Julio G is a music lover, world traveler, community organizer and entrepreneur. Known by his stage name, The Whooligan, he has over 15 years of performance experience as a globally recognized DJ and Artist. Julio’s commitment to social impact is what motivated him to launch music-based, humanitarian organization, Room Service International in 2018. Under Julio’s leadership, Team RSI has expanded their mission to live a life of service in 4 continents around the world – Room Service International connects cultures and activates change through the power of dance music, events and community service initiatives. From 2013 - 2018, Julio was a resident DJ and served as the Director of Worldwide Bookings and Partnerships for Los Angeles based music collective, Soulection. In late 2020, because of his vast music network, Julio became an A&R & Label Manager for Paradise Worldwide, an independent digital distribution company based in Berlin, with offices in Johannesburg, New York, Shenzhen, Mexico City and San Francisco. The Whooligan has a monthly radio show, Room Service Radio, which airs every 2nd Friday of the month on Source Radio - Roche Musique’s 24/7 online music network broadcasted from Paris. In 2022, Julio became the Music Director for Brooklyn’s beloved Wine and Vinyl Bar, Sauced, located at 331 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. The seasoned artist, vibe curator and humanitarian brings a unique perspective to the music industry through service, open-mindedness and inherent positivity. As a world class music selector, The Whooligan has performed in countless international tours and one-off events, reaching 6 continents, 40+ countries and over 100 cities. Julio's relentless work ethic, insatiable curiosity for travel and undeniable love of bringing people together has fostered a community in celebration of underground dance music, diversity and inclusion. As a trusted source of insight and groundbreaking music across the globe, The Whooligan’s zest for life, ability to identify new music and creative culture first, has led him to collaborations with brands including MTV, VICE, Red Bull, Boiler Room, Soundcloud, Def Jam Records, NIKE, PUMA, ALO, JD Sports, Brooklyn Circus, Daily Paper & Maison Kitsuné. As a multifaceted and genre-bending artist, he’s also shared the stage with the likes of the late Mac Miller, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kaytranada, The Internet, DJ A-Trak, Kenny Dope, Natasha Diggs, Just Blaze, De La Soul, Mark Farina, Soul Clap, Tokimonsta & Little Dragon. Glasgow’s finest, Lauren Andrew, aka La La has made waves for herself in recent years. With origins in Edinburgh’s FLY Club and Glasgow’s Sub Club, she stepped out of her native Scotland in 2019 and hit the ground running on the international circuit, regularly playing at world-renowned clubs and festivals, before launching a family of record labels. La La’s reach now extends around the world, having toured extensively across Europe, Asia and Australia, at institutions such as Fabric London, Circoloco Ibiza, Lost Sundays Sydney and Awakenings Amsterdam to name a few, as well as headlining her own parties in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Dublin. Her weekly radio shows on Rinse FM, broadcasts on Boiler Room and Mixmag Lab, and guest appearances on BBC Radio One have cemented La La as an authority on dance music. Her taste spans peak time Techno to classic House, and everything in between, perhaps best demonstrated on her debut release ‘Give Yourself A Try’, a 10 track mixtape released via her own Brand New Records imprint in 2023. After launching Brand New Records as an imprint to empower Scottish artists, La La then started sister-label Sound As – an outlet for great music beyond Scotland. Having already hosted the likes of Spencer Parker and Man Power, Sound As is carving out a space for quality dance music, whatever the genre.
