“As an artist, Batu continually strikes out on his own.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
As an artist, Batu continually strikes out on his own. Rightly hailed for his distinctive slant on modernist techno and experimental club music, he’s also prolific beyond the dancefloor. His is a sound marked out by bold shapes and angular expressions, whether strapped to physical rhythms or not. His 2022 debut album Opal took his accomplished sound design into broader spheres of expression, while production work for FKA Twigs saw him approaching pop sensibilities with his non-conformist sonic palette. As well as his production work, Batu’s presence as a DJ on the international club and festival circuit touches on venerated events such as Glastonbury, Dekmantel Festival, Sonar and Unsound. The flexibility in his sound also translates to the intimacy of smaller underground events - an environment which remains inspiring even as he graces some of the biggest stages for electronic music globally. Beyond sonics, his interests expand into visual work too, having produced and directed the video to his own track ‘Solace’ and collaborated on an A/V composition with Harry Butt for his Crack Magazine cover feature - one of multiple cover features he’s been placed on. Taken alongside his music, Batu’s holistic engagement with electronic music culture adds up to a considered spectrum of output and efforts with a shared aim - to push things forward.
Their RA profile lists XL Recordings, Hessle Audio, Livity Sound, Timedance and 1 more.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Patrick Russell is a true veteran of the US underground, perhaps one of the last unsung heroes of a now lost era in the Midwest. A genuine sonic storyteller, he magically transforms the diaspora of acid, pure jack energy, and hints of IDM into a deep, fluent sonic dialog that never fails to devastate both minds and dance floor. A Detroit-bred DJ, artist, and producer active since the early 90's, Patrick has now made New York City his home. Perhaps best known as a key figure in the legendary No Way Back parties, his ability to weave intensely unique, long-format narratives has earned him critical acclaim and repeat performances at Japan’s Labyrinth festival, Berghain, Unsound, and DEMF/Movement. Patrick has also been steadily building a strong catalog of high-profile productions to compliment his increasingly varied, hypnotic, and in-demand DJ sets; his recent 3-track remix EP on The Bunker New York also marks his induction as an official resident DJ at the long-running Brooklyn party. His consummate taste and disciplined execution have created a respect that cannot be purchased. Patrick Russell is not just a name to watch, he is someone to be experienced.

“GiGi FM is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ, dancer, and music producer whose journey began in the underground squat raves of South London.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
GiGi FM is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ, dancer, and music producer whose journey began in the underground squat raves of South London. Now based in Berlin, GiGi has grown into a dynamic force in electronic music, captivating audiences at iconic stages and festivals worldwide. Whether blending techno, bass, and breaks or creating immersive ambient soundscapes, GiGi FM’s sets are a masterful exploration of versatility and emotional depth, transporting dancefloors into states of ecstasy. Now in her sixth year as a resident on NTS Radio, GiGi FM continues to explore sonic dimensions and share her unique musical palette. Her show is a space for deep inner journeys, weaving emotional storytelling through sound. Over the years, she has hosted esteemed guests such as Donato Dozzy, Voices From the Lake, Jako Jako & Mareena, and Vladimir Ivkovic, with many more to come. Each episode reflects GiGi’s ability to curate a shared space for introspection, transcendence, and collective experience through music. Movement has always been central to GiGi’s creative practice. A professionally trained dancer (Paris Opera & Alvin Ailey), she approaches music production as an extension of the body, often incorporating gestural techniques to create sound. Her 2022 EP Magnetite on Bambounou’s Bambe label was crafted using a MYO motion sensor, where arm gestures layered sounds in real time, embodying the interplay between physicality and sonic expression. This innovative approach flows into her self-released series, Kiwi Synthesis Diary, beginning with Vol. 1 in 2021, a deeply personal project born from using Ableton as a journal. Its successor, Kiwi Synthesis Diary Vol. 2 (2023), marked the launch of her own label, Sea~rène, a platform for euphoric, boundary-pushing soundscapes. Her most recent release, Movimiento (2024), expands on this narrative. The EP celebrates the transformative energy of dance, blending vibrant club rhythms with introspective sound design. It’s a body of work that encapsulates GiGi’s ethos: to create music that moves both body and mind. Deeply influenced by astrology, philosophy, and the cosmos, GiGi FM’s artistry bridges sound, movement, and metaphysics. In addition to her DJ sets and productions, she is developing a live ambient project linking meditation, reflection, her own poetry, and productions to craft deeply immersive experiences. Whether on the dancefloor or in moments of stillness, GiGi’s work invites audiences to connect with themselves and the universe around them. In 2025, GiGi FM continues to tour globally, including her first Australia tour and an extensive US tour, while releasing new music and curating innovative projects. Ever-evolving, she remains dedicated to crafting music and experiences that inspire reflection, transcendence, and joy.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
After getting her start performing at underground poetry events in her hometown, she eventually moved on to playing live beat sets during open mic nights at one of KC's most pivotal queer nightlife institutions of the 21st century, the Uptown Arts Bar. Occasionally she'd wander upstairs to Niche, a 100-cap club with a legendary sound system known as the Meta HiFi. There she got her first taste of the sounds of the UK bass continuum and the LA beat scene, with its prominent figureheads like Flying Lotus, Ras G and Shlohmo. Ever the nomad, she would spend her mid-twenties traveling, flitting between cities like New York and LA and the mountainous terrain of the Colorado Rockies. At 26 years old, she left behind a stable career in psychotherapy to pursue her creative dreams. This would lead her back to Niche where a ravenous desire to evolve as an artist connected her with Peter Anthony, aka Coughman, who ran the independent KC collective and label, Intelligent Sound. Soon Anthony encouraged Zo and her friends Mazzy Mann and Lorelei Kretsinger to build a platform of their own. In October 2017, the three of them founded the UN/TUCK queer/trans collective and record label. Over the next two years, they tirelessly built UN/TUCK into an internationally recognized platform, releasing their own music and organizing shows and parties curated specifically for trans and queer people in Kansas City. Under the name BTRFLY, Zo produced her own LA-inspired beats and rapped over them in her sets. As she delved further into the realms of Chicago house, early 2000s UK dubstep, and the hybrid sounds of Hessle Audio, Hyperdub and Idle Hands, she discovered a profound love for DJing and a different kind of production. Now based in Brooklyn, she has made definitive creative statements in 2022, releasing her debut EP, Screw Cheek, on acclaimed UK club label, Scuffed Recordings, and a follow-up EP, Freak Shift, on Martyn's hallowed 3024 imprint, as well as a slew of national bookings at Bunker NY, Texture Detroit, Sole Rehab, clubs like Nowadays, Good Room and Kremwerk, festivals like Slingshot and Honcho Campout and many more on the horizon. It's clear that Zo has solidified her place as an emerging artist firmly in her own lane, with tracks that span the continuum of UK bass and North American techno and house, and mixes that seamlessly capture and defy her genres of interest, blending deep dark percussive bass and broken beat with blistering techno, psychedelic house, east coast club and more.
