Andhim – new boys in town It was spring 2010 when the cologne natives decided to kick their ass into gear and get out of their Studio to bring their beats to the world. Less than 12 months later Andhim were voted in the top-ten German newcomers of Groove and Raveline Magazine and their records were found in the cases and remix-wishes of many unknown and famous DJ’s alike. Their sound, which they self describe as “Super House” has become its very own genre built from their soul and passion. Andhim’s unique sound, party proven and of reduced nature, is organic with an emphasis in the finer detail. The boys grassroots flow from Hip-Hop, and they work mainly with samples which makes their tracks one of a kind. This individuality has earned them a home with Labels such as Monaberry, Terminal M, Sunset Handjob or Get Physical. When performing live one can really feel the full commitment and passion of the boys.Energetic, creative and always entertaining, they present their very own interpretation of electronic dance music that makes dads cheer and mums scream. The boys see the record player as their instrument, which they use to create new sound worlds, which separates them from the standard reproductive character of a DJ. Their musical talent and knowledge of technique comes from their musical resume: When other kids were playing at the pool eating French fries on their summer holidays, 16 year old Simon was scratching with several jazz-musicians through Europe. When he was 20 he became known as Simon² tempted to electronic music. Similarly, but on different level, Tobias developed in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. As part of the Turntable-Crew “Noisy-Stylus” he became a multiple ITF- and DMC-Champion and influenced the Turntablism scene of the time with Noisy-Stylus in their own Battlebreakrecords and album “Table Manners”. The final chapter was at a Bavarian sausage-eating contest, facing each other in the final round covered from head to toe in sausage. They immediately knew what to do and founded the Boy band “Andhim”. Just a logical progression! After massive gigs through Europe, North America and Asia, the boys continuously work on their sound and development in an effort to explore new worlds of sound. With strong support from many Artists and Labels of the scene they are looking forward to the future with optimism and are excited to make the people of the world dance, smile and go crazy!Their RA profile lists Get Physical Music, Moon Harbour Recordings, Freude Am Tanzen, Terminal M and 5 more.Last at NOIR NY in Oct · often with Nico Bernardini, Silvie Loto, WhoMadeWho, none of them here that night

The globally-prolific Brazilian-born, Lisbon-based DJ and producer moved to Barcelona in 2015 to be nearer the European dance music circuit – a scene that had grown fond of her hypnotic and melodic techno released on a range of vital labels from Drumcode to Plus 8, Mute Records to Afterlife. Her summer 2019 hit 'Forever Ravers' with Miss Kittin on Kompakt lit up dancefloors around the globe and became a pandemic anthem while her powerful, driving productions continued to evolve and enrich her sound with every new track, often distinctively infused with an ambient essence that served as a primer for her shift towards the ambient music world. Anna is now twenty plus years into a celebrated and highly revered career, one that had elevated her from the dancefloors of Six – the nightclub her father owned in the rural outskirts of São Paolo, and where she first cut her teeth behind the decks. ANNA was – and remains – every bit the sought-after techno superstar - she continues to perform at some of the world’s most esteemed clubs including DC10, Hi, Printworks and Warung and takes to the stage at iconic festivals ranging from Movement to Tomorrowland, TimeWarp to Coachella. In the last years, she’s delivered classic crossover remixes for the likes of Jon Hopkins, Orbital and, now, her huge rework of Depeche Mode’s ‘My Cosmas Is Mine’ – which the band embraced hugely despite it not even being a selected single from their 2023 album. It was granted Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on its debut radio play on BBC Radio 1. Anna has been a DJ since she was 14 year’s old. “I experimented with all styles in the beginning. After some time, I found my identity and it was techno. I became focused on my career 100 percent of the time. I would practice for ten hours a day, and I was always researching and planning,” she says. It’s this drive – an incessant desire to “make better music and be more creative” – that led her to a neurofeedback centre in Germany in October 2017. This is where she took the vital next steps in her self-realisation journey – opening her mind and forever altering her creative process and worldly outlook in the process. This would eventually lead to the creation of her debut ambient album ‘Intentions’ (released with Mercury KX through Decca this year), which sees her trading in her club-driven production for sound healing and ambient sensibilities. “I left the centre totally surrendered to spirit and to my soul. I thought, ‘What is it that life wants to pass through me?’” She'd long been interested in spirituality and utilised meditation as a tool for recentring for some time. However, it had never been her main focus. These days, she is fully committed to following the course as well as other forms of spiritual and meditative practice – including Transcendental Meditation, Vipassana (“You're in your process; you don't speak to anyone, and you meditate for 10 hours a day”), and Shamanic energy healing training. After the course in Germany, she started to experience things differently. Classical music is something she discovered a passion for after opening herself up to a more contemplative and love-filled way of life. Ambient, too. In fact, her ‘Intentions’ journey started with ANNA experimenting with sounds and frequencies to use as a tool in her meditations and contemplative moments. Using pianos and flutes; and sound healing techniques, she’d listen to these works – these soundscapes for self-realisation – while exploring the world. The outside world, of course (both touring and nature itself remain fruitful sources of inspiration) but also the inner. This debut album includes a collaboration with Grammy Award-winning artist Jon Hopkins; long-time ambient guru Laraaji and contemporary ambient artist East Forest. Their acceptance of Anna’s ambient project is a result of the power of the music. It is her understanding of how the Techno and Ambient worlds can sit side by side that makes it feel so natural. “I am everything. I am the stillness, the chaos, the light. I'm combining these worlds. I am bringing this more open and spiritual side to my techno side, so that everything becomes one.” In doing so, ANNA’s found a way to channel her emotional empathy and crowd-reading talents into her current output across her two musical careers. Anna’s very own name is a palindrome and her career is now the same: two worlds, one true artist.Their RA profile lists novamute, Kompakt, Plus 8 Records Ltd, Domino and 6 more.Last at 99 Scott Ave in Aug · often with KAWABE, BELA.B, DJ M!AU, none of them here that night

Colyn's signature sound evokes transmissions of emotion through soaring nostalgic memories; although you've never heard anything quite like this before. Endless textures and delayed synth stutters fall into euphoric grooves each more infectious than the last. Although it might seem he is new to the scene, and despite his young age, Colyn's dedication to his craft is timeless. He first started producing 9 years ago and has been building on it since. His initial breakthrough came when the popular duo ‘Tale of Us‘ picked up on his sound and started playing out his music regularly. With ‘Amor‘ getting signed to their successful imprint and event concept ‘Afterlife‘, he started to turn heads. Other Afterlife artists such as Mind Against, Fideles, Mathame, Vaal, and Kevin de Vries heavily supported the record. Also Joris Voorn is a fan, playing it at Awakenings, his Spectrum Radio Show and even called it ’one of his favorite records of the year’. Amor was also featured in Spotify playlists by Kölsch and Rüfüs Du Sol. Not long after, it got picked up by Tomorrowland to be featured as one of the soundtracks for their Official Aftermovie of 2019. When, at the time, ‘Resolve’ got featured on the ‘Afterlife Fans’ group, it didn’t take long for the rumors to surface. As they snowballed, all indicators started pointing at Colyn. Now, Resolve is the lead track on his new EP on Afterlife, featuring 4 original tracks. His 'Resolve' EP received support from Tale of Us, Solomun, Adriatique, Damian Lazarus, Stephan Bodzin, Artbat, Patrice Bäumel, Fideles, Konstantin Sibold, Kevin de Vries, Jennifer Cardini, Marcus Worgull, Marino Canal, and many others.Their RA profile lists Afterlife, Infinite Depth, DAYS like NIGHTS and Atlant.often with Adriatique, Henri Bergmann, Sainte Vie, none of them here that night

“Enamour has never fit neatly into one lane, and that has always been the point.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Enamour has never fit neatly into one lane, and that has always been the point. His work is defined by perspective—emotionally charged, immersive dance music that feels as transportive on headphones as it does in a club. Hard to pin down but easy to recognize, the project balances melody, psychedelia, and physicality in a way that feels both purposeful and personal. If Enamour’s most visible songs offer one way in, the wider catalog tells the fuller story: a body of work whose range, depth, and point of view extend far beyond the narrow frame of algorithmic snapshots, revealing something stranger and more expansive beneath the surface. This is music with immediate impact, but enough detail and texture to reward repeat listens. That balance between accessibility and depth is exactly what has given the project its far-reaching appeal. Frequent support from industry leaders including Solomun, Camelphat, John Summit, Damian Lazarus, Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, and Lee Burridge speaks to a catalog that moves fluidly across scenes without losing its identity, while official remixes for RÜFÜS DU SOL, RY X, Cassian, Above & Beyond, and Lane 8 underscore both its reach and distinctiveness. The same is true of Enamour’s touring life, which has taken him around the world and into institutions like fabric London, Space Miami, The Brooklyn Mirage, Echostage DC, The Bow in Buenos Aires, and Stereo Montreal. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, the signature is the same: music built for the club, for headphones, and for the people who want more from both.Their RA profile lists BMG, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical Music, Armada Music and 6 more.Last at Elsewhere in Aug · often with Weska, Calypsis, Vivi Wonder, none of them here that night

Giolì plays the piano, cello, drums, guitar, and handpan, and Assia handles lead vocal duties as well as the guitar. Although their relationship started as manager and artist, the creative partnership developed into a production and songwriting duo in 2016. Later that year, they founded their own record label imprint to distribute their music, Diesis Records. The artists started their career in 2017 with their first single “Stay Closer,” followed by “Endless”, “Paradise to Share,” and ”How Can I.” In March of 2018, they released their debut album, Istantanee, with lead single “Starry Nights” getting its debut in front of TimeOut72, a massive Indian music festival. In May of 2018, the duo released the single “Something Special” with Spinnin’ Records, which garnered them enough attention for their first residency in Ibiza at Privilege. Not ones to rest on their accomplishments, Giolì & Assia were so inspired by their time in Ibiza that they released their second album of 2018, Night Experience, on their own Diesis Records. “Mad in Love” was the first single, and with it the duo honed in on their unique blend of melodic techno. 2019 has seen a flurry of creative output, with the release of the singles “Feel Good,” “Blame On Me,” and “Inside Your Head,” as well as their own creative covers of “These Boots Are Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra and “Fever” by Peggy Lee. In April of 2019, Giolì & Assia launched #DiesisLive, a live stream on Youtube and Facebook of their explosive live show, blending electronic music with live instrumentation and singing, in Milazzo, Sicily. Since then, the video has racked up over six million views. Always ones to outdo themselves, in May they launched the second edition of #DiesisLive on top of a live volcano in the Aeolian Islands, which quickly garnered legions of new fans and over three million views. “For Danish Native Rune Reilly Kölsch, Kompakt is the “perfect label” to call “home.””
their own biography
the whole biography
For Danish Native Rune Reilly Kölsch, Kompakt is the “perfect label” to call “home.” The much-‐ revered Cologne-‐based imprint released Kölsch’s seminal LP ‘1977’ in 2013, continuing a tradition of providing ground breaking and genre-‐defining cuts. Kölsch’s work proved to rewrite the rulebook on techno production, setting it on a melodic, emotion-‐induced course. Kölsch returns to Kompakt this year with his long-‐awaited album ‘1983,’ a veritable master class from one of techno’s very best. Kölsch, Rune’s primary and personal project, is a medium for the narration of his life through sonic soundscapes. Rune’s first critically acclaimed album release, ‘1977’, which is full of timeless tracks such as Loreley, Opa, Oma and Goldfisch, signifies the year of his birth and draws inspiration from his culturally diverse upbringing. Rune himself notes, “being half Irish, half German and living in Denmark – it was all one big messy period of my life.” Living in Christiania, an anarchic hippie commune in Copenhagen while spending school summers in Germany with his grandparents, Rune recalls how ‘1977’ was a product of “reminiscing about what shaped me as a kid” and “the weird ideas and concepts I had on my mind at the time.” While Rune attributes the emotion of ‘1977’ to the “solace” and “imaginary world that I would spend days in,” he describes ‘1983’ as a “travel album,” sound tracking the first year he travelled through Europe aged six. The sentimentality is clear; the journey is vibrant and picturesque. Rune describes the experience of traveling from Denmark through Europe to the South of France as driving from “cold northern winter through the spring into the summer.” Kölsch continues to perform to the highest calibre, serving an acclaimed Essential Mix for Pete Tong to the BBC Radio 1 listeners, setting the Fabric main room alight with his sound, playing Space Terrace – in his words “a boyhood dream since I started going to Ibiza in 1999” and opening Ushuaia in 2015. Kölsch has continued this run of global domination with his Australian Tour, South American Tour and also the Ibiza commitments in 2015, where he’s also playing Space and Amnesia + closing Ushuaia with Antz. Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac has shown her undying support, noting 'that man is sort of King when it comes to pianos and House music. He’s got a way of wrenching your emotions.' Continuing his exploration of the complete musical spectrum, Kölsch has also given Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars”, a characteristically extended remix that improves upon the original in every conceivable way. Rune describes how ‘1983’ has been over two years in the making. The result is an elegant, anthemic, transcendent soundtrack, which engulfs the listener from the outset. A sonic coupling of classical composition and contemporary production, the addition of Gregor Schwellenbach's emotive orchestral strings blend in harmony with the beat-‐laden percussion, offering a symphony of sound unheard in the techno spectrum. The final track ‘Papageno,’ taking its name from the main character in the play the ‘Magic Flute,’ is about Rune’s revelation while watching that very play. It dawned on him that “the whole higher establishment of the German upper-‐middle class” were instead of watching the stage, looking at him, “this little hippie kid, and they did not approve of me being a part of their society.” With Waa Industry supplying the melancholic vocals, the track serves as a plaintive end to the cathartic experience that is ‘1983.’Their RA profile lists Kompakt, Green, FM X, Sound Of Copenhagen and 1 more.often with Oktave, Francis Mercier, Kimonos, none of them here that night

The three members of N/UM come from a variety of musical backgrounds. Jeremy Loucas is a five time Grammy winning mixing & mastering engineer with years spent as a DJ in the underground party scene in NY – Elias Meister, an electronically experimental guitarist with a decade of performance experience in free and improvised music – Emil Bovbjerg is a vocalist, synth instrumentalist and producer/DJ with a background in orchestration and contemporary arranging and composition. Each performance or recording by N/UM is improvised, with no pre-composed songs, no plan or structure agreed upon. Despite the daring premise and unconventional creative approach the raison d’etre and mission statement of N/UM is simple: The opposite of war is a dance floor. N/um translates to medicine or supernatural potent energy. The word is used by the !Kung (formerly Bushmen), an indigenous people of Botswana and Namibia, to describe a healing energy used to cure sickness, both mental and physical, in individuals as well as the community as a whole. N/um is a central part of weekly dancing ceremonies, lasting typically from nightfall into dawn, in which the tribe’s members gather to dance for many hours until dancers enter into varying states of trance. As the trance deepens the n/um builds in the stomach, travels up through the spine and eventually explodes in the brain as the healers reach !Kia, the state in which, according to the tribe’s beliefs, a healer can transfer n/um to those in need of healing as well as to the community where it is said to maintain unity and relieve jealousy, greed and lack of gift giving. Among the !Kung everyone is encouraged to take part in the rituals and over half of the tribe’s members have become healers by the time they reach adulthood. You dance, dance, dance. Then n/um lifts you up in your belly and lifts you in your back, and then you start to shiver. [N/um] makes you tremble, it's hot. . . . Your eyes are open but you don't look around; you hold your eyes still and look straight ahead. But when you get into !kia, you're looking around because you see everything, because you see what's troubling everybody . . . n/um enters every part of your body right to the tip of your feet and even your hair. - Kinachau (via Richard Katz)Their RA profile lists Visionquest, Lost Diaries, Duro and Ninetofire.Last at Mansions in Sep · often with Greg Paulus, O.BEE, Tomas Station, none of them here that night
