Soos is a DJ and producer from Mexico City that has been pushing a zany approach to dance music for over 17 years. Both his DJ and studio work explore the phenomenon of cross-genre narratives that blend anything from obscure dubby house to dreamy downtempo – a creative vehicle for an eclectic music palette where amusement and discovery rule over all other traditional story-telling. Via his studio work, the D.F. born producer traverses the musical universes of 1990’s and 2000’s nostalgia by re-contextualizing the retro sonic shades of latin club music, balearic-influenced soundscapes, and downtempo techno – landing him releases in acclaimed record labels like Japan’s Mule Music. Within a constant DJ agenda in Mexico spawning in clubs, festivals and one-off events, Soos has landed a handful of residencies that reflect his multifarious taste like the country-wide party series Sunday Sunday and Departameto. In addition to these residencies, the “Mundo Cute” artist perpetually presents international radio shows like NTS, Rinse.FM and Refuge Worldwide.Their RA profile lists Mule Musiq, Netter System, Antimateria Sonora, Creatures of the Night and 1 more.often with Timo Lee, Ani Phoebe, Femdelic, none of them here that night

"It's D's World, we're just living in it" - Guy reading my iPhone notes on the M Train Longtime dancefloor staple Dan Creahan has been a quiet but vital energy in New York's thriving late-night scene, promoting and running door as energetically as he throws down on the floor. As a producer, he's often sought to explore the range around the center of the floor, working behind a number of pen names that have settled in recent years around around Alien D, a coy reworking of his first name, and the most direct outlet for his productions. Having previously released tapes with Mind Dynamics, a driving, frenetic project that pushed noise sensibilities and an improv-first focus on dance music stylings, Creahan worked through a range of concepts and monikers before releasing his first record as Alien D in 2018. Building sonic worlds around shared concepts and studio workflows, he rarely sits in one place for too long, exploring ever-shifting sonic palettes that have branched out from his initial formula of loose break tracks, tinged with elements of house and dub and into a range of sources, from spaced-out B12 tributes to tracks nodding towards the heyday of West Coast rave and downtempo. Bringing the same energy he's honed as a label head and promoter to his studio practice, the horizon looks bright for this Alien, gleaming out into the depths of space, where new worlds await <3House on 9, Techno on 9, Downtempo on 6 and Experimental on 4. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Kulture Galerie (2), Honey Trap (1) and Theory Therapy (1); their RA profile also lists Sweat Equity NYC and Twin System. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Xpizza, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mansions · often with No Sir, Andrew Devlin, NIGELTHREETIMES, none of them here that night
