterfully blended elements of electro, industrial, EBM, and techno, pioneering a dancefloor-oriented style later recognized as "Techno Body Music." Tracks like "Electrostatic," "Body Pressure," and "Electric Vision" are still hailed as modern classics today. In 2002, Fixmer joined forces with Nitzer Ebb's lead singer, Douglas McCarthy, to form Fixmer/McCarthy. Together, they released two full-length albums that pushed the boundaries of Techno EBM to the maximum. The album "Fixmer McCarthy Between the Devil" has earned its place as a revered classic, and the band has become iconic in the Techno EBM scene. The duo has performed their energetic live sets at numerous renowned clubs and festivals all across the globe.Fixmer/McCarthy earned respect in the global scene for their unique way of creating truly pioneering sound fusions by elegantly blending the aggression of Techno Body Music and the sensuality of Electronica. Chapter 2: 2007-2015 Fixmer continued to expand the horizons of modern techno, releasing albums and EPs under his own name as well as various alter egos, showcasing his ability to maintain a unique sonic personality while avoiding repetition. His works found homes on highly respected techno labels such as Electric De Luxe (notably the "Comedy of Menace" album in 2010), Prologue, Jealous God, CLR (including the "Depth Charged" album in 2014), Aufnahme + Wiedergabe. He subsequently released various EPs on Ostgut Ton ( Force EP, Devil May Care EP) and his album "Through the Cortex LP ." in 2017. Fixmer's distinct sound signature remained in high demand, leading to remix requests from notable artists such as Depeche Mode, Front 242, Ellen Allien, Front Line Assembly, Arnaud Rebotini, Yann Tiersen, The Hacker etc.. their own biography

    the whole biography
Exposed to music from day one, the guitar was first for Luka and it came from somewhere harder. Growing up in Belgrade under sanctions and bombs, music became his fantasy world for escaping reality. Spending weekend nights in his mid-twenties in Berlin’s scene while studying classical music and preparing concerts in Zurich, he discovered something in endless nights at Panorama Bar and rising collectives that a concert hall couldn’t offer: belonging, a space where community and music became one, where joy rose into a form of resistance and healing. „I‘m not a DJ, you mixed me up“, Luka turned down his first booking request. 2 months after that first show for Herrensauna in Zurich, Paragon NYC happened and he fell in love, even though it took him a while to call himself a DJ. Luka digs what moves and plays tight, blending overlooked records with modern productions until the decades between them disappear, moving from floating to physical, hypnotic to hard, shaped by years spent collaborating across dance, visual art and live electronics before touching a CDJ. The concert hall still shows up in how he plays: long phrasing, returning motifs, a build that teases before it breaks. tanzen6000 grew directly out of that experience and a need for unity: Zurich’s scene felt split into bubbles that rarely met, so he pitched an idea for a tiny venue: 4 DJs, completely different sounds. It sold out. The second edition doubled capacity. Today tanzen6000 is one of Zurich’s vital queer-led collectives with home-base at Kauz, where POC, trans, queer and FLINTA artists shine and amplify unity between communities. Selected past venues: Macadam (Nantes), Motel Campo (Geneva), Montreux Jazz Festival, Nachbar (Amsterdam), Bizarre Festival (Paris), Dalston Superstore (London), Garcon Sauvage (Lyon), sic (CDMX), Paragon (NYC), Podlasie (Chicago), Le Bain (NYC), Schwing & Stampf Festival, six dogs (Athens), Kauz (Zurich), Exil (Zurich), Circle Park (Brussels), Dolu (Sofia), Brutal MX (CDMX), Vago (Lisbon), Flower Factory (Washington D.C) Selected podcasts: Smut, Kiosk Radio, Rinse, IsBurning, Vitamine, Homodrop
